I loved this place! The inside was cute and very clean. The food was delicious, authentic Viet food. I had the shaken beef - super tender and flavorful. My dad had the Bun bo hue and loved it. We also had banh xeo (Viet pancake), which was huge and very good. We also had shrimp spring rolls and pork spring rolls - delicious and fresh. All the dishes came with ample servings of the appropriate fresh vegetables which I also appreciated. We finished the meal with flan, which was super good! While the servers are kind and friendly, they don't understand when someone asks for no fish or no egg in the dishes. There seems to be a bit of miscommunication between wait staff and the kitchen, as 2 servers said there wasn't any fish sauce in the rice (even though we could smell it). Later the chef came out and said they put fish sauce in their fried rice (what Vietnamese restaurant does that?). This was a very dangerous mistake and could be very serious if someone requests ingredients not be in their food. What is someone has severe allergies? If there is a language barrier, please have someone working who can translate for the customers. Sadly, we just don't feel safe returning to the restaurant. read more

Ordered through DoorDash. I got the Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli with Egg Rolls. The food was very fresh and the egg rolls were very very good. Some of the best egg rolls I think. I am reviewing this place based on my experience with Amazon Restaurants. I decided to order from here based on the positive reviews and my craving for some pho and a banh mi sandwich. I was actually really surprised Amazon was willing to deliver to my area when this restaurant was 6 miles away from me, so of course that was a plus. When we received our food, it was warm but closer to the cold side. I wanted to enjoy it right away but had to heat up everything again. I got the special pho and it was definitely authentic broth and it was tasty. Sandwich was pretty good too. Overall, I'm taking away one star because I didn't like how I had to re-heat up my food. I love pho! I also love trying new pho places. I first tried their pho back in December. Pho was mediocre, but their spring rolls, I live for it. I love their smoothies! I work for Academy and saw this restaurant just opened across the street. I stopped by the restaurant during lunch break and ordered a small pho, egg rolls and Vietnamese coffee. The rolls are crunchy, and the pho is the best. The soup is mouth-watering tasty with tender meatballs. In fact, i think their pho is one of the best in Katy. This has got to be the best Vietnamese restaurant in the greater Houston area. I say that having tried so many places in Bellaire and Alief. This hole-in-the-wall is underrated, perhaps overshadowed by the other pho place on Mason. Guarantee, however, Pho Chopstix is the best. For one, they are fast. It takes me about ten minutes to get there from when I order by phone. I get there, BAM! It's already ready. It's not just the sandwiches that are fast but also the pho and rice dishes. I have never had such wonderful banh mi. The bread is perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The meat is perfectly cooked. It must be marinated in holy goodness. There's a spread they use, not sure what it is, but wow! It just brings out the flavor in everything. The vegetables, oh my, not too many, just right. I'm telling you! Best Banh Mi ever! Now on to the rice dish. I get BBQ pork with rice. Here we go again...I have never tasted bbq pork so tasty and perfectly cooked. That Vietnamese sauce, nuoc nam? You've got to try it. It's not soup, but you couldn't tell that by the way I consume it. Such a big portion too. Look, man, it is 10x better than Tan Tan's, just to give you an idea. Now the Bun Bo Hue. (I apologize for the typos). OMG. There's literally a place in Alief that only serves that, dare I call it, noodle soup. Pho Chopstix has them beat! My sinuses cleared when I had Pho Chopstix. If it wasn't steaming hot, I would have just stuck a straw in the bowl. If you're not Vietnamese (like me) and you've tried pho and you like spicy...order this. Best of all, it is cheap! Like Bellaire cheap. I think they have amazoneats, by the way. (Another review dared complain about having to heat up the food delivered to them. Well, duh. Well oh my GOODNESS!! I've just discovered Pho nirvana! And it's literally right outside my neighborhood! I've tried all the popular Katy spots, south Mason, but for heavens sake head north peeps! North of I10 on Mason! Pho ChopstiX sits in an unassuming strip shopping center near Joy Love Burgers, another all star restaurant!! I had given up on Pho as every place I tried it, it was like eating a bowl of slightly flavored water with tasteless noodles and bland vegetables! But Pho ChopstiX has the most flavorful broth which seeps into the most fresh veggies and noodles and basil and cilantro! Literally tastes like they just went out to the garden to pick them! And this was at 7:30 on a Friday night! For just about 8.00 I got a HUGE BOWL of chicken breast Pho. So I'm not that adventurous but will branch out next time and go for the Banh Mi! I'm Vietnamese American and have lived in Katy for the past 7 years. Previous years I felt like the only decent place in Katy to get the most authentic Vietnamese pho was Pho Saigon on Mason. Since then several Vietnamese restaurants have opened up but none had great variety that is all good such as pho, banh mi (sandwiches) and rice plates. I've been to Chopstix a few times now and I have to say.. All of their dishes they offer is delicious! Their banh mi is soft but perfectly toasted around the edges, their pho broth hits the spot and their meats is marinated perfectly. Bo luc lac (shaking beef) is a hard dish to perfect but one of my faves here. Not to mention the clean, nice and relaxing ambiance here. I will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and neighbors! read more

I have always gone to Pho Saigon on Mason for my Pho. The parking on Pho Saigon is horrible and one day we were craving Pho and started to look around for other Pho restaurants, I read the review on Pho Chopstix and decided to try it. I am so GLAD I found this place. It's on the opposite end of the majority of the other Pho restaurants, it's near Academy headquarter / office building, in a little nondescript strip complex. I wanted to eat here a few times before I posted a review, just so that I could be as objective as possible. The simple fact is that, as far as pho restaurants north of I-10 in Katy go, Pho ChopstiX is the best. Pleasant environment, very nice staff, and excellent food. Before Pho ChopstiX opened up, I had to travel south of I-10 to find high quality pho. I live on Clay rd., between Mason and Fry, so it was definitely a hassle to drive all the way down there for my fix. Now I don't have to do that. Even better, my work is close to their establishment, so I can even go in for lunch and be back within 35 minutes - the service is that fast! The speedy convenience doesn't come at the expense of quality, though, since their food is wonderful. Every time I go, the building seems empty, which is a shame. I think everyone who's a fan of pho or other Vietnamese food owes it to themselves to check Pho ChopstiX out. I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

This place is awesome, definitely the best Vietnamese place in the area. The waiters are nice and helpful and always quick. It's cheap and absolutely delicious food. We usually dine in but they're great for pick up and delivery too. They have a rewards program where you can get money off of your check after you've spent a certain amount over time, all you need is to give your phone number when you order and it keeps track.
