Dark chicken pho
Adilene P.

Tried the chicken pho for the first time after feeling sick the other day, and it really hit the spot. The broth had a lot of flavor, tasted fresh, and I honestly felt better the next day. Make sure to ask for the red chili crisp since they do not automatically bring it out, but it adds a lot. Around $12 or $13, which is cheaper than most places. Portions are not huge, but solid quality for the price.

We stopped by for a late breakfast/early lunch on a cold front day and ordered a couple of bowls of pho. As usual, service was very fast, someone greeted us right away, seated us quickly, and took our order almost immediately, as if we were regulars. Luckily, we already knew what we wanted. The two bowls of hot pho came out promptly. These days, the vegetable plate seems a bit light on bean sprouts, and I'm not sure if requesting extra is an option. There was, however, plenty of basil and cilantro, which I asked them to leave out due to an allergy. I still noticed slight traces of cilantro in my bowl and removed them, but it's something worth noting for those with allergies. Overall, the pho was hot and satisfying. The broth wasn't especially rich, but it was flavorful enough and consistent with what you'd expect for the Sugar Land area. There's plenty of parking available, and they also offer a loyalty program, which is a nice bonus.

Got the shaking beef and pho and spring rolls. Everything is solid. The restaurant is large and looks clean and hip. Service was good and not intrusive. The shaking beef was interesting because it tasted more like stir fry rather than the usual sauce I'm used to and it looked like it all went to the bottom. Would like it more saucier. The pho and spring rolls were solid.

this is one of those places i've been going to for years, basically grew up eating here, so it feels impossible to count how many times i've been. it's almost always busy, but the service is efficient and the food comes out super fast in big portions. i get their pho every single time; lots of meat and plenty of veggies. recently the broth has been on the lighter side though, so ive had to add more sriracha and hoisin to elevate it. i also love their lemongrass pork, chicken, or beef with rice, so fragrant and nicely grilled every time. the shrimp spring rolls are fresh and the peanut sauce is solid. the banh mi has a generous amount of meat and soft bread, though it's a bit bland. for dessert, the chè isn't too sweet, and the coconut is light and refreshing, which i really appreciate. their loyaltyprogram went from $10 for every $100 spent to $125, but with the economy nowadays its understandable. my main concern is that the quality seems to be declining bit by bit over the years, particularly in the richness of the broth. overall, it's a reliable, comforting spot i keep coming back to with great portions, quick service, and warm, familiar food.

Pho was fresh, light, delicious. Meat was tender. Not much else to say here, simple but good!

Went to Pho Ben on a lunch break. Love the indoor decor. Service was crazy fast. Got seated and food probably came out in less than 5 minutes. Ordered eggrolls (2pc) and small pho tai. Eggrolls were crispy and delicious; fish sauce was good. The bowl of pho was also solid. I'll definitely be back!

01.24.26 Rotisserie chicken, pretty good.

This review is overdue, though we did share our feedback on the restaurant's website. It was busy when we dined late Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away, but the experience declined a bit afterward. We had to flag down our server to place our order for the grilled chicken spring rolls, bun bo hue, rotisserie chicken, and the dac biet banh mi. The spring rolls, bun bo hue, and chicken were all good, though we did have to ask for another utensil. The sandwich, however, wasn't toasted and didn't include pate, which was the main reason we ordered it. No one checked in on us during the meal, and we weren't sure how to close our tab until we watched the table next to us. When we finally paid, the cashier asked if we had a reward but didn't explain what it was or whether we could sign up. The website doesn't clarify it either

Pho Ben is still a main staple of Sugar Land for pho. While it's not the best broth, it is consistent and gets the job done. When I'm not in the mood for pho, their banh mi sandwiches are delicious. Unfortunately they have changed the rewards program to give you a $10 credit when you spend $125 (previously $100). This place is always popping so if you want to avoid waiting I would arrive before 6.

Kate Y.

The place is clean and lively, and the service is warm and friendly. Came with a group of 6 people, and didn't have to wait long. Food came out quickly. I got my usual - grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli bowl. The portion was large, and it was super flavorful. I chose the Yukou Matcha as my beverage - what a delightful drink! It's got this citrusy jelly and candied rind at the bottom. Would love to come again.

Dac biet
Alex W.

Does everything well. Big portion size and lots of meat for the dac biet. Goes great with sriracha and hoisin sauce. I've never seen a pho place use this many red onions, but it works and adds a unique twist to the dish. Definitely will come back again soon!

Trying their broth

Today I tried their beef lemon grass banh mi. I do give credit to the very generous amount of beef lemongrass served on the sandwich. The sweet sauced beef was soft and by adding sriracha chili sauce gave it some ooomph. I did not see or taste pate, daikon or anything pickled. The bread crust was softer than expected. Service was fine prior to receiving my sandwich and departing. Ambiance is open with plenty of booth or chair seating- good for big groups! My rating: banh mi 4 and their pho is 5.

