Service is incredibly slow. We have yet to get our food and have been here for an hour. We ordered pancakes, biscuits and gravy, a BLT, and a hamburger. Ive worked in restaurants before and understand being busy. But upon observation, over half of the customers have left and 2 more sat. They are serving mobile orders and we have yet to get our food, which should not take long to make and serve. The place itself is outdated. The bathroom mural does not match the vibe of the restaurant. You can see pray insulation all along the roof. Dissatisfied and disappointed. 2/10 read more

So good! Has that old small town feel and taste! They bring you little sampler jams that they make themselves! We had blueberry, strawberry and blackberry- all amazing!! they were super busy with a consistent flow of customers but we still got seated and served fairly quick for how busy they were. There's inside and patio seating, we sat inside. Stays true to their name "busy" read more

Exceptional place to stop in for a hearty breakfast. Small indoor dining but plenty of outside seating. Only one waitress and she was efficient as she was nice and accommodating. my recent experience at busy bee diner on a busy Saturday morning. Although all the tables were taken when we arrived, we were seated within 20 minutes, which was impressive. Busy little diner, and appropriately so. The food and service were extraordinary. The staff seems to know everyone who comes in, they are helpful, kind, and treat each other respectfully. The service is quick, efficient, and administered with good humor. But the real star is the food. We had Chicken fried steak and eggs, and Corned beef hash and eggs, both were homemade, and absolutely delicious. The corned beef is made with huge chunks of actual real corned beef, onions, potatoes and herb. While the chicken fried steak was perfectly breaded, cooked, and the sausage gravy was delicious. Toast was served with home made jams, and that was a great touch. No need to eat breakfast anywhere else, this is your place. read more

We recently became aware of the Busy Bee and decided to go for breakfast one Saturday morning. We don't regret it. I have used the Original Pancake House as my default location when I want a good breakfast. I think I just found my 'new' default. The food is excellent. It's served in abundance and the service has always been prompt, polite and professional. Even the coffee is hot and flavorful. If you've never been you owe this to yourself. It's not a large restaurant but there is an enclosed eating space just outside the front door. Go,,go,,go....you will thank me later. :) read more

Such a cute place! Adorable bee decorations. It is a former drive in (like a sonic) converted to restaurant. Dining room not huge but holds more than you'd think. 4 tables for 4, and 2 counter tops 3 people each. Of course outside has 4 tables. First one inside at 9, by 10am was almost full. Staff is super nice, 5 star service. Good food. Perfectly cooked omlet, fluffy pancakes. Love the home made jams and sauces. None of that smuckers high fructose garbage. Coffee was mediocre strength and flavor. Everything else was terrific. read more

We dined in for breakfast today. We got supurb service from Leticia the waitress. She was very attentive and even gave us a military discount without us having to ask as she ended up asking us from my husbands military hat he wore. The food was amazing as well. I can see why they have won many awards in the short 2 years of them being open. This restaurant was cutely decorated in all things bee's. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters for the cold winter months. There isn't much seating inside so get there early. Me and my mom came here for the very first time today and we were very excited because we heard very good things about their food, but we're very disappointed when we hadn't even walked in yet and a lady told us She was closing up the porch area when we hadn't even asked her already Setting a bad tone. When me and my mom walked in, nobody greeted us or sat us down so we had to sit ourselves awkwardly at table. Looking back that should've been our sign to just leave, but Sally we didn't. As we were sitting down five more people walked in and they were greeted and asked how many tables they would need And since there was no more room in the main area, they said that they could sit in the porch area when the lady told us she was closing it. I believe it's worth mentioning that me and my mom are people of color. In the end food was good, but the service is gonna definitely keep us away read more

The best diner breakfast ever. The hash browns were perfect, crispy golden brown on the outside and creamy white inside. My scrambled eggs and hubby's cheesesteak omelette were excellent. Yummy looks good. Thank you for your hard work. That was sarcasm.

Busy Bee Diner offers an exquisite combination of flavors through its must-try dishes, namely today's special, fish and chips with clam chowder and the regular menu item, Monte Cristo sandwich. Both selections are crafted with utmost precision, embracing a symphony of tastes that truly delighted my palate. The fish and chips with clam chowder are a gastronomic masterpiece. The fish is delicately coated in a golden batter that boasts a satisfying crunch with each bite. Accompanied by a generous portion of hand-cut French fries, they offer a blissful marriage of textures. The accompanying clam chowder is a velvety delight with creamy richness and a medley of flavors from the briny clams. It harmonizes seamlessly with the crisp fish and fries, creating a tantalizing combination of land and sea that transcends ordinary pub fare. Moving on to the Monte Cristo sandwich, it is a culinary marvel that elevates simplicity to perfection. The sandwich is a symphony of finely layered flavors and textures. The bread is toasted to a beautiful golden hue, providing a delightful exterior that gives way to a soft, pillowy interior. The layers of thinly sliced ham and turkey are generously accompanied by a luscious blend of melted Swiss cheese. Together, these ingredients create a melt-in-your-mouth experience with each bite. This sandwich exemplifies culinary artistry, showcasing the diner's dedication to quality and attention to detail. Furthermore, the Busy Bee Diner also caters to families with their affordably priced kids menu. This thoughtful addition ensures that a delightful dining experience is accessible to everyone. Families can indulge in the restaurant's delectable offerings without straining their budget, allowing parents to please their little ones' taste buds without compromising on quality. It is a testament to the diner's commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all. In conclusion, Busy Bee Diner has undoubtedly earned my high praise for its tantalizing fish and chips with clam chowder and the perfect Monte Cristo sandwich. From the super crisp French fries to the harmonious medley of flavors in each dish, every bite is a testament to the diner's culinary prowess. With a kid-friendly menu that doesn't break the bank, Busy Bee Diner is a true gem for both adventurous food enthusiasts and families seeking an affordable yet exceptional dining experience. read more

