We ordered bitter melon beef, house special chives stir-fry, and Singapore rice noodles. The food was delicious and not too salty. Portions were generous. Service was great! The owner lady offered us some complimentary lemon iced tea and it was pretty good! Good place for eating with the family.

The food is served family style and is so good! I really like the walnut shrimp, black bean clam and soft egg tofu (basically everything we got). Me and my family go often and they are really good with feedback as well. We thought that the salt and pepper fish was a bit salty before and they remembered the next time that we went to put a little It's a good family restaurant and for pretty reasonable prices and large portions. Recently it's been getting more popular so make sure you plan ahead if you are coming with a large party. The owner is so nice and accommodating and quick with the service.

Overall my family and I enjoyed this place! Very homey, authentic Chinese dishes that pleased the palettes of my parents! My personal favorite was the beef flat rice noodle dish. Super delicious and great charred noodle flavor. They sell specific dishes from where my dad is from, specifically the oyster pancake which was good! We also got sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork ribs, honey walnut shrimp and all of them were good overall! They also were attentive with our water cups being filled so service was overall quick and attentive.

First, I want to start off by saying the food at Bun's House is excellent. My family and I are frequent customers here. On our most recent, we ordered the shrimp rolls, sweet and sour pork ribs, sizzling egg tofu, and a seafood tofu pot. The food, as always, was excellent. Unfortunately, we came on a Friday night and it was obvious that they were pretty seriously short-staffed. While I empathize with it being a family-owned business, the entire restaurant was packed and the two people working the front (a waitress and the owners' son) were clearly overburdened by the amount of tables, takeout orders, etc. all happening simultaneously. It took a very long time for us to get someone to take our order as both people working were preoccupied with trying to turn tables and seat people waiting and helping customers pay their tab. This wait also applied to waiting for our food, which took more than 30 minutes for the first dish to arrive, and an additional 20 minutes for the last dish to arrive. The owners are very nice and are clearly doing their best, but this, unfortunately, has a negative impact on the customer experience. The restaurant itself is a nice, simple, family-owned place. It's well-maintained and very clean. However, the HVAC has maintenance issues. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm on our most recent visit, despite the AC being on full-blast. My husband was overheated to the point where he was dripping with sweat by the end of our meal. It was actually cooler outside than inside by the time we finished eating, and it was still a good 82 degrees outside when we left. Suffice it to stay, I still love Bun's House and will still be going back, but I really hope that they can improve their customer experience. As of today, I cannot, in good faith, recommend new customers go there without tempering their expectations.

We ordered on door dash. Spicy slice beef (5/5) Beef noodles (3/5) - taste better when I added the spicy beef slices to it Pork fried bun (4/5) Soup dumplings (3/5) - not enough soups and the flour is too thick Dan Dan noodles (4/5) Meat pancake (4/5) Chili oil dumplings (4/5) Over all, good food and reasonable price. I will definitely order here again!

It is located in the same strip shopping center as my family's favorite Chinese restaurant, Jade Garden. My Mom and I decided to check it out for lunch. We ordered fish fillet congee at $8.98. from the main menu and three dishes from the lunch menu. The lunch menu dishes were eggplant in garlic sauce, beef bitter melon, and fish fillet in basil sauce. Each dish was priced at $8.95. Each dish was smaller and cost a dollar more than Jade Garden. The meal tasted fine, but it was too heavy handed with the MSG for my liking. Table service was slow with only one person working in the front of the house. The cook had to come out to help with water refill and busing. My Mom wanted to return to try some other dishes, but not me. I am sticking with Jade Garden for my Chinese food craving.

Great place in Sugarland to get a fix of your favorite authentic Chinese dishes. Small family owned restaurant serving the best bitter melon beef and more with a smile. It gets busy on weekends so be patient and come hungry.

My love for Asian food is endless! Love me some noodles and can't seem to get enough of them. Was looking for a place nearby that served noodles and more. Stopped by with the family on a Sunday afternoon and found the place completely empty. We asked the waitress for recommendations to pair with the dishes we wanted. Had the steam dumplings paired with a sauce that was super delicious complimenting the dumplings. . My husband had a taste of soup ordered the hot and sour served in a huge bowl. The soup itself after having one small serving is enough. Once you had hot & sour soup anywhere, pretty much the same here. The general Tso's was good like any other Chinese place, it's also served with white rice. The Tossed Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Beef was recommended by our served as a protein option. The noodles very cooked to perfection and meat seasoned very well. It's a good place to enjoy Chinese food at an affordable price.

I go here very often. All the food is really good and service is impeccable. Best dish by far is their hong siu tofu, way better than egg tofu. Its just the nature of the dishes though. Atmosphere is also very homey, which I thoroughly enjoy.

