Nothing lasts forever and Pho Lee is a prime example. I used to come here often and today after revisiting, I hopped on yelp and read the most recent reviews. These reviews pointed out lack of quality in the food and service. I'm sad to say they are in fact true. I will never come back here again. $14.99 for a big bowl of noodles, subpar broth and two or three pieces of meat( kind you before they used to stack your bowl with meat.) If you want good pho in the area try Pho Amor in Norco. My sister also asked for extra lemon which she never received. Don't waste your money here. Not sure why, but suddenly there is a boon of Pho restaurants starting up nearby. Not that I am complaining, except several of them are exceptionally good. It just makes it harder to choose which one to patronize when the opportunity presents itself. I can assure you, this place earned a very high ranking on my favorites list. Black Friday, the eve after Thanksgiving. Abandoned already, a football widow, I was having depressing thoughts of eating Turkey Day leftovers. But my devoted son had offered to bring home a to-go order of pho, the #5 Tai Pho Bo, with rare steak (a very good way to ensure tender beef, btw). Heck yeah, said I. The ingredients were separated into several containers: a piping hot, clear broth in a huge one, a generous portion of raw, thinly sliced beef with a handful of cilantro and raw onions in another, a large mound of cooked vermicelli in yet another, plus a small bag of super fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, a juicy lime wedge, and thinly sliced jalapeno. I could tell just from looking and sniffing, this was going to be special. Assembly required. No problemo, I already knew the drill. The aroma coming from the broth alone was drool worthy, a profound essence of authentic spices that kept my nose guessing. First things I added to my LARGE bowl were the cooled, stuck-together noodles and meat. Meanwhile, the broth remained so hot that, as I performed the pour-over, the meat seared perfectly. As the thinly sliced beef cooked, I added the remainder of raw ingredients. The squeeze of lime juice was the ultimate topper. Combined, it took on a new character, even a cloudiness, making it more delectable than ever. Everything was softened, cooked, combined into a most satisfying soup. Slurp, with a fork in hand to assist with the lanky noodles and beef, I uttered, " Pho-get those stupid chop sticks." I went into my lotus position and found myself at complete peace with the world. I suppose I could have shared. There was plenty. But I didn't. Sometimes I am not so nice. Oh, lovely Thai street food... we, the lucky recipients of their honest and healthy cuisine, are so grateful. $7.95 well spent. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have eaten at over 30 Vietnamese Restaurants in the US. The server was HORRIBLE! She gave me my phone with no vegetables/toppings. I asked her to steam the bean sprouts and that's all she brought was bean sprouts. I then asked for limes and she brought me one. I then asked where is the Basil. She actually brought me a sprig of Basil. She was holding it in by the stem, not on a plate, a saucer or a napkin! I should have gotten up and walked out! The service never got better. They don't give you any fresh vegetables with the pho or egg rolls unless you ask. Then she brings it out one by one. The shrimp and vermicelli was cooked perfectly, the egg roll tasted great, Thai tea solid. This places stunts on all the other phó being served in Corona/Norco. Every bowl is made with loving attentiveness by the owners, you can taste the attention to detail in their broth. Frangrant but not overpowering, sweet but not sickly, the broth here is my favorite thing of all the local establishments. WHOA. Why ANYONE would rate this place more than one star, let alone FIVE stars completely baffles me. We were headed home after a long road trip and decided to stop by for dinner based on their stellar reviews. First, a young female server forgot to come back to our table to take our order. We had to stare at her and basically wave her down to come to us. Her expression and body language was clear she had forgotten about us. Second, my husband asked for a large pho with brisket and tendon. "So you want brisket and tendon?" "Yes." "What size?" "...large." "I'll get the large chicken pho." "What size?" "...large..." This should've been our warning to get up and leave. It was clear she was not attentive or gave a sh*t about working there (TBH, there was a young male and female server working there and they appeared to be either the owners kids or relative. They had ZERO urgency and it was VERY clear they did not want to be there. Again this is just an assumption but it's either true or the owner sucks at hiring). Third, we waited, and waited and waited and waited. I have NEVER waited so long for pho and egg rolls in my life. You know what the issue was? They were understaffed (I get it, COVID...) BUT they were taking to-go orders left and right. So while their diners were sitting there waiting for their food, the staff was too busy piling up their to-go orders on their to-go table. There was a table of 6 sitting next to us, and they would get an order of egg roll, then 10 mins later a bowl of pho, then 15 mins later their fried rice. Wtf?? We waited nearly 40 mins for egg rolls and two pho (I have little kids, every minute was excruciating). Four, the egg roll comes and another female staff (possible owner? Mom of the younger female server?) drops off the egg rolls with NO veggies and a side of PEANUT SAUCE! Peanut sauce? With egg rolls?? I asked her if she had lettuce for the egg rolls. She said "oh I can get that." Then I asked what about fish sauce (assuming this might be their own specialty to serve egg rolls with peanut sauce). She then said "I can get that too." No remorse, no apology but just a blank stare (Btw, I asked for plastic forks and bowls for my kids and she never brought those either.) Let's just say...if you're serving peanut sauce with egg rolls,...you've got bigger issues and that's a big red flag for me. Five, this "possible owner" female staff opens the entrance door wide open when it's cold and wet outside. I sat there wondering