This Saturday (8/5/23), my wife and I had our first breakfast at The Busy Bee. I ordered The Worker Bee Breakfast and my wife ordered The Bumble Bee. I noticed that the sausage in the gravy on the my biscuits looked to be made by hand (ie: pieces pinched off and formed by hand, NOT factory made), so I asked the waitress about them. She confirmed that pretty much everything the restaurant serves is homemade from scratch. Everything about my meal was excellent! The portion sizing left enough for me to take a little home for later. The biscuits were perfect in texture and moisture, the gravy was the second best I've ever had (no one beats my granny's sausage gravy, sorry)... There's pretty much nothing I can think of that would have made this meal better except maybe a little more of the excellent hashbrowns on the plate. I love hashbrowns and could've used another couple of bites to satiate the craving I was having. My wife loved her breakfast as well - everything was properly portioned, textures and tastes were spot on and mixed well. All in all, we'll be back soon! I could easily see myself eating here weekly for a while! read more

Well feedback is always welcome, in A A M.'s review, it is factually incorrect. While the meals are served indeed with one piece of toast cut into two slices. If you request an additional side of toast it comes comes with two slices cut in half for $2. When considering the amount of labor, overhead cost, and cost of product involved, the company actually loses money on this transaction. $1.27 per piece of toast...so a side of toast costs us $2.54. All extra charges are clearly marked in the menu including the toast substitutions. The busy Bee is a newly opened family restaurant not a charity organization. If they gave away one free item to every person that requested it they would be out of business in no time and the workers would be out a job. We apologize that your experience with us left a bad "taste" in your mouth, and the 10% discount wasn't adequate, but we always work hard to " friendly, affordable, and to serve fantastic home cooking! read more

I've been to Busy Bee Diner about 3-4 times now, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, tastes like a home-cooked meal, and the portion sizes are generous without breaking the bank. The food can take around 20-30 minutes, but it's well worth the wait since everything comes out hot and fresh. My go-to is the single biscuits and gravy--it's only $7.50, fills me up every time, and is one of the best breakfast values around. This visit, my girlfriend had the double stack of pancakes, and they were huge, fluffy, and delicious. Great food, great prices, friendly service, and consistently good experiences every time we've visited. If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot in Kennewick, I highly recommend Busy Bee Diner. We'll definitely keep coming back! read more

I still cannot believe how expensive and overpriced this was, especially for a place that looks like a gas station. A plate of food with coffee and a very skimpy side of hash browns plus a 20% tip came out to over $30. I've been eating at diners from coast to coast and getting the same thing elsewhere for almost half the price. Food and service were both pretty good but holy crap do I feel taken to the cleaners after paying that insane bill. read more

Such a satisfying breakfast! My husband got the green chili burrito (umm wow, unexpectedly good) and I had the Benedict. It was actually perfect. Like just enough home style cooking, and every part was delicious. Everything was hot, fresh, my eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise sauce was creamy and yummy and perfect. 10/10 service was very kind and sweet, love everything about this place! read more

This cafe could clone itself in other parts of Tri-Cities and do well.

My wife recently ordered the "signature" Fish Tacos from 3 Eyed Fish, and to call this a "fish…read moretaco" is a massive stretch. In reality, it's a raw cabbage taco with a hint of fish essence--or perhaps a cabbage taco with a fish surprise, if you're lucky. After she gave up and ate just one, she brought the rest home. I actually measured the piece of fish inside: a staggering 1.5 inches by 1 inch. That was it. One single, tiny nugget per taco, buried at the very bottom of the shell. Because of this, you have to choke down several mouthfuls of completely raw cabbage before you finally reach your single bite of fish. To make matters worse, that one bite of fish was terrible. They apparently brine it in a way that leaves it aggressively, unpalatably salty. While the menu claims the taco comes with "slaw," it is just heaps of dry, raw cabbage. There was so much of it that you couldn't even see the three corn tortillas until you went digging through the vegetation. The sheer lack of seafood in a "signature" fish dish is appalling. Save your money--unless you really, really love overpriced plates of shredded cabbage.