We ordered two of the sweet & sour ribs. Always goes so well with rice. The shrimp were exceptional - big, pump, tender and full of flavor! The only issue was the amount of oil used, even after we asked for less oil. I guess they need lots of oil to make Sichuan dishes. Our son came home after a big Cantonese dinner in Chinatown and tried the shrimp, then the other dishes. He couldn't stop from having a little second meal! Said the dishes were really good. Very heavy handed with salt even though the person in my party that placed the order specifically told the waitress to tone down on the salt. We also asked for no MSG but they turned to sugar instead so the dishes were a little altered beyond recognition. Specifically, I ordered their Szechuan peppercorn beef. As far as I know, this dish is always all savory and there should not be any sweetness. But, when I took the first bite, it was mildly sweet. Weird! Looks like for the rest of the dishes that has sauce, they used the same dark colored sauce; so, they tasted the same. Not a lot of imagination and creativity in their cooking. SERVICE: They are quite attentive in this area. So, I would give them 4 out of 5 stars in this area. VERDICT: Would I return? Probably not. When it comes to Chinese foods, the dishes need to be superior in their taste. You really need to have skills to survive as a Chinese restaurant.

The lamb was tender and the broth flavorful. I saved half of the soup for dinner and chowed down on the pork bun. It was hot and toasty from the bun being grilled. Even on weekdays, this place is consistently busy. The staff are always very friendly, the food tastes fresh and made to order, and I have never had an unpleasant dining experience here. Whenever I come here, I usually order the Cheese Crab Puffs. While this is a fairly standard appetizer at many restaurants, I genuinely think Dumpling World does them better than most places I have tried. The wrapper is lighter and airier while still staying crispy, and the filling leans slightly sweet, which I personally really enjoy. Of course, I also have to order the Pork Xiao Long Bao. The wrappers are impressively thin, and each dumpling is packed with soup. Another must order is the Pan Fried Pork and Scallion Thumb Buns. They are addictively crispy on the outside and filled with juicy, flavorful pork. On this visit, I also tried the Eggplant and Minced Pork Noodles for the first time, and I would definitely order them again. The pork and eggplant were very flavorful, and the hand pulled noodles were thin and satisfying, though slightly overcooked. The sauce was also a bit oily, but that is fairly common with dishes like this, so it did not bother me much. It is just something to keep in mind. Overall, Dumpling World continues to be one of my favorite casual Chinese spots. There is a generous amount of soup in there with amazing flavor and unlike many other XLB, it doesn't taste mushy and the broth is very clear. I would come back and just order a bunch of this! We also ordered the beef noodle soup which was just ok to me, the beef had a lot of fatty pieces and less meat and the soul could've haf more flavor. We also ordered the stir-fried green beans with minced pork which was also just ok; the beans were a little on the hard side and we felt that it needed to be cooked longer. For dessert, we saw their specials menu at the counter had chocolate hazelnut dumplings, so we ordered them at the end so it was fresh and hot. It came with 6 dumplings with nutella filling. They were delicious but the amount of nutella definitely starts to hit you after awhile and you have a big mouthful of nutella (not complaining though). These were best when they first brought it out, so definitely wait to order these until the end. Will definitely be coming back for their xiao long bao!!

Whether it was weekend dim sum or an evening Canto feast with fresh seafood, I was simply thankful for the option. Now that option is toast since Regal closed last month. Looks can be deceiving. The exterior makes me think of a fitness joint more so than a Cantonese spot. Stepping inside is a complete contrast, with a mix of specialty murals, modern decor with a contemporary edge. There were plenty of large group tables, which made this place perfectly ideal for a feast gathering. Bathrooms were also clean, but this is the only place I've seen that had ice cubes all the urinals. (#1) Dim Sum was solid. The highlights for me were their stir fried XO rice rolls, which had a nice char and some good flavor. The Malay style rolls were also suprrisingly good and I felt strongly about their bbq pork puffs, durian rolls, and glutinous pork dumplings shaped to look like pears. The shrimp dumplings, beef balls, and spare ribs were average at best, I was also very impressed with their overall variety and the fact they had an extremely defined picture menu. The Canto speaking staff was friendly and the parking was plentiful. While the food wasn't all a hit, I do think there was some potential, which was not realized in the end. I am sincerely hoping another Canto spot will emerge in the Land of Sugar. __________ (#1) Yes, really.

Not sure if it's the same owner as the previous Regal on 59. But it's a smaller footprint than the previous location. Dress code here is casual. 4. Food - I will say that the dim sum here is legit Hong Kong style dim sum. This is delicious and not greasy. I really like their CHA-SIU-BAO (BBQ Pork Buns), HA-GAO (shrimp dumplings), SIU-MEI (Pork and Shrimp dumplings), and Egg Tarts. Because it was our first time there, we wanted to try out their roast duck. It is also very authentically made. That combination is harder to find than you'd think, and they execute both perfectly. The food is consistently excellent. The chicken fried rice deserves special mention--when you order it, be prepared for a massive portion. It comes piled high on the plate in a huge, rounded mound, and it's very good. You absolutely get your money's worth here. As for the ambiance, it's much more no-frills than the Galleria location.
