First the waitress was remarkably sweet! She was attentive and polite and got us whatever we needed I appreciate her. I absolutely loved my pho I always dress it up my way and I like it spicy. I ate all mine and it was delicious!!! The place is not too big but quaint and their lemonade was fresh and made to order I like it

Decent place to get Vietnamese food in the Asian town area. The food was OK, not too bad, but nothing spectacular.

I used to love this place. My family would come here all the time because they had great service and never skimped out on the food. But I think they changed management or have new employees. Not sure but it's just not the same anymore. I posted my receipt because on the menu they advertise that kids noodles with no meat is free. And it's been like that in the past always and they always honored it without me telling them. But since the change in management or what not they don't honor it but they still advertise it. I have no problem paying it but don't advertise it like that anymore. I came last time and they only honored it for one. But I still had to tell them and I'm not trynna remind you on what's on your menu. The food is good but you can tell they are skimping on the meat toppings with the pho. Since all the changes we haven't gone here in a while but I figured I give it a try again today. I don't think we will be visiting as frequently as we used to anymore.

My boyfriend was craving pho while I was craving Bun Bo Hue. My usual go to spot is closed on Wednesdays so we stumbled upon this place and was not disappointed! Houston doesn't have many good BBH places so Pho K has made it to my top 3 places for BBH now! The owner confirmed the sate and gio (pork patty) are made in house. One of the best sate I've ever tried. The broth of the BBH is so clean and flavorful with the right amount of spice! I tried the broth for the pho and it is also very flavorful! The ingredients are very fresh and presentation is inviting. We're definitely coming back to try their bánh cuốn plates.

It's a little bit hidden, but well worth seeking out. Fresh, delicious Bun rice noodle dish, with perfectly crisp eggrolls. The music is a bit loud for the space, but the service and food are excellent.

    Pho with bone.

The broth is probably one of the most flavorful that I've had in the Area. The service is attentive. I like that I can buy an extra bone. A few places have that option, however this one gives me an option to just have 1 because I don't need 5 of them. Their chili and oil sauce is probably a step above the other ones also it seems to have more depth and more heat And not as oily.

Solid Bun Bo Hue! Large bowl was full of meat and a huge plate of veggies per person. Broth could use a bit more umami but other than that it really hit the spot. Also I might note for them to bring the noodle soup steaming hot next time because as soon as you dunk the entire plate of veggies in, it becomes lukewarm. I mentioned it to one of the staff and they happily reheated it. Service was friendly and attentive which I appreciate.

After raving about pho for years I finally got my boyfriend to try it, it was very spontaneous and we decided to come to Pho K. We absolutely loved the food and my boyfriend now likes pho and already wants to come back. The service was very quick and they recommended a bowl for him to try. We thought the environment was very cozy, the music wasn't too loud and we had a very enjoyable experience.

Overall, the food was ok. People were nice. I've had better in Houston. I wouldn't return.

My second time back here. I had their Bun Bo Hue and it was solid! It was so good with all the flavors like homemade back home. This second around, I tried their pho. It was good but I think my to go would be the Bun Bo Hue. Not a lot of people make good BBH so I score when we stumble into this place.

In the Katy area, Phở K is our family's favorite spot for Bún Bò Huế with its rich and authentic Hue flavor. I also tried the 5-level spicy Phở Sa Tế, which was very satisfying and gave me a fresh experience with Phở. Today, they also had Chè Bưởi, which was very refreshing and not too sweet. The place is clean, and the owner is especially friendly, always checking in and recommending more delicious dishes to customers.

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We saw on the door that they're BYOB? Thai Green Tea (4.5/5): Really sweet but with some pretty unique grassy/herbal notes! (Pandan??) Would recommend if they can adjust the sweetness down a notch. We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

We got the roti canai and salt and pepper calamari as appetizers, and the sizzling tofu, beef rendang, CK teow as entrees. - Sizzling tofu (6/5): A MUST TRY! I've never had tofu with this texture before. The outside is slightly crisp and the inside so light and fluffy, it feels like bitting into a cloud. The tofu tastes like a creamy egg soufflé and the sauce is savory and salty with pieces of sauté onions that add a nice crunch. The presentation was also very striking with the server pouring the sizzling sauce over the tofu. It's just such a beautiful dish that I would go back solely for! - Beef rendang (4.5/5): Overall a delicious and hearty dish. The beef was very tender and juicy, and there was a generous amount of it. The potatoes soaked up the sauce very well and made the dish extra filling. I forgot if we got to pick a spice level, but the dish had a nice kick to it and wasn't overwhelming spicy. - "CK teow" char kway teow (4/5): This dish had a lovely char tasted to it that made it very addictive. Just a nice savory noodle dish. I think my only complaint was that the portion was on the smaller side - Salt & pepper calamari (3.6/5): This was a pretty good calamari. The calamari had a light and crispy exterior and was pretty tender and seasoned really well. The chunky veggies were a nice touch texture wise. - Roti Canai (3.6/5): the Indian bread was so nice and flakey, I could've eaten it alone. The curry was also really tasty and flavorful, just a little bit watery. Service/ambiance: Service was excellent and they gave us so much rice. Service was prompt and quasi friendly. I thought the broth was good despite having an overwhelming aroma of cinnamon. I requested for pho tuoi (fresh noodles) which are slightly bigger than the standard noodles they give you. However, I regretted this choice because many of my noodles were clumped together, distracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I think there's a heavy usage of MSG in their broth because I felt loopy and very thirsty for water halfway through. Needless to say, I was only able to eat half of the generous serving. For those who are a fan of pho and appreciate generous portions, this place is definitely worth a visit. Their pho bowls are substantially larger than those I've encountered elsewhere, offering a potentially satisfying experience for the more voracious diner but for me, quantity is not enough of a reason to become a regular. At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. My go-to order is the Bún Thịt Nướng (B2) -- the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the noodles are light, and the vegetables are incredibly fresh.
