The shrimp spring rolls were delicious! They were fresh and I love the way they do the lettuce. Their veggie pho is one of my top favorite ones! So fresh and doesn't smell like chlorine like most pho places. They are fairly priced as well. The only reason they get a 4 star is because the service is pretty slow. But I will definitely go back! read more

I was happy with the service and the food, until I found this cooked into my shrimp. At first I thought it was part of the poop vein, so I wiped it on a napkin. But then the shape of it caught my eye and I immediately tossed out my food. $75 in the trash. read more

If you're looking for a soft and tender stew beef, expect inconsistency from this place. Prepare for disappointment. The beef stew was so tough that I couldn't bite down on it. I tried to ask a male server to change the meat for me. Perhaps the ones in my bowl were a batch that were not ready yet. But he refused so and started to have an attitude by saying 'that's all we have'. His personality changed from friendly to rude. He wasn't even listening to what I tried to explain. He didn't offer to take it back and see if the kitchen would have any tender pieces ...After 5 minutes of talking to him, he said 'so what do you want'. out loud! I was embarrassed, I gave up and told him to take it off my check. I'm not going back. If you don't know how to take care of your customers then I can go somewhere else. Came here on Halloween with my boyfriend, the place is cutely decked out for the holiday. We both ordered bbh and also a side of a big bone. Food was very good, very flavorful and the big bone came so tender. We were so full afterwards that we went home with leftovers. Service was attentive and friendly. The food did not live up to authentic or basic Vietnamese standards, but based off the demographics eating there, it doesn't have to be authentic. The service was poor. if the restaurant is more than half full, you're better off ordering to go or going another day. We got seated right away because there were still 3 open tables. It took over 20 minutes to get a menu and then another 35 minutes for someone to get our order even though I flagged down a staff three times and they just kept saying "wait". If your use to authentic and good tasting Vietnamese food because your grew up outside the IE...don't go here. read more

My brother and I wanted some Vietnamese food after I picked him up from Ontario airport. This was close to the airport which I haven't been to yet. So we weee open to trying what this place has to offer. My brother wanted the bone marrow soup, and a rice plate, his wife ordered Bon Bo hue, I ordered a vermicelli beef with egg rolls. We ordered a couple of coffees. We also ordered a few sandwiches to-go for my mom. The place looks nice and clean, it was pretty quiet, not much noises which we like. The coffee was not that great it was not creamy nor much sweet, and no sugar on the table to add, too. I just didn't want to bother the server since I was having a deep conversation with my siblings. Definitely lacking condensed milk. The services were great, it was fast and the servers were nice and friendly. My brother rice plate was great and delicious. My sis bon Bo hue was edible, but she said could use some more spices or bon Bo hue's spices, not enough flavor. But the bone marrow was so big, we didn't know how to handle that. LOL! We barely touched it, so we took it home for my dog. My vermicelli was ok. The sauce was a bit on the salty side, the cucumbers could be slices smaller and the chunks were too big and not enough. But overall not to shabby since we are in the IE. I will have to go there, again, and try their pho. read more

Per my 8 year olds insistence, please enjoy this post- he gives it a 5/5 and the kindergartener, who needed her photo taken gave it a two million. Best Vietnamese we've had in a long time and today Thai iced teas and lemonades were free! Will absolutely be back. Portions were generous and nothing was more than $13.99. The restaurant was clean, music wasn't too loud and service was great- our server was patient and really knew the menu well! read more

Hello yelpers! Let me say this is my 3rd time here, I'm a creature of habit and I need to hit a spot a few times before leaving a review. This pho spot is located in a nice store center, the parking is plentiful. The restaurant boast a nice spacious seating, booth and tables available. Menu - It's pretty straight forward pho spot with menu similar to many others, but it does have some noticeable difference. Build your own pho is pretty awesome for those who want just what you like, I think there's only a small percentage of pho spots that offer this. I normally get pho but today I tried the stir fry and let me say this place just hits a home run with the taste and quantity of food. Probably a the most delicious I've had in the San Bernardino area. Price is Far! They are also currently at the time of my service a additional 15% off and free drinks Overall, this little hole in the wall pho is a a big must and great little family restaurant to support. Not their fault, but not appetizing. 2. Apparently this place opened 16 years ago, and it's starting to show on the interior furniture. I know fixing things up would likely raise prices, but I saw a couple kinda dressed up on a date -- and the place could be a little more dressed up itself. 3. The shrimp in my bowl arrived on a thin stick skewer. To have a shrimp you must pick up the stick by the tips and pull one off. Well that shrimp apparently came right off the grill because it burnt my fingertip. It was like picking up a wooden match seconds after it's been used. That said -- this place was bustling on a Friday night, nearly full -- which means they're doing most things right.

Later, I tried to ask Felix for boxes and bags, but he walked away before I could even finish asking. His attitude came across as rude and dismissive, which was really disappointing, especially since I'm a regular customer. I still enjoy coming here because my experiences have almost always been great, but I hope management addresses the customer service on days when their usual staff isn't there.

