4.5/5 It took me a while to try this pho place because some of the reviews weren't that great, but I'm glad I finally gave it a chance. This restaurant is very no-frills. The staff isn't rude or unfriendly- just straightforward and efficient. They get the job done. If you're expecting a very warm, welcoming hospitality, you might be a little disappointed. I usually get takeout here, and the process is always quick, smooth, and to the point. Also, bonus points for opening early at 9 a.m.! The pho meats are tender and never dry or stale. I especially love their fatty brisket and rare fillet steak. The pho noodles are just how I like them: not too thick, with a good amount of chew. The broth isn't the richest or most savory I've had, but it's well-balanced and satisfying. The "large" portion should be enough for most people, unless you have a big appetite. I also always get their Vietnamese coffee. It's thick, strong, and hits the spot every time. There's an additional charge for payments made with a credit or debit card. They have a parking lot, which is a plus, but it can fill up during peak hours.

The prices were decent. Food was good and what I expected to taste like.... I had to ask for nuoc cham which I thought was weird. Restaurant looks like a typical ambiance of a Vietnamese restaurant. Overall, an average experience.

Egg rolls, pho dac biet large, chicken pho

A friend recommended me to try the pho here. Happy to say he had a solid suggestion! The restaurant is located in a weird little plaza, but they do have free parking available in the lot. Their pho was delicious. I ordered the chicken soup with chicken stock. It was so clean. They served me half a chicken, so I had to pick at the bones. I also ordered the fried egg roll appetizer, which was amazing. I love that it comes with all the green veggies. I must have eaten more veggies that meal than in the entire week! The serving ladies were very nice. Our table was small, and they helped us arrange things to fit all the dishes. I would come back!

Fatty Brisket & Beef Ball Pho

This is probably the best pho spot in the 626 area! I've been here a couple times and never had to wait because they have a lot of tables inside and food comes out quick! I ordered the beef ball and fatty brisket pho. I really appreciate that the broth isn't too salty and has a lot of authentic beef flavor in it. The fatty brisket MELTS in your mouth. I loved it! They give you a lot of pieces of meat to go with the delicious, bouncy noodles. For $12, it is such a steal for the portion and its high quality ingredients! I also love how they give you onions on the side so you can add it in based on your own preference. The staff are nice and friendly! It's a very casual setting as you pay at the cashier once you have finished your meal. Overall, would come back again!

I have heard from many locals who swear by this place. I live in Rosemead, so the fact that I haven't been here yet is blasphemy! I met my friend who owed me a Birthday meal here and he was greeted by the server like an old buddy. So I'm guessing he comes here that much. The inside looked pretty traditional for a pho place, they even had a glass case that had additional things to purchase, even Asian sausage! He recommended the flank pho and mentioned that the broth will be darker than other broths and he was right! It was also very flavorful! The drink selection was amazing! Tons of boba choices. Teas, slushes and milk teas! I gotta come back for those drinks! I give this place a 5 out of 5. Excellent. Will definitely come back.

Pho is decent. Very barebones restaurant, you come for the food and just the food. Restroom is very small and toilet takes a couple flushes to actually flush. Food is not cheap nor are they generous with their portions, but their soup broth is delicious and not too salty and fat like other pho places.

In my opinion, the pho here is pretty average though does satisfy the pho cravings. In my last trip here, when it came to their pho dac biet, the broth had okay flavor, the noodles were too soft, and the meat was of average quality. Nothing special. This spot's pretty popular in the community but I think there are plenty of other places in SGV right now to get better pho. I've come here quite a few times but mainly because they do have cool interesting drinks like the durian smoothie/shake.

Pho Filet 2 used to be our go to place. But when we came a week ago, we realize why it's not anymore. Although the Pho is still pretty good, my dad complained about how their meat were in little pieces instead of the ribeyes that usually get other places. Their eggrolls are decent, but we prefer Golden Deli eggrolls instead. Overall, it's a decent place, but we feel like their quality has gone down a little bit.

#20 Pho with filet rare steak, well-done flank & brisket

Quick and friendly service, cozy environment, food was a bit pricy. The pho was good but lacked depth and flavor (felt watered down). I love the ice tea.

Pho Filet 2 was the pick for a family weekend brunch. They have a parking lot located on Newmark Ave, but it has limited spots. There were still plenty of tables opened when we got there and our party of 9 was able to get seated right away. The waiter got our water and orders down quickly after we seated. However, when it came to bringing the orders out, many different waiters came out and there were miscommunication on where orders were supposed to be within our party. I ordered #16 phở đặc biệt (large) and a cà phê dừa đã. My pho was honestly nothing special. The broth tasted underwhelming, and the meat was okay (filet rare steak, well done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe). The large portion was definitely a lot, but I wasn't enjoying the pho, so I didn't finish it. The coffee was good and on the sweeter side. Lastly, I particularly didn't like our seating (middle area), because there wasn't enough space between us and the table behind us. This made it hard to get up for the restroom and paying at the counter. Note: They accept credit card at a minimum of $25. They do accept American Express.

Heard so much about this place and finally made it here. Ordered to go and the food was delicious. Pho broth was rich and flavorful. Deep fried bean curd skin wrap with shrimp was crispy. Curry was less flavorful, on the more watery side. I'd be back to try more.

I love Vietnamese food. I've even traveled to Vietnam years ago. I like to think I can distinguish good and bad Vietnamese food. I had this spot on my list for a minute. I was also recommended this place, by an acquaintance who is Vietnamese. He said, this is his go to spot. I know this place must be good if someone from Vietnam will recommend it to you. All the dishes were tasty and fresh. The pho was great as well. We'll be back again

Overall, we really enjoyed the meal, everything was flavorful and satisfying. The only thing I didn't like were that the sliced beef in the bún bò huế was a bit chewy, and the chả in the soup was just okay. That said, the dry vermicelli dishes really stood out, and I'd definitely come back to order those again.

That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.

It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open.
