And let's be honest there is a lot of food in the SugarLand area but not a lot of great food, matched with a beautiful venue and exceptional service. We ordered the honey tea, papaya salad, V Lotus Pho, steak pho, children's chicken pho, and creme brûlée which were all delicious! The menu had a wide variety of dishes which all looked great, albeit it was a bit on the pricier side. Service was great and the manager came by to say hi to us as well. They turned on the lights to the aquarium for my son which was a nice touch. All in all this seemed like a higher end Asian fusion restaurant, with great food and service. V Lotus is a more upscale Vietnamese restaurant tucked away in Riverstone. The interior is beautifully decorated with peaceful music playing to set you at ease. Throughout my meal, the waiters were extremely kind, professional, and accommodating. My table ordered fried rice with brisket, veggie pho, and ribs. I was skeptical about the veggie pho, but was delighted after trying the broth. It was extremely flavorful and needed no extra seasoning or hoisin sauce. The fried rice and ribs were good, but did not live up to its price in my opinion. They gave us complimentary creme brûlée spoons after our meal which were super yummy! I would recommend V Lotus for those looking for a Vietnamese restaurant with excellent presentation, service, and environment. I want to preface that this review is more based on location and quality than value. I'm Vietnamese and grew up eating lots of Vietnamese food so I've been accustomed to certain tastes and prices. First off, the food here is solid! I really enjoyed the shaking beef here. It's full of flavor and the beef is super tender. Now my only complaint, the price. It is quite high for Vietnamese food, but with all things considered, in the middle of a higher end neighborhood the price is justified. That has always been my statement. I'll be willing to pay for as long as the product is still good. Can't pay overpriced and it be bad. The place is nicely decorated. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. Manggo salad is delicious, presentation is very colorful and appealing. Vlotus One of the poshest looking Vietnamese restaurants I have been to in Houston, obviously priced also similarly, its worth the visit. We stumbled upon this place while looking for Pha in Sugarland and this popped up as the closest one. The look outside was neat , but its the inside that takes the cake- its just so warm, inviting and beautiful. They have a huge Vietnamese wall art that very subtly and artistically highlights a person under a lamp wearing the traditional straw hat, which, they sell on the premises for about $10 each. These hats are hung onto a staircase and I learned that its only decorative, the stairs don't lead to anywhere useful. They have a huge fish tank which you cannot miss, with diy sort of center pieces and menus with backlight, its a soothing feeling - get a wine , relax and just enjoy your meal. They do carry vegan enough options so thats good. We got the Pha and spring rolls, both tasted great and the presentation was awesome. If you don't order desert, they give you complimentary creame brûlée, thats sweet. The staff is very friendly and accommodative. Will be back. read more

This is our second time here. Even though we don't live in the area and Asia Town is actually closer, we came out here for the great food and nice setting. We were driving to Missouri City for a birthday party and wanted to grab a bite to each before the party. I found V Lotus by Yelping the best restaurants in the area! Restaurant was very modern, presentation was fantastic and the interior was so clean. Service was attentive and quick. We ordered the V Lotus Spring rolls and boy were these amazing! Everything was the perfect ratio inside the spring roll.. loved that it didn't contain a bunch of fillers and were very fresh! I honestly thought this place looked Americanized and less traditional due to aesthetics and the ingredient combination in the v lotus spring rolls but boy did they prove me wrong! It's not the traditional spring roll but everything worked well together and made a very good roll. We also ordered the tofu curry - more like a Thai coconut curry than a Vietnamese curry but amazing flavors. Tofu was tender, a bit soggy cause they soaked up the curry but I didn't mind. The lemongrass tofu vermicelli had the same tofu but they were grilled, with a bit of smokiness. The lemongrass sauce was saucy - I was expecting more of a dry lemongrass but it made a good tofu. The vermicelli soaked it up so I didn't think the dish needed the sauce, which also wasn't the traditional fish sauce. The desserts were equally as delicious, not traditional Vietnamese at all. You have a bay leaf panna cotta and a Thai mango sticky rice that was yummy and was a great end to an already delicious meal. I wish the sticky rice wasn't so dense and thick but the coconut sauce was yum! My friend liked it so much she said she would drive back to Missouri City just to come here! read more

Plenty of parking and has been packed everytime we've went. This is a nicer Vietnamese place for dine-in, you have more of an ambiance (which also means it is a bit pricier than your typical Viet places. They have some fancy light up menus during dinner time, and service has been attentive. Pho broth is solid- I like the fact that they come to your table to pour the broth into the bowl right in front of you so it's still hot. Vermicelli bowl was ok. We tried the mango sticky rice and it was made really well and was good. What I always look forward to at the end of the meal is a complimentary spoon of cream brûlée, it's yummy - (a favorite dessert of mine!). Food hits the mark every time & Ive eaten here dozens of times since they opened. This is my go to for great pho but the curry, spring rolls, shaken beef are always excellent.
