Ordered pho through Uber Eat they gave me 1 sauce packet for my entire meal. They cheap and unacceptable. Needless to say my pho was bland flavorless and sad.

This place is located in a very busy corner but has plenty of parking. The service was great and the food was just as good. We arrived and were greeted and it is self seating. The lovely waitress took our order and within 5 min our food came out. Was in the mood for pho and this place did not disappoint. Lots of flavor and very filling. Came with some friends for lunch and it was a very chill atmosphere. My initial visit was about 3 weeks ago but I have already since returned again and it was just as good the second time around.

We came here on a Saturday evening - being located in a big plaza, there was plenty of parking, the restaurant had a few tables occupied and so getting seated was easy. Love how the restaurant isn't overwhelmingly busy so it was easy to get comfy and enjoy our meal. Our server was accommodating - we started off with a few appetizers, elote, fries and egg rolls. The Pandan Horchata drink was amazingly delish! The pho and the filet mignon was equally delish! I would definitely recommend!

Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 This place what I consider a fast food pho place but with high quality restaurant style dishes. Spacious indoor seating with no outdoor seating. Good service and food comes out fast. The wings were delicious and the garlic parm sauce came on the side for dipping and was perfectly zesty. I got the pho ribeye soup and was classic and waitress brought tons of onions and bean sprouts on request. Also tried the shaken pho soup (pho soup base with noodles and a side of filet mignon with onions and bell peppers that you throw into the pho) and it was just a deep, pungent Smokey flavor and was delicious. High quality and good pricing. Would be back

Basil could be fresher for $17

I want to like this location but for $17, it's k. For pho past 9pm, it's good. The broth at this location is muddy and opaque, as if they didn't blanch the meat/bones or let the meats cook too long in there. If it was tasty, I don't mind, but it tasted like they let the raw ribeye's blood leech into the soup much..maybe they just threw on bloody meat and made the broth too colored? Also the broth temperature is kinda not steamy. I think they get their noodle straight from the fridge almost as it came in a big ass chunk all clumped together. The bean sprouts were also straight from the fridge as it was cold. My broth was okay warm after adding the garnishes. 4 pieces of brisket and ribeye each, good amount of tendon (delicious here), and only a bit of tripe. The basil could be fresher as it had dried ends, maybe sitting for too long in the fridge. I'm not saying it's a bad spot, all cuts of meats are tasty, even the tendon, but the other branches definitely taste better. For $17 at 11pm with all SGV pho shop closed and OC too far, it'll do.

We've been sitting here for 10-15mins not one server has came up to use with a menu or anything ! Mind you there's only 6 people in here at most it's not busy whatsoever we had to walk to the register to ask someone to come help us out and the dude said go back to your table I'll be there right now like we haven't been waiting for so long he brought out a menu barely, luckily we knew what we wanted we're not going to take the chance to wait longer for him to come back to take our order but people want to get tipped with this kind of service ? Wow just wow , sorry for coming into your business and bothering you guys to buy food

I've been craving pho and there aren't many options in SELA so we decided to give this place a try. We were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the pho ribeye, pho rib bones, and the sautéed scallion elote. The meat in both pho's was tender and literally fell off the bone. The ratio of noddles and broth was perfect. I'm definitely no expert on pho broth but this was very tasteful. All the flavors complemented each other well. To drink we had the Horchata Pandan and the Green Thai Tea. Both soooo good!! The horchata pandan was definitely on the sweet side. We came on a Friday afternoon and there was a bit of a wait. There were people standing outside but service was very quick. We only waiting for about 5 min. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive even with the packed restaurant. We had never been here before and when we walked in, we were pretty impressed with how aesthetically cute the place is. It's actually a pretty restaurant to sit and have your meal. I thought this was more of a fast food kind of vibe from the outside. The parking can be a little tricky just because of the rest of the businesses but it's not too bad. The day is rainy and chilly so this was the perfect meal for today. Happy we decided to give this place a try because now it'll be our go to whenever we want pho and don't feel like driving too far.

Soup Shop is a small pho restaurant located in the South Gate plaza, and plenty of parking is available. We were able to be seated right away and the service moved pretty quickly from there. Payment is at the front when you're finished. We ordered a brisket pho and ribeye pho. The meat was surprisingly tender and not tough/dry at all. The broth was really tasty and flavorful as well. I wish there were more noodles though. But overall, we had a great experience here!