why in the world did she do that but another diner decided to close the door and save us before we all froze to death. Six, the food sucks. Idk WTH everyone is taking about on here but it sucks. How can you get chicken pho wrong? But they did. I still have a weird aftertaste in my mouth. My husband did not care for his pho and their portions are laughable. We both got a large to share with our kids and it was a joke. The only upside here is their egg rolls. Their egg rolls were good but...served with peanut sauce and no lettuce is a joke in itself. Lastly, remember when I mentioned they were taking to-go orders like crazy? Well there was one lady who was sitting at a table waiting for her order BEFORE we were seated. And guess what? She was still sitting at the table waiting for her order when we left. I made eye contact with her as I was leaving and told her "I'm sorry" to empathize with her. She smirked and shook her head in disbelief. My husband overheard the male staff telling her the chicken takes a while and that once she received the chicken, the staff realized they didn't put in her other order. This poor lady sat there for at least 40+ mins for her order. Oh and get this...while their customers were waiting for their food (either to dine-in or to-go), the two young female and male severs set their food on their table to eat. I get it, they have to eat too. But while their customers are waiting 30-45 mins to get their food!?! COME ON!!! My husband legit wanted to eat and get out of there as soon as possible. He couldn't handle watching the way they handled their business and treated their customers (he's the patient one). Diners would stroll in as were eating and my husband would said "I feel bad for these people coming in to eat, they have no idea what they're in for." I lived in LA for 10 years and have been in SD for 10. Both cities have awesome Vietnamese restaurants and I am all about authenticity. I will tell you...their food is NOT stellar, actually incredibly mediocre. But to make it WORSE, their service sucks. Their staff sucks, there is zero urgency and their customers do not come first. If anything, you are a nuisance to them. I will never go back. Complete waste of money and time. My husband and I have been in the food industry for decades and this restaurant is the definition of what TO DO if you want to fail. read more

You pick your size (regular or large) and you have the option of picking up to three different meats. They don't serve sandwiches at this location. Im giving them four stars because they are a little backed up on service here. It seems as if its just a wife and husband running the whole location. The pork was full of oil and so salty it was not edible. O explained to the manager and she apologize and said the pork was already seasoned but the chef didn't know and salted it again. We were looking for a popular place to get pho and found this gem on Yelp. After a less-than-stellar experience at another local place, we were looking forward to trying this one. Neither myself nor my husband had ever really had Vietnamese or Thai food, so we are pretty unfamiliar with both but wanted to try them. Anyway, we walked in and noticed the place was quite small and pretty packed for its size. We waited a few minutes as one of the employees cleaned off a table for us to sit at. We looked over the menu and I decided on ordering the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. A noodle dish with grilled pork and an egg roll. The menu doesnt list ingredients beyond the basics, so I ordered what sounded good. When the food arrived, it looked really good! Vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and an egg roll on top, a small pile of shredded carrots on one side of the bowl, and peanuts sprinkled over top. I removed the garbish, which I think was cilantro or parsley, since I don't enjoy eating either. I tasted the fish sauce that came with the dish, determined it was too fishy tasting for my liking, and instead stirred a bit of hoisen sauce into my food. While mixing it, I found greenery and bits of cucumber under the noodles! There was a lot more of the cilantro/parsley stuff, along with leaves of basil. I like herbal flavors, but don't like eating the whole leaves, so I set those aside. I noticed the meat inside the eggroll looked really pink, so I asked a man working there if it was supposed to be pink. He offered to bring me a new one, so I thanked him and continued eating. When the eggroll was brought to me, I think it was maybe the manager who brought it (not sure who she was) but she explained how they are cooked and said the pink IS fully cooked. I thanked her and said I was just worried it might not have been. She later returned to our table and proceeded to tell me I should have told her to leave the greens out of the dish so she wouldn't have to put it in there, and also mentioned the fish sauce goes with it. I explained it was my first time eating there and I didn't know what came in the dish when I ordered. Now I know, but I felt like I was almost being scolded and it really made me uncomfortable. The food was reasonably priced and very good. I am happy to go back, but I have learned now what comes in the Bun Thit Nuong bowls so I can order them differently next time. I look forward to trying their iced coffee, Thai tea, and spring rolls. Things to take away from this review: 1) They put Thai basil and cilantro in probably many of their dishes. They also put peanuts in things without mention of it on the menu, so be warned if you have an allergy. 2) The meat inside the egg rolls is supposed to be pink apparently, so do not be alarmed when you see it 3) This is a small place with delicious food! The pho was priced very fairly, esp for the taste and amount of noodles. I will say that I wish it had more meat in it, bc the rare steak shriveled up a lot when it cooked. However, the soup was so good, I just wanted to keep drinking that LOL. The spring rolls were kind of overpriced in my opinion. It was $6 for 3, and they were pretty skinny. I think I would have rather gotten another bowl of pho for that price, but it was a good sharing dish. I didn't have any Thai tea but my friend said it was the best Thai tea she's ever had!
