The food was EXCELLENT! Compliments to the chef. I had the best authentic Indian food and my kids had the Mexican food. It was delicious. You would never guess it pulling in to a truck stop. This kind of food should be down town on Main Street. Unfortunately the waitress was MIA most of the time. She was nice but where was she?? What they lack in service though, they make up in food. And maybe during other times of day there is more attentive wait staff? The restaurant was very clean. I would have given it a 5 star if the service was good. read more

King City; It was underestimated. The place seems to be a American dine that's under new management. It's a few Indian items on the menu to help you explore into something new. This was just what we were looking for after a work/travel day down to the Tri-Cities. A nice trucker diner, serving typical comfort food with a smile. And on a Friday, we'll always be looking for Clam Chowder. Their's was fine, and a perfect compliment to my Turkey Club. No complaints from the crew with their meals, with everyone getting pretty much what they always do. I was driving up the 395 on my way to Spokane and spotted a restaurant with a bunch of big rigs around noon, and decided I'd grab a quick bite to eat. I know its nothing fancy, but one thing I've been taught in life is that you will get great home cooked meals, large portions and friendly service at any place that frequents truckers and KING CITY did not disappoint! I ordered the lunch special of soup and sandwich. I think it was like $7! Such the deal. The turkey sandwich was yummy and the chicken noodle soup was out of this world! Just like mom made but better! :) I flagged down a guy in a black shirt who worked there, I think he said his name was January(???), he is what really made me want to sit down and write this review. He was extremely friendly, gave me some travel tips for my drive to Spokane and I then I had asked him to compliment the chef on the soup, and he said, "You're welcome", with this infectious laugh that made my heart smile. He then proceeded to inform me he was the one who made it! What a great asset to the restaurant! He was busy and went on his way, but his smile and my full belly made me smile the rest of my day. I bet a lot of regulars frequent this place. But if you are passing by like I was, do yourself a favor, stop in and support this small local business' instead of the quick corporate chain options, and grab yourself a great home cooked meal for just about the same price. :) read more

We stopped in here last night for dinner... After reading the reviews we really wasn't to sure what to expect but it was close and we were tired The service was great. Seated quick drink orders etc... Our server was very friendly as well Place is somewhat outdated but it was clean We checked out both men and women restrooms both were clean Food was great. Cooked perfect and large portions Not expensive either They also have a small lounge as well This is one of the last few mom an pop truck stops where you can get good home cooked meals affordable I would have given it 5 stars except some of the booths and chairs had rips that they fixed with duct tape... Sorry guys... the waitress is the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. She was nice and deserves better. I would love to leave a great review but I can't. This was very disappointing. I was told about this place by another driver, he said they have the best ribeye steak. I didn't try it because it was breakfast time and I wanted a nice breakfast. I was told everyone likes the king omelette and the country fried steak. I went with the country fried steak. I regret going. The country fried steak was not good. They put waaaay too much gravy. So much they put it underneath and on top. I was scraping it off but it was too late. The steak was soaked. I had ordered over medium eggs, they were under cooked. That's fine... waitress offered to cook them some more. I said sure! They come out and they had the raw whites showing! Come on! Fine... everyone I ask does it, even Denny's and IHOP... They offered toast or a single pancake. I chose the pancake. Mistake!!! Have you ever made a pancake and put too little water? It tastes bad... well this one was like that, PLUS it was under cooked. Ugh... The home fry potatoes looked okay... and that's all they were... okay. Nuf said. All in all it was a pity 2 star. Wait... no. They don't deserve this star. 1 lone star... sorry. read more

Food was basic. You could tell everything was frozen and not freshly prepared. I gave three stars because it wasn't trash, it was decent.

I really wanted to like this place since reading the other reviews but it fell short of my expectations. :( Maybe I ordered the wrong dinner choice. I asked if the chicken fried steak was good. I should of asked if they served anything that wasn't previously frozen. Everything I had came out of their freezer and was never "home made". Old timey cafes aren't what the use to be. read more

Good place to park the truck for the night and grab a good bite to eat. Good selection of items to choose from and nice friendly service.

