I don't eat cold food, so I left them on the table untouched. I asked the gentleman serving me if I could please bring me some basil. Instead of bringing it himself, he spoke to the woman who had taken my order. She came back and asked what I needed. I said, "Some basil, please." She responded, "More?" At that point, I didn't respond. I simply thought to myself, You never gave me any in the first place. She then brought the basil to my table, but there was a fairly large bug on one of the basil sprigs. When my pho arrived, the noodles were overcooked and mushy, making the soup unpleasant to eat. From the moment I walked in, I did not feel welcomed. The overall service was disappointing, and the food quality was poor. When it was time to pay, I chose not to leave a tip. I usually tip generously when I receive good service, but I cannot reward poor service and substandard food. I left feeling that I was treated differently, and that was upsetting.
