Chicken vermicelli

Nice little spot. I went here for the first time, actually got it to go, chicken vermicelli, and it was really good. Good amount of it too, now I'm so full.

Okay first the service is excellent. Super friendly. Answered my questions and gave husband a little soup broth to eat...he got rice with shrimp & pork. The meat is SUPER flavorful. Seriously I could just get a big bowl of the pork and I'd be in hog heaven. I had the pork wonton soup with noodles (1/2 & 1/2). The pork broth is a family recipe. It is absolutely divine! Flavorful but subtle & delish! I can't imagine ordering anything g else, I loved it that much. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty. The pork is my favorite. I'll get it every time! So basically, we have now found our favorite Vietnamese soup restaurant. The restaurant is super clean, the staff are all helpful, friendly & happy. The food...superb. Everything was super fresh and flavorful....especially the pork. Seriously can you tell I loved it!!!

Had high hopes for this place but the food was not that good. Don't get the coconut juice. It tasted weird and I could barely drink it. I ordered the chicken rice plate for my kids and the chicken was bland and dry. Not like the grilled chicken you get at normal viet restaurants. The color and taste was different. I ordered the chicken pho for myself and it was average. Broth was pretty bland as well.

Relatively new pho place for me in the Richmond area, well one of the few that you can count on your fingers on one hand. Though they have been opened for some time already. Menu is just on one side and very standard Vietnamese food though it doesn't taste like standard pho. A bit pricey but worth for the very clean and fresh pho taste. The restaurant is super spacious and clean. The waiter is also very nice and attentive. I'll be back again if I am in the area.

The best pork banh mi I've ever had! The best in our area for sure! So hot and crispy and delicious!! The food here is delicious. The service was great seems to be family owned. If so, they are the kindest people and will definitely keep coming back!

This place Pho is awesome! Went there today had the best most friendly service. Had the vermicelli, shrimp pho, shrimp spring rolls and egg rolls everything was great! It's tucked away in a small shopping center on fm 359. Great food and great service!! Can't wait to come back

Great spring rolls! Friendly and quick service. The area was missing this cuisine, and this is a great addition to the area.

I don't get the reviews…read more Elderly vietnamese lady didnt speak any English so it was hard to communicate with her (my viet is super limited too). Came in for some vietnamese sandwiches ($5.50). I even told her "Hai Thit Nuong. Hai Combo" which means 2 pork banh mis and 2 combos. I even pointed at the menu and said Hai and Hai with 2 fingers held up. I only got 1 of each. That turned out to be a good thing bc they were just okay. My boyfriend's pork banh mi was not the typical thit nuong. Looked more like a pan or stir fried meat like shaking beef. Not grilled. My combo was not the typical lunch meat. It had cubes of pork (I assume) and chicken. There were some fatty pieces. The flavor was acceptable at least - marinated asian style. Not what I was expecting though. I also like the butter/lard that's typical of a banh mi, but it didn't taste the same (maybe more mayo-like). Very mom and pop shop. I am skeptical of the cleanliness honestly. She also had to take my credit card next door to the haircut place to run it. I'll be checking my account for any extra charges to be safe. Nice lady, but i won't be returning.

Many say that Pho Ben is the top pho spot. I've asked Vietnamese hairdressers, and they recommend…read morePho Ben. While I personally don't think it's the best pho in Houston, it definitely ranks highly. What I like even more are their banh mi sandwiches. They have some of the best banh mis, and they definitely use good quality bread unlike many other places.

Pho Ben has become a popular Sugar Land staple for Vietnamese food, however I believe their quality…read morehas declined in recent years. While they seat and serve even large parties (I've visited with up to 12 people on a regular basis) with impressive speed, the quality of their food simply is not what it used to be. On this most recent visit I ordered a Pork Bahn Mi. The pork had absolute zero char, which I believe is integral to the sweet and savory char-grilled flavor promised in the menu description. As a result, the meat tasted as if it were stewed in an overcrowded pan leading to a rubbery texture. At a previous visit my baguette was also soaked and soggy, as if the pickled vegetables hadn't been drained before being added to the sandwich, then left to sit before service. I used to regularly order their pho, but have moved away from doing so as it tastes very average. On one hand their broth is consistent and does the job, especially if you are in a rush, but on the other hand is has no notable characteristics to speak of. Its aromatic blend doesn't particularly stand out and the broth doesn't have the deep flavor I would expect from Southern-style pho. The staff is always helpful and accommodating to the large parties I visit with. They always look busy, though not in a way that bothers me, and it's easy to see why when you consider the rapid speed that they serve food and clear tables. Overall, Pho Ben does the job for a quick bite of Vietnamese food. Even with larger parties, I've never had to wait longer than ~15 minutes for a table, and once seated, food typically arrives in ~10 minutes. However, due to its declining quality, it has fallen off my list of go-to spots in Sugar Land.
