I really like this place! They give you large portions without making you feel gross because some Pho restaurants have really oily broth, but not Pho Ha! I've been here a couple times and I've gotten pho and the rice vermicelli. They're both really good. They give you large portions of meat and you're really getting your money's worth! Their menu is vast with lots of options, whether you want pho, rice dishes, vermicelli dishes, or others. There's also ample parking and all staff wear masks. Indoor seating is also available. Service - 4- we were seated right away, short wait time for our waiter to come to our table and take our orders; then food brought to our table within 20 minutes, complete with extra plates and bowls. I gave 4 for service because we had to remind the waitstaff to bring our drinks and had to share 1 menu. Food- 5 -the yellow noodles in the wonton pho were the BEST and the TASTIEST noodles we've ever had! The chicken pho, shrimp spring rolls, pork chop with rice, and fried noodle was also good. The food looked freshly made, good presentation/ set up; big food servings. Although I'm not a big fan of their stainless steel bowls, my family liked it. Ambiance- 3.5- overall clean areas, floor not sticky, good ventilation, bit crowded walkway along the table areas, but good booth space. The table we were at was sturdy, not wobbly and the napkin caddy, condiments and utensils were generally clean. The employees cleared and cleaned the tables quietly and efficiently, did not have the dirty bin nor the dirty cart to collect used tablewares. The servers' hands were clean, fingernails clean and not wearing gloves. They also minimized talking while serving our food which was a big plus for us. As a half Vietnamese girl, this is a pretty solid place for Viet food near UCR. Its significantly better than the place in University Village!! The parking is nice and spacious and the service is fast which is always appreciated. I ordered the grilled pork spring rolls and specifically said "#50" and there was a miscommunication and they brought me #15 by accident but immediately made my dish as soon as it was pointed out! Their menu has a good amount of variety for vegetarians and meat eaters so this is a great spot for a diverse group. Their spring rolls are a bit smaller than I'm used to but that may just be because it's technically an appetizer. I've had the combo dac biet here numerous times. The Chinese Pork Bahn Mi is heavenly. Service is attentive and quick once called upon. Big place and well ventilated. Seating can be a bit impersonal and awkward in the back corner as the booths are pretty close by so if you care, avoid that corner. Not a deal breaker for me! read more

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant. I bring this up because both the times we went it took a while to be seated although there were plenty of open tables and booths. The service at the table itself was relatively quick. We went late in the night but they were packed. Maybe that explains the slowness of getting us seated. The pho was excellent. The meat was thinly sliced and cooked in the broth right in front of my eyes. The broth was very aromatic and flavorful. They add cinnamon to their broth at levels at which you can smell and taste it too (clearly I don't have COVID! ). We also ordered spring rolls -- both fried and fresh -- for the table. The fried one was very tasty and not too oily. They were wound up tight enough for the rolls to keep the oil out. The fresh spring rolls were also tightly rolled. The meats in the fresh rolls, however, had no flavor. The sauces had too much fish sauce for my liking. We also ordered their smoothies-- jackfruit, avocado and taro. The taro IMO was best. It had a slightly gritty texture and not too sweet. The avocado and jackfruit were also very good. The jackfruit smoothie was little bit too sweet. They say they use fresh fruit but I do wonder if the jackfruit came from a can with sugar syrup. Don't know for sure. We bought take out during the covid-19 shut down. I am grateful they were open. I am Vietnamese and would say that this restaurant is more of a fast food Vietnamese restaurant catered to Americans rather than a traditionally authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Observation 1- bun tau hu xao dish: Lack of herbs/ vegetables traditionally found in most traditional Vietnamese restaurants. Where's the cinnamon basil/ cilantro, shredded pickled carrots/ daikon. Observation 2-Hu Teui xao dish: I must say that take out does not hold well for the Hu Teui xao dish. It congeals into a solid block when sitting. I though it was too saucy yet not full flavored enough. Alas, I have a lot of sympathy for restaurants. Like most restaurants, it generally a better when you dine in. Environmental conditions are generally more controllable- temperature controls of food arrival to your table, proper tools and sauces readily available, ability to easily ask for modifications. The smell of pho broth, beef, and pure deliciousness fills the entire surrounding area and it definitely gets me excited for the food! This restaurant is an absolute treasure and close to the UC Riverside campus too. They serve a variety of Vietnamese dishes similar in quality to Vietnamese restaurants in communities with a high population of Vietnamese people such as Orange County/Westminster/Garden Grove. The servers are also Vietnamese! The prices are also good for the quality of food.
