We ordered the pho, chicken vermicelli, Vietnamese coffee. Although they didn't skimp on the pho noodles and meat, the whole dish was very average. Maybe it's because I'm Vietnamese and have had a lot of pho within my lifetime, but I felt like the soup could have been flavorful, but it wasn't. The rice noodle was also kind of hard. Pho Lane My daughter and I frequent a small Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood and have got to know the folks who manage it where they call us by name when we come in. Today, my daughter sent her son in to order 5 orders of pork egg rolls, and we waited in the car. When he came out we drove off, but the bags didn't feel hot, so we looked at the order and found that it was spring rolls instead of egg rolls. My daughter called and spoke to the wife (manager) who argued with my daughter and said her staff is well trained to confirm with customers before they begin making food. My grandson says he ordered egg rolls which we know to be fact because he had never heard of 'spring rolls'. So we think it was the error of the person taking the order. Bottom line the managers did not want to make it right and stated they would have to throw away the spring rolls. There was a price difference of $3 for each order where the spring rolls cost $3 more. I offered to split the difference if they would make the egg rolls. They agreed and made the egg rolls, but not without friction. My dauther says she didn't trust they didn't spit in the food or something. Should an establishment argue with customers and refuse to correct the error? I wanted to try a new pho spot so I can maximize my pho restaurants around the area. I'm going to give an honest review. This was mediocre at best with food, service and atmosphere combined. I like the concept and efficiency of everything. They don't waste anything. You get your pho piping hot which is nice and pho isn't horrible and I'm only speaking for the pho because that's what I ordered. I'm sure everything else is good too. The pho comes in a big paper bowl, which like I said it's efficient for easy cleanup and less mess overall but the bowl was too tall and not wide enough making scooping the soup kind of hard. In my opinion the pho was good but I've had better. I tasted a lot of msg. The place was extra plain and simplistic and gave off cafeteria vibes. You order your food, and they call for you when the food is ready and hands it to you on a tray. I would give this place another try if I'm in the area. Really enjoyed the food here but also getting a chance to connect with the family that owns it. They were all super nice and invested time to get to know us. That's the kind of connection I love to see from businesses in the community. We got the pho, and the spicy lemon grass pho. For anyone that's curious, the spicy broth isn't Bún bò Huế but it is nevertheless delicious. It had a lot of flavor and wasn't too spicy, at least for me. We each got all the meat protein toppings and the quality was very good. I liked that the meatball was sliced instead of it being a half a meatball. We also ordered the fried pork eggrolls which were sooo good. We had a favorite pho place back home in NJ that did great pork eggrolls and we thought these were even better. You do have to wait a bit for them to fry them but it's worth it being super fresh, hot, and crispy. Overall we really liked this place. Yes the broth is still sweeter than what we are used to, but we've found that to be the same with all the pho places in DFW so far. We still cleared everything including the broth and I was plenty full afterwards though my partner felt that he had some space left to eat dessert Portion sizes and price are reasonable in my opinion. Order from the counter, went sit down, took almost 20mim to have the noodle soup from the counter( self pickup) Soup was super hot and on the sweet side(msg) that almost can't drink right away. My hubby and I are excited about this adorable and delicious new restaurant near us. We love Phõ and Vietnamese food, and this hits the spot in many ways. Delicious and great quality food for reasonable prices and a convenient location makes this one of our new favorites. On our first visit, my hubby had the beef broth & all beef Phõ and Banh-Mi, and I had the spicy lemongrass beef broth & all beef Phõ and the beef spring/fresh rolls. The flavor profile and quality really stood out to us. Excellent quality and great quantity. We even met Mike and Trinh, the owners and chefs, who run this yummy place. They told us they really focus on making their family recipes with the best quality local ingredients. It definitely shows in the taste and quality of the food. On our first visit a few weeks ago, we ate inside, and Trinh personally brought the food over and spent time getting to know us (it helped that it was a super cold day and we were the first ones there. Excellent service and customer attention. And, today, when I came in to pick up our takeout, they remembered my hubby's name and gladly welcomed me back.
