I've given this place multiple chances because I've eaten here several times before, but tonight was honestly unacceptable. The same waitress we've dealt with in the past continues to be extremely rude. She has gotten our order wrong before and tends to argue instead of resolving issues. There also seems to be a communication barrier, which wouldn't be a problem if there was at least some effort to be patient or respectful but there isn't. Tonight really crossed the line. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, which is still reasonable time to dine in. The waitress made direct eye contact with me when we walked in, yet never greeted us or acknowledged us. A man came in after us and was immediately welcomed and told to take a seat. Meanwhile, my son and I stood there waiting with no direction. Eventually, I had to ask where we could sit. The man at the register mentioned they close at 9 PM and asked if we wanted to dine in or do takeout. Since we still had time, we chose to eat there. We sat down and again, nothing. The waitress walked past us multiple times, even bringing condiments and service to the man who came in after us, completely ignoring us. At around 8:45 PM, she finally approached us. As I began placing my order, she cut me off to ask "for here or takeout," then suddenly changed it to "actually, you can only do takeout." This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the other customer was clearly still being served for dine-in. I went to the register to place and pay for my order, and I asked her why the same rule didn't apply to the man behind us. She said he was dining in. That didn't make sense, considering we arrived first. The situation turned into her arguing with me claiming she didn't see us earlier and even disputing who brought us water. On top of everything, I was left feeling severely embarrassed in front of other customers, especially with my child there to witness it. No parent should have to experience that kind of treatment while simply trying to have a meal. By 9 PM, the man who came after us was already being served his food while we were denied the same service. This experience felt not only disrespectful but also discriminatory. It's disappointing because I've tried to support this place multiple times, but the consistent poor treatment and lack of professionalism make it impossible to return. Hello everyone it's the light skin dragon with my daughter light skin dragonrita! This is our second time coming to this location. I found it a few months back and took my whole family here which included what was my Carmel kisses and my daughter. I picked this spot because of this cat robot that my daughter loved The pho was so good. I got my usual seafood and the what was Mrs Carmel got the shrimp pho and we get an extra bowl and just give our daughter some of both. Save on a bowl lol The service is quick and the food is good. The ambience is okay they can add more stuff but nothing to spectacular besides the robot. My daughter was scared at first then I motivated and encouraged her which she pulled the courage to take a picture with it. lol being a father has its moments but I enjoy it. I got out of class and so I surprised my daughter and picked her up to have daddy daughter date before my cars engine blown out on me. I'm happy to have token her here because I know I created this special memory which she will always remember! The shaken beef was really tender and juicy. Not overly seasoned nor marinated. Now the pho is a hit or miss. My beef broth wasn't flavored as I'm used to. The chicken broth my niece ordered was better. Shocked me because i do not like chicken. They add a lot of noodles and beef. They do not skimp on that. The brisket was very fatty. More fat than meat. The steak was good. Very lean. Shrimp spring rolls were your average rolls. Not overly stuffed nor skimpy. I wasnt a fan of their peanut sauce. Tasted more like soy sauce than peanuts. As a San Jose native filled with Vietnamese restaurants in every corner... and as an OC alumni... it is mid. I got the bun bo hue Probably not what they're known for but Just straight up spice. Diluted in flavor. Skimped out on meat. Pork hock got hair, 2-4 slices of meat. Meat tasted like it was cooked separately from the BBH seasoning. Ruined my appetite to finish it. I also got 2 pcs egg rolls, good but nothing so special, was skinny. Chicken wings were okay. What threw me off is that I signed the receipt, didn't tip because I was dissatisfied and disappointed.. I turned my back on the worker but she called me right away, asking and specifically pointing on the section to tip. I said sorry no I don't want to, but she tried to ask again. It was just a weird awkward moment that made me uncomfortable so I just put 0 and left immediately. As you enter the suspiciously empty parking lot, you scan the horizon and see a large cluster of cars parked in front of a rundown looking restaurant. This is Pho Island. We ordered the Pho