We stopped by for an early lunch. Wanted to love it, but the food was just ok...ish. Service was great and the decor/vibe is cool. We tried the spicy basil with shrimp, everyday fried rice with shrimp, and tom kha soup. Everything was on the low average side. I eat a lot of Thai so this is in comparison to what I typically expect when eating Thai. We were also the first customers that day, so timing could have been off. Can't say we would return since there's so many better Thai options around. read more

I ordered a tofu Pad Kee Mow with spice level of level 5 hot for $12.95. The order was made quick and fresh. The staff was friendly. This was a large and spacious area with a bar. Although I ordered tofu, I can still imagine their meat dishes would be delicious. I highly recommend and plan on coming back! read more

Second time in a row ordering wonton soup and requesting medium spice, only to be met with bland broth. Disappointed. Soup is still good, but the spice is the chef's kiss. read more

The restaurant was very clean , nice atmosphere with pleasant music in the background . The meal I ordered what delish! I enjoyed every bit of it, Tom Kha just had the right amount of spice and coconut cream and the noodles was spot on. For dessert I had the sticky rice with mango, it was still good , the rice was just overly sweet and the mango is no to sweet . All in all I wouldn't be opposed to going back there again to try other dishes . read more

Thai chicken fried rice was meh. Greasy and peculiar odor from the oil. Could have used more color and flavor. Tofu Garden was unimpressive and overpriced for the very small amount of food in a huge flat bowl. The tofu was overdone and the sauce and veggies were sparse. Flavor was not really present at all. The chicken Satay was good. Only thing I'd order again. The chicken was done very well and the peanut sauce was delicious. Hint of coconut milk in the chicken satay. Server came to table and announced total when I had to take an emergency call at table. Should have walked away. Waved him away. Ticket clover miscalculated tip on total + tax but the itemized check was not shown before we were presented the total so had no basis to know until after and total ticket was printed. Won't return. Done. Too many better choices. Sad. Was really looking forward to tonight's dinner at Silver Thai. read more

Great food! Great service. Great prices! We go every month and have never Ben disappointed

Customer service is quick and good but the pad Thai spicy level 5 was more like a spicy level 0. No veggies in it and not much flavor or spiciness. Thai tea was good though! I do t think I'll go back it wasn't worth the $20 for sure but nice sized servings if you like not spicy read more

We dined here for lunch on a Saturday. Loved the atmosphere!!! It was so beautifully decorated. I think it would be especially pretty in the evening. I would recommend this for a romantic evening out. We enjoyed some pad Thai, as well as some chicken with chili sauce. The best thing about our experience was the lovely young lady who was our server. Kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu items. read more

Would not recommend. The food was good and the wait staff were incredibly kind, BUT the owner completely Ruined the experience and made everyone in the restaurant very uncomfortable. He was yelling at employees loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. We heard dishes breaking and multiple teenage employees were visibly upset and crying. It was honestly disturbing to witness and made for a very uncomfortable meal. I can't support a business where the owner treats his staff this way. read more

Wow! Super fast service. I called in an order for pick-up. They said it would be 30 minutes till ready. I think it was ready in 15 minutes. The food was ok for takeout. You get 3 egg rolls, vegetables rolls at that for $8.95. Same with the Pad Thai $15.95. The inside still looks the same as it did 20 plus years ago. At least they took those dirty drapery's down from around the booths! Well done! The business really needs to update their website! I know it's pre-pandemic prices that are listed. So buyer beware/aware! I suppose I will be back, however, it will be sparingly. September 2023 read more

Our favorite Thai place. So happy we discovered Silver Thai several weeks ago. We've dined here 3 times since. The freshness and the quality of the ingredients are second to none. We usually don't venture out and try different dishes just because you don't know what you're going to get and don't want to end up disappointed. Not here. Every dish we've tried was served with the correct temperature, flavor profile on point, excellent freshness and quality, and meticulously presented. Special note, best pad Thai ever. Most places are too sweet and saucy. Here, the pad Thai is prepared with the perfect amount of sauce and ingredients that incentivizes you to finish everything on your plate. Not good for your waist line, but the buds are doing their happy dance. Last, but certainly not least, the staff is always friendly. The owner, Ken, takes great pride in his restaurant and we can see why. If you haven't tried Silver Thai because you just don't know, now is the time. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

I don't know what's wrong with this restaurant staff, they're over staffed but still you have to wait a long time for even a small order, it seems they only care about those customers who dine in , you can feel the discrimination, terrible management , definitely not coming back ... read more

My favorite Thai place! Great drinks and the sunshine rolls with chicken are the best! We love all the dishes! Support local!

