VN Dish is its name, pho & banh mi are its game. I feel sorry for shops in this strip mall at the corner of McKinley & Magnolia because it is nearly impossible to come here during the McKinley bridge construction/detour. The impact is obvious as we were the only party at this restaurant for lunch today. I was intrigued by bun bo hue, a dish from the central region of Vietnam that I don't see very often. The broth is tasty but it does not look like the picture on the menu. Specifically, the pork hock was missing. Oh well. Service here was decent. But it is a sizeable restaurant. I can't help but wonder whether that one guy at the counter can keep up when it is busy. I don't know how long the McKinley project will take. I sure hope they can survive the lean time and prosper again.

    Egg rolls

A MUST!! I have had VN Dish over 15 times and it is ALWAYS consistent. We get the #10 Flank Steak, #21 Bon Bo Hue, and the egg rolls every time. The food is always hot and tasty and our order is always packed neatly as well. The pho has lots of meat and the broth is steaming hot, the egg rolls are so crispy and delicious. Do yourself a favor and get an order of the egg rolls!!!! I recently have tried their grilled chicken Bahn Mi, and it was amazing! The grill taste on the chicken was perfect and the veggies are fresh and crisp with a nice crunch on the baguette. They are a family owned business and I always see the owners working hard. They are so friendly and welcoming and are so deserving of your service. Now with the annoying construction of the bridge complete, it is easy to enter that plaza. Give them a taste!

First time visiting this place and trying their food. We couldn't find this place right away bec of the new bridge and they're kinda tucked inside the plaza. But we're glad we found this gem. Their Pho is absolutely delicious. The soup itself is very tasty! The presentation of the food is nice and clean. The owner is the place is the one who welcome us and served us. He's very nice and friendly. The place is clean. We will definitely come back. I recommend this place.

This place was amazing. The spring rolls were delicious!! THAT PEANUT SAUCE. I got the flank pho and it was delicious. The broth was the perfect flavor broth. I always get hot tea when I go places and this hot tea was amazing. 9/10 definitely recommend

Very homey restaurant. Will have to come back during the day, very quiet and maybe got the remnants of broth during our visit. Pho and bun bo hue were okay.

Mood- lunch I did as most and quickly researched restaurants that were in the area. It was a typical lunch hour, so my first thought was goodness they are going to be packed. However I was lucky and that was not the case. Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered to sit wherever I chose. Menus were given and drink order was taken. Opted for the Thai Tea, Egg Rolls, garlic Noodle with filet Mignon, Wonton & Char Sui Soup. The highlight was the wontons. It was very plentiful and on point. Interior is a great size. There are several seating arrangements. Music was playing in the background. One thing that stood out to me. There are so many different options of things to order and specials everywhere. Signs were everywhere. Would recommend - pricing was reasonable. The customer service was very friendly and hospitable. My table was checked on continually. Location is Corona CA - McKinley/Magnolia- ample parking.

    2. Grilled Pork Sandwich

I am very impressed with the food and fast delivery. Everything was still hot when it arrived and the restaurant is a good 13-15 minutes from where I live. First of all, the way they packed the food was efficient. They really made sure nothing was smashed or spilled. Secondly, I've never eaten at the restaurant so I can't compare, but I feel they gave me everything I needed. Soy sauce packets, chili packets, utensils, napkins, and the veggie toppings for my shrimp and wonton soup! (Which was HOT upon arrival.) The soup broth was very flavorful and delicious and really hit the spot. We also ordered the combination fried rice (chicken, shrimp, & pork). All the meats were well cooked, tender & delicious. I'm very picky with meat and I can say there was not a questionable, chewy, gross bit whatsoever! That's impressive! Shrimp spring rolls and sauce were delicious as well as the grilled pork sandwich. All in all, 10/10 for me. The only thing I'd say needs improvement and it may not even be the restaurant's fault, I never received an order confirmation. Not a single notification. I was beginning to wonder if my order had even gone through. The app showed an estimated time of arrival but that was it. Luckily, my husband went out to get the mail and saw the food sitting on the table on our porch. Not sure how long it had been sitting there but it arrived way sooner than the estimated time of arrival. I imagine it wasn't sitting there long because like I mentioned previously, everything was still hot! So make sure you are on the lookout for your delivery!

