Exceptional place to stop in for a hearty breakfast. Small indoor dining but plenty of outside seating. Only one waitress and she was efficient as she was nice and accommodating. Busy little diner, and appropriately so. The food and service were extraordinary. The staff seems to know everyone who comes in, they are helpful, kind, and treat each other respectfully. The service is quick, efficient, and administered with good humor. But the real star is the food. We had Chicken fried steak and eggs, and Corned beef hash and eggs, both were homemade, and absolutely delicious. The corned beef is made with huge chunks of actual real corned beef, onions, potatoes and herb. While the chicken fried steak was perfectly breaded, cooked, and the sausage gravy was delicious. Toast was served with home made jams, and that was a great touch. No need to eat breakfast anywhere else, this is your place. read more

We recently became aware of the Busy Bee and decided to go for breakfast one Saturday morning. We don't regret it. I have used the Original Pancake House as my default location when I want a good breakfast. I think I just found my 'new' default. The food is excellent. It's served in abundance and the service has always been prompt, polite and professional. Even the coffee is hot and flavorful. If you've never been you owe this to yourself. It's not a large restaurant but there is an enclosed eating space just outside the front door. Go,,go,,go....you will thank me later. :) read more

We were visiting Tri-Cities and went to this place two days in a row and sat outside both times. We took our dogs the 2nd time. Our waitress Lucy was the best! Friendly and welcoming, and the food was great! Corned beef hash, sausage burrito...all delicious. We went with smaller portions on first visit and they were perfect portions for a mere $9 (eggs, meat, potatoes). Highly recommend! read more

We dined in for breakfast today. We got supurb service from Leticia the waitress. She was very attentive and even gave us a military discount without us having to ask as she ended up asking us from my husbands military hat he wore. The food was amazing as well. I can see why they have won many awards in the short 2 years of them being open. This restaurant was cutely decorated in all things bee's. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters for the cold winter months. There isn't much seating inside so get there early. Prices are average for all other breakfast places in the Tri-Cities. read more

Such a cute place! Adorable bee decorations. It is a former drive in (like a sonic) converted to restaurant. Dining room not huge but holds more than you'd think. 4 tables for 4, and 2 counter tops 3 people each. Of course outside has 4 tables. First one inside at 9, by 10am was almost full. Staff is super nice, 5 star service. Good food. Perfectly cooked omlet, fluffy pancakes. Love the home made jams and sauces. None of that smuckers high fructose garbage. Stopped by for breakfast with my husband and was not disappointed. We were lucky enough to get a seat inside . It's small but very well maintained. The service was great and the food. We both had chicken fried steak, his a skillet and mine just regular. It was so good and the home style hash browns were amazing. Clean, great menu, staff was awesome and the food was cooked perfectly. I had the home fry Benedict that was served with 3 poached eggs cooked to my request and it had plenty of bacon. The hollandaise sauce had just a hint of lemon like it should have. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this small but very functional restaurant. You get your food quickly and it's hot when you get it. Me and my mom came here for the very first time today and we were very excited because we heard very good things about their food, but we're very disappointed when we hadn't even walked in yet and a lady told us She was closing up the porch area when we hadn't even asked her already Setting a bad tone. When me and my mom walked in, nobody greeted us or sat us down so we had to sit ourselves awkwardly at table. Looking back that should've been our sign to just leave, but Sally we didn't. As we were sitting down five more people walked in and they were greeted and asked how many tables they would need And since there was no more room in the main area, they said that they could sit in the porch area when the lady told us she was closing it. I believe it's worth mentioning that me and my mom are people of color. In the end food was good, but the service is gonna definitely keep us away read more

The best diner breakfast ever. The hash browns were perfect, crispy golden brown on the outside and creamy white inside. My scrambled eggs and hubby's cheesesteak omelette were excellent. The orange juice was fresh, and even the orange wedges on our plates were delicious. My husband said, "This chef knows what he's doing." Our friendly waitress/hostess was equally professional, keeping the crowded little cafe running smoothly. I hope the Busy Bee will be around for a long time to come. read more

Answered all our questions. The cook talked with us for a bit to apologize for not having what was ordered but my grandson ordered the chicken strips n he said they were amazing. This place is cute and quaint. We were a large group (7) and the place is small. There is an outside area that isn't available all the time bc of the cost to heat, which makes sense. We all loved our brunch and our server was so good to help us be comfortable. It was a great experience! Definitely will be back. The bee decor is darling too! read more

We also attempted to order nigiri, but were told the server needed to check with the chef. No one ever came back to follow up, and we were never given the opportunity to order sushi at all. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us, asked how the food was, or tried to correct anything. The only acknowledgment we received was a brief apology when they brought the check, mentioning we weren't able to try any fish--which was exactly what we had been waiting for. The overall experience felt inattentive and poorly managed, and the lack of follow-through made it especially frustrating. Based on this visit, we won't be returning.