overpriced. Calamri $12 for 7 tiny pieces. Waiter was very rude and short spoken with us. I tried to talk to management & just got yelled at with "I've known him for years". 10/10 would not recommend read more

We started with the Famous bags of gold & I highly recommend them! They are so fun and delicious I got the yellow curry with tofu & I was a little sad it didn't come vegetables :( BUT THE FLAVOR WAS AWESOME!!! Really good Thai food, fresh and hot. I usually get the pad kee Mow and I like it pretty spicy. What I love about this place is it is consistent. ANC food comes to table hot. They use no MSG at all, which is another plus for me. read more

I really wish that establishments would realize the importance of customer service. For me, if the customer service is bad I am less likely to visit. First of all, when I called the person answering just said hello. No restaurant name. I had questions about a couple of items that I was interested in and when I asked the second question I could hear the irritation in this persons voice. Once I arrived, there was no one at the host stand to greet or direct me. The only reason that I figured it out is because I saw my Togo order over on the bar. Within the 5 minutes of me standing there, 3 different workers walked by me without acknowledging my presence. The 3rd person finally looked at me and handed me my receipt. Still not saying anything! Finally once I hand her my card she asks if I need any types of sauce. She takes my card then walks over to the side to get glasses for worker #2 that didn't acknowledge me. Once she slides my card then she walks over and hands me my card and receipt and tells me to enjoy my lunch. As far as taste, the vegetable tempura is fried completely too hard!! This sauce that was provided is clumpy. The pad see lew is decent but only has 4 pieces of broccoli and just looks thrown together. I love Thai food and I have visited quite a few restaurants. This by far has been the worst. read more

Loved the experience of eating here. Great atmosphere inside the restaurant and attentive service. You know it's gonna be good Thai food when they give you 7 LEVELS OF SPICY to choose from! We started with the famous bags of gold appetizer, no pic because we devoured them. I got the Panang curry with chicken and it was amazing. I got the level 4 spicy because I'm a baby and it was perfect. The spice level with the flavor of coconut milk in the curry combined with the crispy asparagus 10/10 will definitely come back here read more

One of the most authentic tasting Thai places I've found! We went in family style with Green Curry, Pad See Iew, Beef Mussaman Curry, Tom Kha with Tofu, Spicy Basil Chicken and (not on the menu) Khao Soi. Everything was amazing! Favorites we're Khao Soi, Mussaman and Pad See Iew. Ambiance - nice decor and spacing. Service - we had a sweet teen taking care of us who was very polite. He also knew that when we mentioned Khao Soi even though it wasn't on the menu that they could make it. The owner stopped by to visit, bought us a beer and chatted for quite a while. He really made an effort to connect with his guests and elevated our experience from 4 to 5 stars. Thank you! read more

My go to to meet my friends. Food is good, beer is cold and I enjoy the atmosphere.

Pad Kee Mow with flank steak, and Fried rice with bbq pork were delicious. Great place for good Thai and drinks. Spacious and comfortable with good music playing. What was probably the most impressive thing about it was our server, Preston. Very accommodating, considerate and polite. It was beyond what you would find in a restaurant that isn't fine dining. Props. read more

Silver Thai is a wonderful and pleasant restaurant to go to that offers a wide variety of appetizers and main dishes. Portion sizes were quite generous and I had plenty to take home for the following days lunch as well! For appetizers, I got the summer roll with tofu as well as the Tofu skewers. The summer rolls were fresh and crispy and was accompanied by a sweet plum sauce that was quite interesting. The tofu skewers on the other hand were bland and not that great. For my main dishes, we had ordered three noodle dishes. The Pad Thai was fantastic! The Pad Kee Mow which is my usual order was also quite good. We were curious by the Singapore stir-fry and it certainly did not disappoint. While the service was a little slow, the taste, atmosphere, and large portion sizes made the experience worthwhile and I would definitely consider eating here again. read more

Love the beef jerky and the beef dishes. We tried another Thai place that started strong but have since digressed. We are sorry Silver Thai... we're coming back. read more

The pad kee mow was good, surprisingly authentic The pork medallions were lean. They were dry, but only slightly over cooked, it was just really lean. I would not recommend it. Overall the menu seems to be cleverly split between authentic dishes with thai names and inauthentic (american) dishes in english names. At first the pad kee mow felt over priced, but after receiving it, the quality was quite good. It was very well cooked and prepped, so its almost worth the price tag. The menus on yelp are very out dated, pad thai us 17$ for context. Service was good. Ambiance was way too formal for my taste. Needed some music and brighter lighting imo. read more