FAIL FAIL. Some new owners took over this truck stop restaurant. Took an hour to get an omelette, they also got the order wrong and tried charging for it. But what's to expect of waitresses that chase customers out of the dining area and into the bar at 6:30 in the evening! Someone needs to tell them it's a truck stop. Food used to be awesome but pretty awful now. Won't be back. read more

Obviously they dont get my kind in here much. I had a 10 ounce New York steak medium well with mash potatoes carrots and coleslaw. I chewed on my first bite of the steak until the top of the fifth inning of the Mariners game. The carrots seem like they were previously frozen and heated up in the mashed potatoes or bland and tasted like the added water needed the service was horrible I don't you understand business if I couldn't give any stars I wouldn't read more

My wife and I have been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed in our service or food! Tonight My wife ordered the lasagna and I ordered the ribeye steak...amazing as usual! Sheree was our server tonight, had a great sense of humor and provided excellent service. Average truck stop restaurant. Stopped by around 8 PM for a late dinner on way home. Ordered a French Dip with salad. Salad came out quickly was good but nothing special, bagged lettuce and bottle dressing. French Dip sandwich was served on a soft sandwich roll with some thin sliced roast beast and au jus. Again nothing special, roll was small and meat was scarce. Service was okay, because there were very few customers. It has lot's of parking for rigs or RV's which is a plus. I was a pulling a small trailer so in and out was easy. There's A Burger King nearby, next time I will go there. read more

I have rarely been to a worse restaurant. I ordered a pork chop dinner. One of my sides was supposed to be a loaded baked potato. The menu said that the pork chop would have mushrooms and onions on it, and the meal would include a dinner roll. I was not asked how I wanted my pork chop cooked. No dinner roll. Baked potato did not even come with butter or sour cream. Pork chop didn't include onions or mushrooms. I asked waitress about the onions and mushrooms, she said she checked menu and it doesn't come with onions or mushrooms. I grabbed a menu later and showed her. Cook doesn't prepare food properly, waitress don't give a crap. I do not recommend this place. read more

Food was mediocre at best; coffee was Luke warm; bathrooms filthy; whole place was fly-infested and our waitress was completely cranky!! I thoroughly enjoyed this establishment! The portions were large, ingredients fresh, staff friendly, and prices reasonable. It was certainly what one would consider a hole in the wall; we just stumbled across it after parking the truck. I implore anyone to try out the King Cheeseburger with bacon or the extra large chicken fried steak! You won't be disappointed with whatever you choose. I wish I didn't even have to give any stars for this restaurant. How this restaurant has good reviews I am not positive. When you first walk in there's no air condition and very unfriendly service. I expect and friendly service being on the western side of the country, but this was kind of ridiculous. I ordered nachos and I ordered a breakfast plate and my boyfriend Ordered a Reuben with fries. When everything came out the nachos came with all of the food. For nachos were supposed to be an appetizer but they were brought out with the food. Because they were brought up with the food they sat under the light or they were microwaved until the other food was ready so the nachos were very nasty the cheese was barely melted and what was melted was hard. The meet had no flavor and neither did the beans whatever else was on the nachos I wouldn't be able to know because I couldn't even taste it. My French toast was nasty no cinnamon barely any sugar was made with Sara Lee honey bread instead of normal bread and had no flavor. To be honest the only thing I can eat without getting sick with my eggs and my bacon. My boyfriends fries had a bed of taste and his Ruben was not made with corn beef it tasted like it was made with roast beef tried asking the very rude waitress the only waitress Who is there besides two cooks that reeked of weed, what the sandwich was made out of she did not know. Abominable. Horrible. Inedible. Worse than that was that the waitress saw that I didn't eat hardly any of my food and she never even asked me how it was or if there was a problem.
