He's pretty picky when it comes to this dish, as most places make it different where they caramelize the meat with tons of sauce. However, he loved how this place made it right where it's not caramelize and flooded with sauce. 2. Bun rieu - on point! I love the flavor!! 3. Thai tea - some places just don't have the right kick, well this one was perfect. Location is near his work, so it's a bonus for me to drive there and have lunch with him. Pho An is alright. I have no real complaint but I doubt that I or my spouse will be back.. I had gone there many years ago. I think it is under ownership because of a more snazzy layout. I never went back until my spouse said, "Let's try the Pho place down the street" (from where we work). I did like the egg rolls best. The pho was OK but lacked any distinctive flavor. I am used to above average pho at a couple of other places. It is good to branch out once in a while. We did, glad we did, now we can go back to our favorites without second guessing ourselves as to whether the grass is greener ... euphemistically speaking. Drop in, give them a try. They may be exactly what you're looking for. The people were polite, clean, and efficient. The food was served quickly. There is no complaint coming from this quarter. Hallelujah!!!!!! I have finally found a place that sells all 3 of my favorite Vietnamese soup dishes! I had the duck and bamboo vermicelli only once before in Houston and I have always wanted to eat it again. After getting the recommendation for this place, and seeing that they also has Bun Rieu and BBH, I had to come here and order all 3! I always feel that take out never tastes as good as it does in the restaurants for obvious reasons. Having established that, these 3 soup were still very good when I had them at home. Both the Bun Rieu and BBH were just packed full of flavor and they are definitely not cheap with their ingredients. I will definitely be coming back here! read more

Not sure what happened to Pho Long but this location is now called Pho An. I was tricked by the sign because it looks like how the Pho Long sign did. I used to only eat the bbh at Pho Long. Pho An's version's not bad. Not as spicy as Long's and does seem greasier but it's still not bad. I think it's number 62. read more

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and were literally the only customers there. The location seems to be in more of an industrial area and perhaps that led to the lack of people. That of course, meant that parking was easy and the staff was eager to serve us. By the time we left, there were a few more tables and some to-go orders, but not much. The pho here is average. I felt that the broth was not as flavorful as other places in the area, but the size of portion was good. We were able to get the large and share with our kids out of that bowls as we usually do at their age. The goi coun was made with care and was pretty good. This is my go to pho place. I don't know how widely known this is, but Richardson has some of the the best Vietnamese places and this is one of them. I like how this place offers different types of noodle including pho which is what most know it for. They also have egg noodle in pork broth which is fantastic! The broth taste a bit more stronger in my opinion than the pho broth and the noodle is so nice and springy. I would recommend any of the hu tieu noodle set (egg noodle or combo rice and egg noodle over pork broth). Their pho is solid and their ice coffee is consistently yum. The egg rolls are good - I feel like the filling could be more richer with meat though. My only gripe: who is that young employee playing Senorita by Camilla cabello on repeat the entire time we were there !!!! There are paying customers in the restaurant (at that time only us but still) and I had to listen to that song the entire time there- it ruin the pho experience for me. I usually go to Pho Tay Do for bun bo hue (thanks, Internet), and while I'm not saying that this knocks Pho Tay Do out of the water, I did reaaaally like it, probably just as much. All around a good place for Vietnamese food, especially for bun bo hue! If you want all the good stuff in it like the blood cubes and pork feet, you need to make sure to tell the waiter because they might skip on it. Their pho is just okay though, they put plenty of meat but the broth is just average, not bad. They also sell bun rieu here as well which is not too commonly seen in Vietnamese restaurants around DFW along with bun no hue. We've had a good few bowls, but I can't get over how yummy the bun bo hue is here!!! A regular size is plenty & full of flavor! Not too oily or heavy, and sooo soul soothing! The pho broth is also very authentic and light, but has great flavor! Their chili oil has a great kick to it so you're not having to do multiple scoops to get your desired spice! The effort to make bun rieu at home is just too much when you're craving a bowl and you want it right then and there, but finding a place that actually makes it half decent is also very difficult. Well, now I've found my place that will fix those cravings. As far as the other dishes, the bun bo hue is good. Not the best, but enough to satisfy cravings. The pho is meh, I'd still rather go to Pho Bang because they got their broth down to a science. Their service is seriously lacking and they even added extra tip on my credit card once so beware!! I've recently relocated from DC and was pleased to find so many options for Vietnamese just down the street from my new home! I ordered the fresh spring rolls (#2) and a small pho with eye of round (#14). The spring rolls were delicious, and the peanut sauce was bomb (I'd like to bottle it and take it home with me). On Bun Rieu alone, this place is the best in Dallas by far. I had ordered a regular sized Bun Rieu with an iced coffee to go and their portions are huge! Ordering is a breeze with great descriptions and an easy to navigate menu. This place was previously Pho Mac then Got Pho. Both failed miserably. Decided to try Bun Bo Hue since they advertised as their specialty. It was pretty good but not quite up there with pho Tay Do. Excellent Vietnamese restaurant. Came by for lunch with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised at how good Pho An was. Their menu is quite simple with Pho as their main specialty along with rice dishes and curry stews. On this day, I had their rice plate with pork chop and thought it was excellent. The pork was extremely flavorful with the portion size hard to beat. My wife had their beef Pho that comes with 2 egg rolls as advertised as their lunch special. I tried their Pho too and it was also very good. Every dish was around 7-10$ which was very reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. My only complaint was the food did took a bit of time to come out but it was a busy lunch for them and they did apologize for the delay. That's a thumbs up for me. read more