    Kristina N.

They give you huge rib bones. The broth is a little salty but flavorful. I love that they're open late. They get a little busy. We didn't have anyone check on us the whole time and we were trying to flag someone down for a water refill. On top of that the music was loud and someone kept switching songs and there were ads playing. It's not the end of the world but it was a bit annoying to have to listen to. I would recommend this spot if you want pho late at night and aren't too picky.

    Depression

Food was absolutely great; HOWEVER... Whoever is in charge of the music is setting the ambiance to hopelesness and despair. Happiness not allowed thru the speakers AT ALL. That black tea lemonade tho. GAS AF.

Really tasty veg pho! And the truffle fries are chef's kiss. Hadn't been here in almost a year but the place looks renovated. And they're not stingy with their limes!

I think I'm so used to going to my usual spot that this pho seems mediocre, but expensive, which is why I put 3 stars. It's $16 for a bowl. Also, for being such an expensive restaurant you'd think their restrooms would be clean, but it's filthy. I went it it was so dirty and no paper towels to dry your hands. But back to the food, it's not horrible, I rate the pho a 6.8/10, and i come becase it's the closest restaurant where I can find pho.

I felt almost confused at first, like as if the restaurant wasn't even sure of its own identity. However, once I started eating the food, I understood and am extremely impressed. I had ordered the crawfish pasta, popcorn chicken (spicy), and fried baos. The pasta was cooked perfectly with chunks of crawfish and sausage in a creamy tomato-esque sauce. I usually don't care for crawfish, but it was so delicious here. The sauce was so buttery and creamy, and the sausage added a cajun spice to the dish. The components are all very seafood boil, but felt different and innovative with unique flavors. The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! I ordered delivery, so this review was solely based off of the food.

It's the same Vietnamese coffee we all know and love, topped with a cookie butter cold foam and a light dusting of lotus cookie crumbs. My only wish? More crumbs! The coffee itself doesn't seem to have any added flavoring beyond the classic Vietnamese brew, so that first sip tastes nearly identical to the original. To really get the cookie butter experience, you'll want to stir that foam in well, once you do, it does add a nice flavor boost. Still, nothing that'll blow your mind. That said, I'd absolutely order it again, because let's be honest, Vietnamese coffee is a win no matter what. As for the location, it's decent. The tables could use some attention, and there was a bit of an unpleasant smell, though to be fair, there's a noticeable homeless population in the area outside, which may have been a factor. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered a regular size cookie crumble coffee for $6.99 and had it in hand within five minutes. Can't complain about that!

I stumbled across pho byob because of a tiktok and I knew it was gonna slap because of the song choice. The owner was really nice, it was my first time and he told me you order upfront and you build your own pho. For pho with one choice of meat it's $15. I got the meat ball (bo vien) pho. First thing I tried was the soup and it was very homey. The owner also gave me complimentary passion fruit juice. It was super tasty, a little on the sweet side but still yummy. The restaurant itself is very cute. I love the decor and there was a wall of Vietnam. Parking is $3 cash valet or you can try to find street parking. It's right next to stagger. Since I usually charge at night, I'd never been able to visit during business hours. Today, my family and I decided to charge the EV during the day and grab a bite while we waited. Because I typically charge for no more than 30 minutes, we came in with a sense of urgency--dine in, eat well, and head out. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The decor had a clean, minimalist "Japandi" vibe--where Japanese elegance meets Scandinavian simplicity. It created a calm, inviting atmosphere. We were greeted by a friendly cashier who took the time to explain their simple yet highly customizable menu. We ordered the brisket beef pho combo with passion fruit juice, and a brisket pho salad with thick noodles. Both dishes arrived promptly and were beautifully presented. Pho Byob features a self-serve station for utensils, sauces, and garnishes, which added to the convenience. The flavors were solid--on par with many pho spots we've tried before. The broth was rich and satisfying, and the portion sizes were just right. I especially enjoyed the pho salad; it was fresh, and the thick noodles added a satisfying texture that elevated the dish. The passion fruit juice was delicious--so much so that we found ourselves wishing for a refill. It's clear this place pays attention to every detail, from the food to the decor--even the bathroom, which was simple yet elegant in design. If you're charging your EV during their business hours, I highly recommend stopping by. You'll enjoy a fulfilling meal and likely leave satisfied just in time for your EV to be fully charged and ready to go.