I just wish I would've posted a review about her then. I hope she is still there cuz this place might have a chance to stay in business with her and the service she gives.

This Saturday (8/5/23), my wife and I had our first breakfast at The Busy Bee. I ordered The Worker Bee Breakfast and my wife ordered The Bumble Bee. I noticed that the sausage in the gravy on the my biscuits looked to be made by hand (ie: pieces pinched off and formed by hand, NOT factory made), so I asked the waitress about them. She confirmed that pretty much everything the restaurant serves is homemade from scratch. Everything about my meal was excellent! The portion sizing left enough for me to take a little home for later. The biscuits were perfect in texture and moisture, the gravy was the second best I've ever had (no one beats my granny's sausage gravy, sorry)... There's pretty much nothing I can think of that would have made this meal better except maybe a little more of the excellent hashbrowns on the plate. I love hashbrowns and could've used another couple of bites to satiate the craving I was having. My wife loved her breakfast as well - everything was properly portioned, textures and tastes were spot on and mixed well. All in all, we'll be back soon! Well feedback is always welcome, in A A M.'s review, it is factually incorrect. While the meals are served indeed with one piece of toast cut into two slices.If you request an additional side of toast it comes comes with two slices cut in half for $2. When considering the amount of labor, overhead cost, and cost of product involved, the company actually loses money on this transaction. $1.27 per piece of toast...so a side of toast costs us $2.54. All extra charges are clearly marked in the menu including the toast substitutions. The busy Bee is a newly opened family restaurant not a charity organization. If they gave away one free item to every person that requested it they would be out of business in no time and the workers would be out a job. We apologize that your experience with us left a bad "taste" in your mouth, and the 10% discount wasn't adequate, but we always work hard to " friendly, affordable, and to serve fantastic home cooking! read more

I've been to Busy Bee Diner about 3-4 times now, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, tastes like a home-cooked meal, and the portion sizes are generous without breaking the bank. The food can take around 20-30 minutes, but it's well worth the wait since everything comes out hot and fresh. My go-to is the single biscuits and gravy--it's only $7.50, fills me up every time, and is one of the best breakfast values around. This visit, my girlfriend had the double stack of pancakes, and they were huge, fluffy, and delicious. Great food, great prices, friendly service, and consistently good experiences every time we've visited. If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot in Kennewick, I highly recommend Busy Bee Diner. We'll definitely keep coming back! read more

I still cannot believe how expensive and overpriced this was, especially for a place that looks like a gas station. A plate of food with coffee and a very skimpy side of hash browns plus a 20% tip came out to over $30. I've been eating at diners from coast to coast and getting the same thing elsewhere for almost half the price. My wife recently ordered the "signature" Fish Tacos from 3 Eyed Fish, and to call this a "fish…read moretaco" is a massive stretch. In reality, it's a raw cabbage taco with a hint of fish essence--or perhaps a cabbage taco with a fish surprise, if you're lucky. After she gave up and ate just one, she brought the rest home. I actually measured the piece of fish inside: a staggering 1.5 inches by 1 inch. That was it. One single, tiny nugget per taco, buried at the very bottom of the shell. Because of this, you have to choke down several mouthfuls of completely raw cabbage before you finally reach your single bite of fish. To make matters worse, that one bite of fish was terrible. They apparently brine it in a way that leaves it aggressively, unpalatably salty. While the menu claims the taco comes with "slaw," it is just heaps of dry, raw cabbage. There was so much of it that you couldn't even see the three corn tortillas until you went digging through the vegetation. The sheer lack of seafood in a "signature" fish dish is appalling. Save your money--unless you really, really love overpriced plates of shredded cabbage.