This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the other customer was clearly still being served for dine-in. I went to the register to place and pay for my order, and I asked her why the same rule didn't apply to the man behind us. She said he was dining in. That didn't make sense, considering we arrived first. The situation turned into her arguing with me claiming she didn't see us earlier and even disputing who brought us water. On top of everything, I was left feeling severely embarrassed in front of other customers, especially with my child there to witness it. No parent should have to experience that kind of treatment while simply trying to have a meal. By 9 PM, the man who came after us was already being served his food while we were denied the same service. This experience felt not only disrespectful but also discriminatory. It's disappointing because I've tried to support this place multiple times, but the consistent poor treatment and lack of professionalism make it impossible to return. I won't be coming back.

They also prepaid for drinks from the bar so folks could order from a bartender. The establishment presents a clean modern atmosphere that welcomes customers instead of the typical cramped chaotic atmosphere found in some pho restaurants. I chose the filet mignon pho which delivered an exceptional dining experience. The broth presented itself as comforting while remaining free from excessive saltiness and it revealed distinct star anise and clove flavors and the meat remained tender. The dish achieved perfect harmony between its components since it avoided both excessive oiliness and blandness. The grilled pork chop rice plate emerged as one of the most impressive dishes. The dish included two pork chops which received excellent marinade treatment and reached perfect doneness while maintaining their moisture and texture alongside a fried egg and fluffy rice. Glad that the IE has Sizzlin' Place as one of their sizzling plate heavy hitters. Aside from the sizzling plates, they have other menu items including fried appetizers, soup and dried noodles, and sides like fries and takoyaki, but if you're going to a sizzling plate place, you gotta get a sizzling plate, you know? That's decorum. Service is welcoming and friendly, and efficient in the safest way possible with the scorching hot plates. Seating can get limited due to the nature of the meal, but I've never had an issues the times I chose to eat here. Ambiance can be relaxed and chill when the Haven City Market isn't busy, but during weekends or rush hour, it can get a bit hectic and there may be a bit of a wait. A staple that you can never go wrong with is the hot plate beef and if you're a carnivore or if you're sharing, you have to upsize and upgrade it. The slices of beef here are just slightly thicker than what I'm used to at Pepper Lunch, but that just means it'll shrink less and get less stuck on the hot plate as well. You get a hearty serving of rice with some corn on top, pepper, and green onions. They are running their walk-up register through a DoorDash POS system and forcing in-person customers to pay inflated app-delivery prices without warning. They need to put a tag on the register letting people know. If they were transparent, I could have placed a pickup order through my own DoorDash account to use a discount, or just ordered their $6.25 mini bowls separately to save nearly $9. Don't get me wrong, the Taiwanese sausage is actually good, but the popcorn chicken is way too dry and the rice is not good at all. To make matters worse, I paid $21 just to get half an egg! Most places give you a whole egg, and other restaurants would even provide a free drink with a combo at this price point. Getting a half-egg and no drink for a premium price is ridiculous. When I picked up my order, she quickly took the buzzer from my hand and handed me my takeout immediately turning away. It felt a bit abrupt but to be fair, everyone has off days. It also wasn't particularly busy at the time, which is why it stood out to me. Overall, the food keeps me coming back and I haven't had any other negative interactions so far.

We were greeted (dryly), seated, and left to figure out the confusing ordering sheet. Thankfully we have experience with HotPot and (sort of) figured it out and even after we expressed concern about how we were suppose to order/write down our meat selections per round (which they claim is unlimited but they only have 3 columns on the sheet) our questions remained unanswered. Trying to flag a waiter down to order more meat was a pain as hardly any were available and we were missing appetizers on our "second" but with the way the service was we figured there wasn't any point in bringing it up not to mention the lack of (flat) soda refills. I doubt we will be returning.

While they do have Beef Noodle Soup, the rest of the menu is a bit of a random selection of Asian food items. They have everything from ramen, hibachi, and sushi to lo mein and dim sum. I got the Vegetable Lo Mein, and it came with napa cabbage, mushroom, carrot, and green onion. The taste was not bad for mall food. It's a pretty good value considering how much noodles they pack into a plastic container! It came out piping hot, so I knew it was freshly made. Rather than being a part of the food court, Yong Kang Street has it's own store front just a short walk away. It's set up almost like a mini fast casual restaurant, where after you order your food, you can sit and eat at one of the many tables they have available for customers. Since it's away from the regular food court, it feels a lot less chaotic.

I just wish the bowl came with a couple more pieces of tempura since you get a generous portion of rice, and I just wish they had actual tempura sauce. Overall, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are filling. The staff was also incredibly friendly, which made for an even better experience. We'll definitely be back, and next time I can't wait to try one of their boba drinks! Just a note - they only do can sodas and water bottles. No fountain drinks.
