Best Japanese Food I've Had Ever! I grew up around the area so this was definitely a spot I got accustomed to because it's a good price, good size & very good in flavor in general. You don't even have to go crazy with the noodles....just go with the Plain Noodles & Add Soy Sauce & Sriracha Once It's Out Of The Pan. There beef broccoli has GREAT FLAVOR && Their Broccoli is CRUNCHY! Never Overcooked, Which For Me Is A HUGE PLUSSSSSS! read more

After China Gate across the shopping center kinda fell off I tried this place and it was hands down the best almond chicken and rice I had ever had. Since then I've tried coming back but they're always closed. Even today, closing was supposed to be @ 7 but they were closed before I got there ( 6pm). Super annoying. read more

My first time trying this location was honestly based off reviews which were 4 star reviews at the time. Every single time I came out of the grocery story in the same parking structure was always tempted to try when I finally did I ordered I hefty amount of food 4 plates to be exact and when I heard my total I was flabbergasted. None the less I didn't let that cloud my judgement. When I got home to try out food was not what was all hyped to be or expected, no flavor super dry and chewy. Was definitely that last time I ever went and definitely took away the " antajo " of ever going again. I recommend Yin-han hippiya read more

Came back to Meat Bowl while in the area, and it's better than I remember. I used to frequent this spot growing up in South Gate and have been looking for a location that offers delicious noodles, vegetables, and teriyaki chicken.... Found it.. the guy at the register is super helpful, super friendly. Small place, but very clean and super fast service.... Please give this place a try so they can continue to be open for years to come. :) 10/10 would definitely recommend. read more

Food is always really good I do recommend this place if you're willing to pay a little for more for a new mate of Chinese take out. I agree the portions could be a little bigger considering you're paying almost $17-20 dollars for a single plate but if you're willing to spurge a little you won't mind. read more

It curbs your Chinese food appetite. The veggies, proteins, and rice are always on point. The noodles are bomb! The prices are but high but you get good portions. It's a cook spot! read more

Delicious place. I got the number 12 and it was really good. It's definitely a hole in the wall. Not a place to dine but more of a casual pick up spot. There are some seatings available if you'd like. Service was also quick. If you want to get food fast this is the spot. read more

Defiantly a hidden gem in the city of Huntington Park food is absolutely delicious! I've grow up coming to this place since I was a child. The food defiantly smells and tastes just as good if not better how I recall it. Unfortunately no more hot sizzling hot plates as they once served for dinning in. Service here is friendly and speedy fast once I walked in and ordered it was not even a minute before I sat down to wait that my order was complete and ready definitely have to acknowledge that. Price is a bit high but believe me once your taste buds get a taste is all worth it especially for the amount of food you are getting. So if you are in the mood for some delicious noodles, stir fry or a vegetarian meal I recommend you try this place out you won't be disappointed. read more

Meat Bowl - AA- Peking fried rice - Chinese Near Me - South Gate, California

It was a really good bowl. I opted to go with the shrimp bowl. Only complaint it was not enough shrimp.

I've been coming to Meat bowl for 20 years plus. Unfortunately it is not the same. I miss the owners. The food used to be so good. My family and I would always go every Friday for fresh Chinese food. Today we went and the recipe and the quality is not the same. The number 9 didn't taste the same and the meat was hard and chewy. read more

I came here yesterday and was just disappointed my father and mother used to come here for over 30 years and it was so delicious and now it does not taste the same one bite and I knew the food was different I won't be coming here anymore due to the food not tasting the same and also the customer service they had terrible attitudes and I drove an hour and a half for this because of the history we had with this restaurant but nope never again the old owners aren't here anymore and won't be supporting this place anymore especially with the experience I had the food just tasted raw and gross read more

I used to love this place. Not sure if it's still under the same owners but the cooks are definitely not the same. So disappointed in this place now. I have been coming here for years and food was always great till now. I think there is a new cook (which is rude.) But for lunch today I got a chicken vegetable with noodles and the chicken looked and tasted raw. I went to go tell them and the cashier responded it was cause of the sauce. Another customer had also complained about the same issue. And they did absolutely nothing to resolve it. Didn't offer to replace it with anything else or apologize. The quality of food and service has gone down now that the owner is not there. read more

Very fresh and good food definitely try the chowmein that they make its supper yummy the flavors are just right

I was trying to have a healthyish lunch and decided to come to this local hole in the wall. I thought the portions were well served. The food is definitely fresh as they make it when you order it. The service was also quick. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl and it was good. The only thing I would change is the thickness of the teriyaki sauce. It was too thick for my liking but others might like it like that. My boyfriend ordered chicken noodles. He liked it just wished his chicken was a bit more crunchier. I will be coming back here when I am in this side of town. read more

As long as I can recall this has been my go to restaurant for noodles as they are my weakness. My father would always treat me for lunch after helping him out with the landscaping and I would always look forward to this rewarding treat. Now, I bring over close friends to check out this hidden gem. The place has expanded joint which is great since I recall back in the days how crowded this place used to get specially during lunch time. Freshly made food will have you coming back for more. This place is a hole in the wall great for the food but nothing extravagant or even casual as far as atmosphere and decor. Food is so delicious your surroundings will vanish for the moment. read more

First time trying this place. I checked my order and I was missing my noodles however i saw 4 huge egg rolls ( btw they looked really good) that I didn't order. Luckily I was in the parking lock so I went back and told the cook right by the entrance that I didn't order egg rolls but I was missing my noodles so he said " you didn't pay for the egg rolls but go ahead take them" I said nice but I am missing my noodles so he looks at the bag and reached out to take the egg rolls out!. He did misunderstood cuz he said oh I gave you egg rolls instead of noodles thats when he looked at the bag to take them out. I think he could have kept his word and let me keep the egg rolls for the inconvenience. We asked for just orange chicken (all orange chicken) the same thing for noodles. When I opened the plate it was half o.c and rice. It looked and taste like it was left over chicken from the day before. Also the beef sauce taste like burnt. We were completely dissatisfied given the 4.5 stars. I just finished eating and had to express my thoughts about this place. Never again. My personal opinion is that he should have gave me the missing item and still said sorry for inconvenience enjoy the egg rolls! read more

Nooooodles are bomb and the staff is bilingual, English and Spanish. Definitely try the chicken noodle.

Me and my family have been going to this restaurant for years, but now it's totally different the food does not taste the same. We got a DD and it was ok but the price went up I understand inflation but still over $20 then the beef broccoli taste burnt. We didn't even try to return it the staff seemed dismissive anyways. Sad that our favorite restaurants are being closed or just don't taste the same. read more
