This was my first time experience here at Pho Anvi. I called in a pickup order for Tofu Springrolls on a Thursday evening. They told me it would take about 15 minutes to make. I came in early and there was no AC in and requested a cup of water in addition to the spring rolls. The hostess tended to other people and I had to remind her about the water. I had to use the restroom and was super grossed out. I also almost slipped on the floor on my way to the restroom and there was no wet floor sign which was scary. We ordered the C1 Diced Filet Mignon with Garlic Noodles, #41 Special Combination Fried Rice, and #45 Bún Heo Nướng, and unfortunately all three dishes were disappointing. The garlic noodles were probably the biggest letdown. They barely had any flavor at all -- honestly tasted like plain boiled noodles tossed with a little oil. For something that's supposed to come with a house garlic sauce, there was almost no garlic flavor or seasoning. The special combination fried rice was also very underwhelming. For a dish advertised with chicken, shrimp, and sausage, there was surprisingly little meat in it, especially for the price. Then the #45 vermicelli was missing the sauce entirely, which is a pretty important part of the dish. Without it, everything was dry and lacked flavor. It's disappointing because the portions look decent, but when you're paying these prices, the food needs to taste good too. My friend and I came here for a late lunch. It was still very busy! Service was very good, and our server was very attentive. We both got the 23. Pho Hai San (Pho with Seafood). It came with fish balls, shrimp, and a piece of octopus. It was delicious and not overly salty. I loved this place- first time visitors. Parking was insane when during the time between movies - there's a movie theatre next door. Crowds between the movies would make the rush at this pho place and other restaurants have stints of busyness. We were looking for a place in LA on the way going down to OC with rave pho reviews. The food was so yummy. Quick service... and my favorite part was that it was piping hot. I got your traditional chicken PHO. Became stacked with chicken and noodles. The broth was so good. The table usually has the utensils for you forks spoons chopstick napkins, and your sauces. They give you water upon sitting down, which is great. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. Customer Service Good service, friendly, kind. The servers were attentive and nice. I was very impressed with this Pho spot after having low expectations with it being in a strip mall next to a movie theater with alot of high traffic. I normally only go to the popular ones in Orange County in the Westminister/GG/Fountain Valley area... and when I have stopped by Pho restarautns in other cities I always left disappointed. But I was blown away by the Pho here! The broth was the best I've tasted in a very long time and really gives the OC spots a run for their money. I got the rib bone pho which was great. I liked that they had the Chef Special Pho options like the filet mignon and ginger one as well as the pho with tomato and cabbage. Also the staff was very friendly and attentive and even asked if I needed more noodles for soup after scarfing it down. We were disappointed i ordered the pork Patty's, pork skewers on vermicelli and received pieces of pork that looked like spam. Don't show one thing on menu and deliver another. I am genuinely surprised how good the pho is here. I have had northern style pho from OC and SJ, and this place had the best fresh noodles I've ever had. The noodles had the perfect soft texture and soaked up so much flavor from the broth. The broth itself was so delicious with many complex flavors, yet still was light and fresh. I had ordered the Pho Anvi, and the meat was tender and tasty. I wish there was a little more meat though for the price. I had also ordered the shrimp spring rolls which were also very good. I wish I had read more carefully beforehand, but I was driving and just did a quick Yelp search for nearby pho spots with high ratings, that's how I ended up here. WOW! I don't think I've ever been to a pho restaurant that provided UNLIMITED NOODLES! That's always been a thing for me, I eat my noodles way to quickly and just have all this soup leftover and feel so bummed but at Pho Anvi I have the chance to keep eating! I was craving some oxtail pho with my cute little squad. Mama Ve had the filet mignon pho, while my curly fries enjoyed the seafood pho packed with fish balls, shrimp, and veggies. Came back here again in 2026 after trying them out when they first opened. If you've had a lot of pho you'll instantly taste the terrible pho seasoning cube and powder they still use. They definitely do not broiled the broth in bones whatsoever. Don't be fooled by the large bowls. This place is the meaning of quantity over quality. I ordered a rare steak with tendon and there was a thin hair in my tendon and all they did was tell me that that happens from preparing the tendon. But the tendon is on the inside of the cow so why would there be hair inside. Their menu definitely has some interesting/different menu items that I have not seen before so I opted to try their best seller #27 which has tomato, garlic, and gailan vegetables. Their onion slices were grilled and the meat was also precooked in this bowl. Because of the tomato, the soup is sweeter. The noodles are thin flat noodles but not the wide noodles. Their pho dac biet (pho special combo) is a classic and good. To our surprise they also do unlimited noodles! Which is great for anyone who is a bigger eater. The Bo luc lac was pretty disappointing. The butter rice was soggy and lacked flavor. The filet mignon was tough and salty. I like comparing oxtail pho to the one at pho 79 in Garden Grove, and this one didn't meet expectations.
