I just have to say, I don't know if it was because I was starving but today's pho broth was amazingly delicious. It's very rare to find a place where the broth is so good that you don't even want to put other condiments/sauces in to tweak the flavor. I come here a lot within the last 10 years and it has its first ups before the new name change/or ownership, and then of course downs, however, today has left the impression of when it first started its rise in this community. This 5 star is for the chicken pho, shrimp and pork spring rolls are mediocre, they all just the same. Tho I do have to say their wrap was soft and not hard like some places. That's when you know it's fresh. The pork inside didn't taste that great. Next time I'll stick with just the shrimp spring rolls. Ps the service has been up to par as of late. I wanted to be the first to review....... oh well... Their temporary sign says under new management but it is new owners as well. This used to be Hoa Pho Bac Viet or something like that, could never remember the name. The menu is the same with a few additions so you can get what you used to order if you want. My husband was bummed that the menu was not in color because he likes to look at the pics but I could care less because I am a Vietnamese fan and know exactly what I want and like. I ordered my favorite pho which is with all tendon. It is not on the menu with all tendon but they were happy to accomodate. OH my it was sooooo very good. Better than ever in fact! Lots of rice noodles and a ton of tendon which is a real treat for me. The broth was superbly flavored and rich the way I like it. To top it off and VERY important was the service was top notch. We received our water and were able to order right away and the food came out very quickly as well. Since we come on our lunch hour this is so important to us. Welcome Pho ABC! First off, I think the name of this restaurant is lame. Pho ABC? Really? You are better than that! However, this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in town. So when I am craving rare beef and noodle soup- I guess I will be coming here. My wife and I decided to eat here for lunch yesterday to see how this place stacks up against our favorite spots in Las Vegas. I have mixed feelings about my experience at Pho ABC which is why I am rating this place 3 stars. Here are the positives: 1. Our food came out fast considering the place was really busy.( Within 15 minutes of ordering!) This is important when you only have an hour for your lunch break. 2. The flavor of the broth on my # 7 soup was on point. I just added a little splash of sriracha to heat things up! 3, The portions are substantial and their prices are very reasonable. In fact, our bill came out to a little under $19.00 for two lunches and a soft drink. Unfortunately, here are the negatives: 1. Quality control-- The chicken in my wife's chicken and broccoli dish was a little fatty and rubbery. The broccoli was cut into all different shapes and sizes. This is a pet peeve of mine. Some pieces were bite size while others were too big to bite and needed to be cut a few times. Spend a few extra minutes on presentation! 2. Customer service was lacking. After we placed our order, no one checked on us at all. I had to stick my leg out and trip a server just to get a refill on my soda. Bottom line, the food tasted pretty good but the quality of meat was marginal at best. I would like to see this place use better ingredients -even if it meant I had to pay a little more for my lunch. We were visiting Folsom area and decided on trying this place. I have to say the food exceeded my expectations. Everything was fresh and the sweet and sour pork I have to say was delicious. The pineapple in the dish was so good and the sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Kung pao chicken has fresh mushrooms and vegetables, so delicious. Came in around 7:30pm Friday. The restaurant was crowd but the staff was able to clear & gave us the table right away. They now use electronics to order foods, fancier now, compared to my last visited. Ordered spring rolls & coconut shakes. Ordered the vermicelli rice noodle with chicken & egg rolls. The foods and drink came out fast. Didn't get to finish the appetizer before the main course came, cannot complain here. The meat portion has reduced while veggies & noodle have increased. I went to lunch here with a co worker and was pleasantly amazed by the quality of food and quick customer service. We arrived around 11:40am and were quickly seated. The menu was extensive, but there are detailed descriptions for everything on the menu as well as photos. We received our food within 10 minutes of ordering and the portion sizes are huge!!! I ordered wonton soup ($7) and the spring roll appetizer ($5) and the meal could of easily fed two people. The food tasted as authentic as I know, but I'm not an expert in Vietnamese food. By 12:05pm the restaurant was PACKED, but the staff was able to quickly seat people. I saw a large table being shared by two different parties, but neither party seemed to care. Bottom line: Come here for a quick, inexpensive lunch, but come early to avoid the lunch rush. read more

I don't know how this place has such a good reviews. I ordered the spicy lemon grass Pho. It didn't say anything about having spam and beef liver inside of it. It was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it had been marinating in months old meat. Tons of spam in it, and beef liver absolutely horrid. I honestly pulled out tons of meat particles that I had no idea what animal they came from. I am actually pretty adventurous and eat all kinds of different things. I am not a peanut butter and jelly type of person. But this was a whole different level. It was like they threw the scraps of what they had left over into a broth and called it lemongrass pho. Absolutely terrible. Nevertheless, I paid my bill and tipped 20% as there's no point of arguing with the staff an owners. I just will not be going back again, and I want everyone else to know that there's seriously disgusting mystery meat in the soup!!!!!! My coworkers and I ordered take out food for work. There was just 4 meals and a coffee drink so not a huge order to mess up. When called to order we asked for extra container to mix our soup since we don't have bowls at work and they said no problem. When we picked up the order, lady said that they don't have any more containers and can't give us an extra container as promised and our drink was charged but never given. Disappointed 2 stars off The only reason 3 stars was given was for the food! The food was actually really good. Maybe next time we will only dine in and never carry out. read more

This is my go-to recovery food after a long night! All around good Vietnamese food. Maybe not the best pho broth in this area, but it's very consistent and still really good. Pho Tai Nam is my personal favorite in small size. Never ever order large, stomach can't handle that much! My husband orders the large frequently but he is usually stuffed after his meal. Customer service is excellent and great for big parties. I came here two days in a row with my sis and her kids and they were all so respectful and kind to us! Love the spring rolls (chicken or shrimp) and their peanut sauce is fantastic. I usually rate the quality of their pho by their broth and this place is pretty darn good! We tried this place for the first time tonight. We ordered shrimp spring rolls, #29 won ton pho, and a #59 basically everything in a bowl lol, and two Thai tea's (one without cream). The service was amazing, fast, and the staff was wonderful! The shrimp spring rolls were kind of tasteless, and the peanut sauce was a bit sweet for my liking. But I want to try the pork ones!!