I have eaten in the restaurant before and it didn't disappoint! The restaurant was so beautiful and had amazing service!Tonight I ordered for delivery and it was still just as amazing! Do not skip out on this place! If you love Thai food you will love this place! I ordered tonight the Bags of Gold (wow was the presentation alone eye catching, but so delicious!), Wonton soup (so flavorful and huge dumplings), Cashew Chicken (tons of rich flavor and great spices), and the Pork Medallions ( grilled to perfection even for takeout! Tender with tasty veggies, I got extra just because!)! Now I got everything as spicy as it could come because that's to MY liking and even asked for extra! I also asked to send Thai fresh hot chilies and Thai chili powder on the side which they did! The portions are huge, so one dish definitely feeds two people! I felt price was, definitely comparable to other Thai restaurants, maybe a little less? Please let me know your thoughts, but I would put it at my top! Thank you tonight for a wonderful meal! read more

This is our local Thai spot. When my husband and I first started dating, I asked if he wanted to get Tom Kha at Silver Thai Cuisine. He didn't know what Tom Kha was, and I said, ooooooh you're in for a real treat ! Needless to say he loved it and now we both regularly crave Tom Kha soup. Silver Thai has the best Tom Kha that we've been able to find locally- I've been to a few different places and nothing compares. It's SO GOOD. I also wanted to give a shout out to the ambiance and overall vibes, which is why I'm giving it 5 stars. We always sit at the bar when we go in, and every employee there (and Kenny the owner) is just so warm and welcome. Great recommendations on drinks and food... and the atmosphere there is so friendly that it lends to everyone sitting at the bar chatting together. I'm not a chatty person by any means but I always enjoy hanging out with the regulars at the bar and talking to the staff. Definitely recommend Silver Thai! read more

Best place for Thai food ! Ordered pad kee mo and Thai chicken fried rice, was too good .

The food is fresh and hot. Obviously made when it was ordered. Service was fast when we were here for lunch, but there weren't many people here. Ambience is good and the restaurant is clean. The classic rock music could be swapped with traditional Thai music for a little more immersive ambience. At lunch, you get your choice of two soups or a spring roll. Prices stay the same with the dinner menu. The Tom Kha was flavorful. The green curry was good but not amazing. It was missing... Something. The Pad Ki Mow was good but wasn't the traditional Thai flavor. Almost Americanized. Overall still a nice restaurant and worth visiting. read more

My parents live in Allen and they are regulars here. Over the years, they've become friendly with Ken, the owner, as well as much of the other staff. This place definitely has the sort of warm, family restaurant vibe that facilitates those sorts of connections, with cozy booths and a circular bar where I've been able to join my parents as three adults and chat with the other patrons. This most recent visit, my sister loved the tom kha coconut soup she ordered a second bowl. I enjoyed my beef panang curry but should have ordered it spicier. The menu is very big and I recommend looking over it before you come. I hadn't been in a while and I sort of ordered out of panic. Whatever you get, it will probably be great, though! read more

Came across this spot only because our usual spot wasn't offering dine in. And so glad we did! This place was amazing. The entrees were delicious, but the appetizers and desserts were where it's at!!!! Place is very clean, service is great and food is delicious! Presentation and portion sizes are on point too. The jerky and the bags of gold were very delicious as well as the mango and stick rice. This place is hit or miss. Sometimes it's really good, other times we are disappointed. I usually order yellow curry here and at our most recent visit it was incredibly watery and bland, despite ordering it spicy there was hardly any spice/chili in the dish. Appetizers are usually pretty good, service is intermittent. Sometimes the waitstaff is attentive w refills etc, other times.. not. Probably won't return again due to how inconsistent our experiences have been lately. read more

The food here is delicious and the service is always excellent. My favorite dish is the glass noodle pad Thai with shrimp.

Consistently good flavor but not good enough for overpriced small portions at $17 for veg Panang curry in my opinion. Other local Thai restaurants at this price point have much larger portion and way more veggies. But again, good flavor read more

Cute Thai restaurant with lots of decor. Their lunch special is pretty good, $10 for a plate of pad thai (or other noodle dishes). Service was pretty slow, only had like 1 server when I went. The pad thai wasn't to my liking-- it's super sweet and not spicy at all despite me said medium spicy. I enjoy the ambiance, but I probably wouldn't come back because I wasn't impressed with the food quality nor service. read more

The best: Pad Thai, sticky rice, bags of gold, red curry fried rice, Tom Kha, Thai iced tea, and many more amazing dishes, but also the best ambiance and service.
