Best pho in the tri...the lady who works the counter is super sweet and food had always been yummy. Don't expect amazing but it is good!

I'm from Vietnam so I'm used to eating Vietnamese food. The restaurant is clean. Minimalistic. With several asian decorations here and there. The food is awesome. I always order the grilled beef served with cucumber and various other veggies on a bed of rice noodles and served with fish sauce. The mango smoothie is awesome, I'll pay for it time and time again despite the fact that it costs 5 dollars. I've gone here several times and will continue returning. I can always go with a small group of friends and the total coming to 35-40 dollars. The reason that I'm not giving this place a perfect 5 is because of their lack of customer service. When the lady is serving me, she is nice and talkative. When the man is serving me, he isn't rude but he doesn't show any emotion. All he does is set the plate on my table, saying nothing, showing no emotion. Pretty rude but I still left a tip anyways. Extra props to this place for being one of the very few authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Also a tip, DO NOT order the eggrolls. They charge 7 dollars for 6 "eggrolls" the size of your pinkie fingers. Not worth it. read more

OKAY. Don't bother reading the other comments, you want a food review, you read this. As you all know, Pho is one of those delicacies that Mama makes (If you're part of the south-eastern culture-mainly Vietnamese) when you did something good. And as we all know, mama makes it best, that being said: HOT DAMN. My mama has competition. Pho Le is the only authentic Pho restaurant in the Tri-Cities. Sure, you'll find some other culture's food here, but this place mainly has Vietnamese cuisine. The Pho Ga (Chicken) is bomb. The meat falls off the bone, the noodle/broth ratio is on point, and the broth itself is very good to drink. There is no "cloth" taste to the broth, I don't know where other people got it from. The Pho Dat Beit (Pretty much everyhing together) is phenomenal. The meat is still cooking when it arrives at the table, the noodle/broth ratio was perfect, and before you even put the hoisen/sriracha sauce, TASTE THE SOUP. It's rare to have such flavor before you add the spices in, and once you do, it's an even bigger explosion of flavors. Customer service is awesome. I was greeted by and served by the owner. Coming from the homeland and only learnig so much english in so little time, her english is better than my parents, and her stories are even better. The day was rough. I was sad because the day was gloomy and it was my day off. Hungry and dejected I googled pho places. I stumbled across this place. Very good place to get Pho. It's a simple place to eat, not a huge restaurant, and not a lot of privacy. But it's a quick stop for a good bowl of hot Pho. The only place in town that I've had where the beef comes out rare and cooks in front of you. I know that is a normal way of doing it, but haven't seen it yet in town. Pho has been a staple for me for years, so I became quite particular about Pho. I often overlook "can-be-cleaner" restaurants in the name of good food. Unfortunately, the Pho is just not up to standards at this restaurant. I ordered the Beef and Meatball Pho but the broth was very mild and non-beefy (I later learned from another restaurant in the area that most restaurants in Kennewick use Chicken stock instead of beef due to the stronger smell of beef). Due to the fact that other reviews stated that they don't include mint or basil in their salad rolls, I asked if they could include them in my order, which they willingly did. However, the dipping sauce was mild and bland. While Pho Le, at first glance, looks very modern and clean, I found myself finger-picking hard remains of not one, but 3 spoons to find a clean one, and requesting for a new straw because the one provided was already opened, The chopsticks were also oily. Stopped by just for a bubble tea. Not very impressed. Restaurant was completely empty at 6pm. Tea cost $6.46 for a much smaller tea than the other place in town I've tried. Not many flavor choices either. The tea itself was okay but nothing extraordinary. Ordered the beef special Pho, the chicken combo Pho, and the Vermicelli pork with two drinks. Cost was $50!!!! And this was to-go. I am the type of person though, if it tastes good enough then it's worth it! Whelp, I guess this place went down hill because it is DEFINITELY NOT worth it. The Pho broth was weak, tasted and looked watered down except for the fish oil floating all through it. The meats and ingredients were virtually nonexistent, the beef special literally had a single meatball cut in half, and what meat was there, was so full of fat I had to spit out an inedible bite. The pho "dressings" (mint, noodles, lime ect.) were also hoarded. One small baggy was given. The people were extremely nice, and the to-go order was very prompt. Nice hole-in-the-wall type of place to eat. Food is delicious and staff was friendly. I believe it was the owner that recommended our pho noodle bowls( chicken & beef). The first time I came in here I had my son who was a new born and he was in his carrier, and the staff wanted him a certain way, so I was already annoyed and they were rude so I got up and left with my son and my bf I rather not eat here at all with people that are rude! So today we come in at 3 pm and not even 2 steps in the doors and 2 staff come up TO US AND tell us they don't have HOT WATER if we can wait 20 MINUTES FOR THE WATER TO BOIL FOR THE NOODLES ! Yeah, the Pho is very tasty and the only authentic example in the Tri Cities but why the 1 star? Simple. When paying hard earned money for food, consistency is paramount. If there is one thing consistent about this place it's the extreme lack of consistency and professionalism. Examples, one excuse after another regarding why items on the "menu" cannot be prepared. Also, it's really aggravating to drive across town to a restaurant and find it dark and locked when the hours posted and confirmed via phone are open all day. Even worse, walking in and being told, "sorry I have an appointment today, can't serve you". Really? REALLY? THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT DESERVE PATRONAGE! If a small business can't honor their own menu or hours of operation at least 66% of the time; then I refuse to give them anymore of my patience or money! read more

Seriously the best pho I've had. Travel from Idaho to Tricities on a monthly basis and I always make sure to stop here for lunch. The food never disappoints and the staff is always friendly. I have only spoken to the owners briefly but it sounds like they make everything fresh and the day of; because of that, they will usually close early once they run out. Service can be sketchy at times. The woman is very nice, but insists on telling you how YOU need to eat phó. Which, I find annoying being that I've been eating it for years. The broth is good. If you are a beef lover like me, be advised they do not art any tripe or tendon to their phó. Only lean rare beef & meatballs. I have witnessed them run out of phó while I was dining there. The lady owner there can be rude and greedy, and what I mean with that is that she serves your Pho Soup without limes or jalapeños peppers unless you ask for it. If you're new to Pho, this is your destination. The food is delicious, the portions large, and delivered very quickly. To top it off, the owner also served us an education, mixing up hoisin and sriracha to suit my son's tastes, and showing him how to dip the chicken from his soup in the sauce. The Special Pho had great flavor, very beefy and wonderful. The owner helped me with my grilled chicken and rice entrée, again instructing on which sauce to mix in. She does it in such a welcome way, very helpful and kind rather than the condescension you might encounter elsewhere. Also, the Vietnamese coffee is incredible. So far this is the best pho I've found in the Tri-Cities. First a foremost the broth was great. Had a slight citrus taste even before I put lime in and was nice rich and full if flavor. The noodle were good and properly done and the extra add ins were nice and fresh. I opted for the special beef pho the had three different styles of beef in it. Best Pho in town since Saigon Market closed. It's a little pricey, but it is a huge portion. My husband and I can share a bowl no problem. The vermicelli bowl is good too. Continuing my search for the best Pho restaurants...... This is a nice looking place and easy to find. The inside is clean and the people are wonderful. I ordered the Pho Ga. They put a lot of chicken in their bowls! The broth had an odd aroma.....Cloth.... Like the other guy's comment of dish towel. My guess it was the boiling bag that held the spices when the broth was made. Maybe it was a spice I'm not used to. Still it was odd. The noodles, meat veggies were great.