Been here several times now. Solid place for Vietnamese food in the area I love that they give you plenty of protein and the food Decor and ambiance is great My only ding is the food comes out on the lukewarm side

I arrived in Houston, Texas the day after Christmas 2025 and it was nice. It was nearly lunch time…read moreafter my friend and her husband picked me up from the Hobby airport. We decided to have Vietnamese food and proceeded to a popular spot in Houston's Chinatown. I learned that this area we were at was more Asiatown than Chinatown. With that said, we arrived here at Juste Pho Vietnamese restaurant around 11:00am and it was already busy. We got there at the right time, since more people showed up after us and we were blessed to not to be waiting around for availability. My party of 3 spent about an hour or so here and I opted for the extra large bowl of Pho, which was around $14. Not too badly priced for an X Large bowl. My companions decided to get large bowls instead. To my surprise, I finished the XL bowl of Pho without much effort. I guess I was hungry after traveling from Honolulu the night before. The menu was strictly Pho, which was interesting. Just Pho and a listing of drinks and other miscellaneous items. Must be popular because everyone loves Pho. The prices were pretty decent and reasonable, especially when you get into the XL bowls of Pho. I noticed that there was a "Super" bowl as well. I imagine that people rarely eat from that one. Maybe they do an eating challenge with the Super Bowl and it's not much advertised. The service here was good and friendly, while being fast and professional. The restaurant itself was pretty large for a typical Vietnamese restaurant but it can accommodate a lot of people at any given time. I'd say about 75- 90 people at once. That's quite a squeeze too. The overall experience at Juste Pho Vietnamese restaurant was very pleasant and an introduction to the taste of Pho in Houston, Texas. The popularity of Pho in Houston does give such advantage in where to go for lunch or dinner or have Pho as a snack. The restaurant itself was clean and felt comfortable here just to hang out with friends while enjoying a delicious meal. For the most part though, it was a nice quick lunch as well as healthy, compared to other places around town. Pho and Vietnamese cuisine is a guilty pleasure that I don't mind having over and over. I enjoyed myself and you will likely too. After the meal, I offered to pay for the table since my friends picked me up from the airport that morning. I walked up to the counter and told them the table number. Once the transaction was completed, we left the restaurant and onward to seize the rest of the day. Definitely was a good time here at Juste Pho Vietnamese restaurant the day after Christmas 2025. If you are in the Houston area and craving Pho, consider coming to Juste Pho Vietnamese restaurant. You'll be glad you did. Satisfied and happy with your experience and decision. I know I did. Juste lPho Vietnamese restaurant is located at 16200 Kensington Drive in Houston's Asiatown district. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, they have a shared parking lot with a few other merchants. Best bet would be to come early enough to secure your preferred parking spot. If you are like me, public transportation is good. Consider the routes you need to get here from your original location and go from there. If it helps, you can go online and seek information from the city of Houston's public transportation system. Renting a car is a good option as well. And of course, having Uber and Lyft is a good idea as well, if you don't have any other choice in transportation options. And with that, the Pho is good here. The broth is rather above average to me with its rich flavors. The noodles are good and does complete the dish. And so, I'd recommend the XL bowl if you have a hearty appetite. Come hungry and leave full and satisfied, if you are in the Houston area and want something different than your typical fast food fare. 4.5 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B

When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

I believe the crawfish is seasonal, so go during crawfish season because this pho was delicious. The crawfish were so tender and the pho was so flavorful. The beef dish was also so good to eat and balanced. The fried beef balanced so well with the fresh salad and rice. I will say that when we went the parking lot was a little deserted at night. I would definitely lock your doors and take all your valuables. But that's all or Houston, so just stay safe!

The grilled meats, fresh herbs, perfectly cooked rice noodles all made up perfect bite after perfect bite. The portion is quite large and filling, so I definitely feel like this is a very good option if you're looking for Vietnamese but not just your typical pho and banh mi options. The pho was solid too, but the only complaint I will make about the pho is that the portion of meat was way too small, contrary to the bun cha. We ordered a build your own bowl, and it came with maybe 1 piece of each of the meats we selected. The broth itself was pretty good and perhaps one of the better pho soups in the area. Service is decent but I have yet to visit while it is busy. Wow this is def lower than majority of the places I usually go to. It's very hard to find banh mi for $5.25 now since most places are around $6+ now let alone $10.95 for pho (large). Also a bonus that they have a lunch combo for $13 which includes appetizer, entree, drink! Second the food. I ordered the lunch combo for $13. Got the egg roll and the pho (choose 4 meats) and an ice tea. The egg roll was decent and the pho was good but I prefer for it to have a little bit more stronger flavor. Nonetheless it wasn't bad. My boyfriend got the bun bo hue and he said it's decent, not very salty so he had to add some shrimp paste to his liking. I think the only comment he had was that he didn't like that they didn't give pork feet and just gave a slice of pork instead. TLDR: How's food? Decent. Price? Good value. Would I come back? Yes.