Special and the Beef Stew. Both dishes were so delicious that we never got around to sampling each other's bowl... good... too good. We were happy because our 2 year old also ate up and wouldn't stop shoveling noodles and half empty spoons of broth into his mouth lol. We ordered take out from this place for our whole office and everyone loved their food. I ordered the oxtail pho and it was very tasty. It really hit the spot on a cold day. My friend and I were looking for places to eat when I stumbled upon this place and I had really been craving pho so we decided to try it out. We got to the restaurant around 6:30 pm and left at I believe 7:30 or 8 pm. We were sat immediately which was amazing they also got our order fairly quick; the food came out almost immediately after that but as the night continued I felt like they were rushing me out the door, I had to ask for a refill of my water and for a to go container, although I had you have to get up and ask one of the employees. When I was asking the employee she kept telling me to pay for my bill even though I wasn't finished with my meal. Furthermore, I was the only table being treated that way, every other table they got their refills and anything else they needed without asking. read more

This pho place is BOMB. It's my favorite pho place to go to when I'm in Chino. I usually get their rare steak pho. I've gotten their egg rolls and spring rolls before which are all good. I've been to plenty of pho restaurants before, so I kind of expected the usual hit-or-miss customer service, but this was by far the worst I've ever experienced. We were seated and waited for about 15 minutes with no acknowledgment, while the server took orders from tables that came in after us. We had to steal menus from empty tables because no one handed us any. We had to flag someone down just to place our order, which felt incredibly unprofessional. Honestly, we were on the verge of walking out. No amount of good food can make up for this level of service. We had to get menus from empty tables and saw other customers doing the same. Disclaimer, the food was great. I ordered the Ox Tail Pho and it was fantastic, however this review is based on the service and experience. The server seemed to be on attack mode when I stepped inside the door, but didn't attack the Asian man who came in at the same time I did. We both came in at 8:30pm. They closed at 9pm. Mind you there were people still inside so I asked if I could still eat, and the server gave me the most annoyed look and gave me such an attitude about how I needed to hurry up, but not to that Asian man who was welcomed and who he let eat in peace. It was comical. Another associate saw how he was talking to me and she asked "Do you guys know each other?" I said he didn't, to which point she said "Oh I thought you guys knew each other by how he was talking to you, I'm new here so I didn't know." Wow so the horrible service even took her aback! So I called the guy back over to order a side of eggrolls, he obliged but took the menu and tossed it to the side and sighed heavily under his breath. The lady who took my order was rather rude and after getting my order I asked if she can give me the receipt. I assumed that she would put it in my order but she didn't, then when I asked for it, she seemed to get upset and told me that I "should have asked for it before" again and again and again. As if it was my fault for not getting it. Like how is it my fault!? The cashier always gives the receipt to the customer!! Yet, I get admonished for asking for the receipt she should've given me? Broth had a subtle flavor of spices , balance nicely not to o salty . Sadly for an oxtail broth I expected it to have a more savory taste. Hubby and I liked the BBQ pork spring rolls , soft rice paper. we appreciated the extra sauce too. I like to dunk my rolls right into the bowls . You had hubby eyes wide open when he saw lemon grass chicken . Here it's served with lettuce, herbs and rice stick noodles salad. Having served this dish on a plate was harder for hubby to grasp. He's used to eating this type of noodle salad in a big bowl. Other than that he liked his dish Service here is mediocre, like any other typical pho restaurant/ Asian restaurants . Been going here for years, but haven't been in a few months Service has gone down, sadly. My daughter and I decided to do lunch here on Black Friday thinking it was going to be busy, it was surprisingly not busy at all. We ordered our usual, Charbroiled beef Pho for me and Chicken Pho for her, 2 baguettes and a Diet coke. Food is always good but when your order arrives, 1 baguette is missing, I figure ok we will wait until the server comes to check on us...well never came, I had to go to front and ask for our other baguette. Sipping away on my diet coke, again thinking the server will check on us (mind you there were only 3 parties in the restaurant, total 7 guests) I again had to go to the front and ask for a refill of my soda.