This is a great restaurant! The food is fresh and filling. They will make orders per your request. I have ordered phở with rich broth and without noodles. The grilled pork and chicken salad is AMAZING. The iced Vietnamese coffee is delicious! I will come to this great neighborhood location. Good food, welcoming, and warm service!

It was my first time here, and it was so good. Despite not being near Garden Grove/OC, this is as good as it gets! Highly recommend the pho and the thai tea and the owner is very friendly and super helpful.

Our table ordered a variety of their vermicelli bowls (short rib, chicken, grilled pork+shrimp), Pho (special combo and brisket), eggrolls, thai iced tea, and vietnamese iced coffee. Everything we ordered was so delicious and there were generous portions of meat in all of our dishes. The fish sauce that came with the vermicelli bowls was super delicious and tasted so much more flavorful than any other Vietnamese restaurant I've dined at. The pho broth was piping hot and tasted so clean and refreshing. Drinks were also great and I honestly loved everything about today's lunch! I will definitely be coming back with my family and my kids loved all of the food (pho and vermicelli) too!

However, I recently read their reviews and laughed that they give straight peanut butter as a dipping sauce for their spring rolls. That is a big no-no. Anywho, I was going to do takeout and drive home to eat because I had my dogs with me, but after I ordered I saw there was a table outside so I decided to stay. I ordered their salmon special with garlic noodles, spring rolls, and a vietnamese coffee. Total was $33 and I was able to split the portions for lunch and dinner. When I entered I did not speak vietnamese and neither was the employee in the front aware I was viet. After I paid and didn't leave a tip, she said something in vietnamese about either giving me a smaller portion because I didn't leave a tip or just complaining about not receiving a tip. Once I got my food and said thank you in vietnamese, the employee in the front got real quiet. Lmao I sat outside with the fur babies and enjoyed my salmon. It was flavorful but noodles were kind of dry. The spring rolls came in 2. They add avocado, tofu, and jicima in addition to other ingredients. This isn't your traditional spring roll. I can also confirm that dipping sauce is straight peanut butter with not even enough water mixed in to make the texture smooth. Its like getting a cup of peanut butter that is watery on the top and dry and chunky from the middle down. A sauce like this will not be acceptable in the vietnamese community down in Bolsa. Haha! The coffee was also only okay, didn't finish it. I dont think I would drive out of my way to eat here.

If you have a large party I would probably call in advance because the space is limited and it was PACKED when I got there. Secondly, it tasted really good. I ordered the vegetarian rice noodles. My only regret is that I didn't tell them I wanted the big flat noodles, so they defaulted to the skinny spaghetti-like ones. Now I know that even if they don't ask, tell them what I'd prefer anyway. Lastly, the portions are big enough to bring leftovers home which is a big deal for me since eating out can be expensive. If I'm paying that much, being able to get a second meal out of it is much appreciated. Parking wasn't an issue. I immediately found one right in front of the restaurant. As for the restaurant itself, it's modern and clean. Beware that if you end up sitting facing the windows like I did, I was blinded by the sun shining off a car window, so I had to scoot all the way inside the booth. It's because the door is made of glass and unlike the other windows it doesn't have signs to block glare. When I was about to leave, I told them there was no more toilet paper in the restroom and they went out of their way to stop what they were doing to get more for me. Apparently, the cabinet inside the restroom was empty, so one of the employees had to call another employee for help and they found more in another cabinet outside the restroom. I quite enjoyed my experience here and just writing this I'm already craving more of the food I had ordered.
