Pho Crystal is just down the road and it's our "Go To" spot whenever we're hungry for Vietnamese fare. Nam and her family own and run the restaurant very efficiently as it seems all of Allen dine here and the restaurant gets very crowded at lunch & dinner. We always get the same menu choice of pho noodles and an order of spring rolls. Both very filling portions that come out piping hot. The spring rolls are delicious especially with the peanut and plum sauces to accompany. What I like about this place is the neighborhood atmosphere and Nam doesn't forget you so it has a "Cheers" like feeling when you walk in. It's true when they say that the best, most authentic restaurants have 3-star reviews. I went to this restaurant at 5pm on a Saturday. It was busy. It took a long time for us to even get a waiter to talk to us because the waiters were all preparing soups, and giving it to 3 other tables. But even though my stomach grumbling for food (I hadn't eaten in 5 hours), the food was delicious. The only con I have for the food is that there was more soup than I prefer. That is the only thing that makes me not want to come back here, but everyone should give this place a chance at least once. I was able to talk to my friend without asking her to repeat herself. There was no music playing, just families and friends talking to each other. We wanted something healthy before shopping at Allen Outlet Mall and decided to try Pho Crystal since there were good reviews. I ordered the P2 Pho and my husband ordered the shrimp egg noodle dish both in a size large. When we got our bowl of soup, it looked like they have downsized the soup bowls because our soup bowls looked more like a small bowl that you would send to kids. They were also skimpy on the meat too. My pho broth tasted on the sweeter side which I don't really care for, the same with my husband's soup broth. Since arriving in McKinney,Texas last Oct 2021, we have been in search of new restaurants similar to our California favorites. One of them is the Vietnamese cuisine. So far, we have not found one that has knocked us off our feet with flavor....until yesterday when we stopped at Crystal Pho! Wooo! Finally, the perfect flavor of Pho broth which I absolutely loved and remember when I was still in California! It was sooooo Phobulous!!! Surprisingly, my parents love coming here when they're in town. Didn't know they liked pho so much. Service here is typically mediocre. They come by once to take your order and that's pretty much it. I came here the other day with my parents and not only did they make us move tables after we already sat down, they didn't even ask us about water or really acknowledge us until we were sitting there a few minutes looking around for someone to come get to at least get our food order. Slightly annoying but not bad enough to make me give this place a bad rating. The pho here is good! It comes out super fast. I always get the regular sized bowl special combination beef pho. My dad gets the large and our respective sized bowls fill us both up. I've gotten the Thai tea here once. When I ask for no ice, they put less Thai tea in my cup.. pretty typical of an asian place I guess. In my opinion, it's not worth. It looked like a decent amount when put in their cute glass cup, but when I was taking it to go and I poured it in a to-go cup, it barely filled half of the cup (and I only drank a few sips). I could pay the same amount at another boba place and get two times the amount. I'll come here for the pho, but I will get my Thai tea fixing elsewhere in the future. read more

Our friends recommended we meet them here. Kind of an out of the way place in an unremarkable shopping center. They were referred by a Vietnamese colleague for its authentic meals. WOW, the food was excellent and the menu has something for everyone! The Pho is excellent, but so was the Basil Chicken with Flat Noodles! My wife wanted crispy noodles and they made something off the menu to accommodate her. The staff was great and we had a lot of fun with them! We will DEFINITELY return! read more

Crystal Pho is in my neighborhood and I have enjoyed eating there for years. Their food is consistently good. I highly recommend them for take out also. Having just moved to Allen, TX...I was on the hunt for good Pho. I use my ol Yelp app and find a place 2 miles from home with 4 1/2 star rating, it didn't disappoint. I've eaten there 3 times in 9 days. Big Smile The beef is thinly sliced, more so than the other places I've tried. The flavor and aroma, simply delightful. They have several bowl sizes and I opted for Xtra Large...It was excellent and the staff was great...I got teased because my eyes watered up (with the spicy)...lol. I love this lil place. Couldn't get thru on the phone so we drove over to place a to go order. They were very nice. Took our order which is much appreciated since they were super busy and short staffed.
