I am from a Laotian family and this is not authentic Laotian food. The beef pho has barely any beef in it. Very disappointing

We always enjoy eating from here. We usually get it to go. My favorite is the pho and my husband enjoys the pad Thai. Lately I have switched to the lettuce wraps. They are so delicious! And I like how I can decide noodles or eat the wraps without. read more

I'm a touring musician, and so I use Yelp a lot to find out of the way places that are delicious and inexpensive. This was a nice find and successful on both accounts. It was crowded with a big takeout turnover so I knew it had potential when I walked in. Excellent spring rolls, excellent pad Thai. No complaints whatsoever. I can't say enough good things about this place! The food is consistently delicious and the service is amazing...always. We've had lettuce wraps, egg rolls for appetizers. The pad Thai is so good that it's ruined pad Thai I would get anywhere else. The pho is also fantastic, my husband loves it spicy so he gets the chili oil too. The relief and yellow curry are also fantastic. I get mine with no spice and the flavors are very rich. The rest of my family love spice and this place always delivers. If you're going in Saturday...go early. They are often sold out by 1pm and with good reason! read more

I've been going here for yearsss. I've sampled a lot of pho around the Tri Cities, including Lotus Market just down the sidewalk. For me, Lao Kitchen is by far the best. The broth is delicious with or without condiments - Try it without before you dress it up! it is PIPING hot, never a heat problem here. Their pad thai and curry is also excellent but I usually come for pho. Usually she already knows I want a kids bowl LOL, I sometimes just can't finish a big bowl! They do close a little early for my clock, sometimes I struggle to get off work fast enough to make it down there, but that's ok! read more

It seems like I missed out by not ordering the pho, because that seems to be what everyone raves about. Instead, in an effort to be "healthier," I ordered the garlic chicken. It was far from healthier because it was drenched in a lot of sauce. I wish it had been clearer from the menu, because I would have chosen another dish. I also hardly got any garlic flavor, and instead got a lot more of fish sauce and pepper flakes. It overall was not the type of flavor that mixes well with chicken, and though they gave a lot of chicken, I ended up taking most of it home. It wasn't appetizing enough to finish at another time. Had the veggie tofu pho - was SO good. And they gave me soooooo many noodles, I actually got two meals of soup and then still have some leftover noodles to use. I have eaten pho in Seattle international district and Ballard a couple times, and I thought this was very comparable. Super reasonable pricing too. Yum.
