I went for some late lunch in between a ceremony and the reception so was on a time crunch. I was the only client there and there was one male host. I was greeted and sat. I attempted to ask between their preference of rad na or something else on the menu that sounded like drunken noodles. He then suggested a different item which was the chicken pad see ew level three, which is what I ordered. The food came out in about 8 minutes where I saw the food was extremely greasy and the protein was pork. It took me about 5 minutes to finally see the waiter and inform him that the food was prepared incorrectly. He then took the plate and wanted to remake. I agreed at first then immediately declined as I needed to leave soon and was staying in a hotel nearby so didn't want to take it to go. He became irritable and said it was already done (even though he just told the kitchen the order was wrong). Someone else came from the kitchen and asked what the issue said. I told her I couldn't wait for the order to be prepared correctly and she kept pressing me to stay where I kept stating I didn't have time. She then became upset and told me to leave, which I did. The service wasn't great and just wish they were more understanding that they made an error rather than being upset with me that I couldn't stay. I would have requested for them to remake it sooner but the host and the waiter were listening to music on their phones making it hard for them to hear me as I called for them. read more

We have been eating at Best Thai for 18 years. We adore the owner Kris & he's the best cook. His customer service amazing. We moved back to Texas almost a year ago and have eaten here a dozen times. This is our last. We walk in and the grumpy young girl is 1st thing we see. We call her that every time. Then as we're seated we walk past the "employee" booth and there's a dog sitting in the booth like a customer. We asked grumpy girl since when are dogs allowed. She said it's a service dog. No vest or any notification that it's a service dog. The young man in same booth kept petting the dog as they ate and drank. Then he walks into the kitchen like it's all you can eat buffet. He went back into kitchen about 3 times. Grumpy girl never got nice. The only time she was nice is when I found a hair in my soup! We still went back out of loyalty to Kris and the memories of the best food! The food not the same either. We live in Dallas, not worth driving to the suburbs to this place anymore. The food was ready quick and was piping hot when I received it even though I waited until I got to where I was going to open it. I had paid quickly and left so I didn't notice that they did not provide any napkins or utensils. This is the primary reason for the 3 star rating.
