I wanted to be the first to review....... oh well... Their temporary sign says under new management but it is new owners as well. This used to be Hoa Pho Bac Viet or something like that, could never remember the name. The menu is the same with a few additions so you can get what you used to order if you want. My husband was bummed that the menu was not in color because he likes to look at the pics but I could care less because I am a Vietnamese fan and know exactly what I want and like. I ordered my favorite pho which is with all tendon. It is not on the menu with all tendon but they were happy to accomodate. OH my it was sooooo very good. Better than ever in fact! Lots of rice noodles and a ton of tendon which is a real treat for me. The broth was superbly flavored and rich the way I like it. To top it off and VERY important was the service was top notch. We received our water and were able to order right away and the food came out very quickly as well. Since we come on our lunch hour this is so important to us. Welcome Pho ABC! I am sure you will do very well here. My only suggestion is that you keep up with the quality and the excellent service and you will see us often! read more

Place forgot my daughters soup. Then they tried to run my card for 109 dollars and something cents when it wasn't our order, and they apologized and took off one of the two bubble tea drinks as a discount. Also the floors are all so slippery. Besides that the pho is really yummy, and huge servings. The orange chicken is good!!! read more

First off, I think the name of this restaurant is lame. Pho ABC? Really? You are better than that! However, this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in town. So when I am craving rare beef and noodle soup- I guess I will be coming here. My wife and I decided to eat here for lunch yesterday to see how this place stacks up against our favorite spots in Las Vegas. I have mixed feelings about my experience at Pho ABC which is why I am rating this place 3 stars. Here are the positives: 1. Our food came out fast considering the place was really busy.( Within 15 minutes of ordering!) This is important when you only have an hour for your lunch break. 2. The flavor of the broth on my # 7 soup was on point. I just added a little splash of sriracha to heat things up! 3, The portions are substantial and their prices are very reasonable. In fact, our bill came out to a little under $19.00 for two lunches and a soft drink. Unfortunately, here are the negatives: 1. Quality control-- The chicken in my wife's chicken and broccoli dish was a little fatty and rubbery. The broccoli was cut into all different shapes and sizes. This is a pet peeve of mine. Some pieces were bite size while others were too big to bite and needed to be cut a few times. Spend a few extra minutes on presentation! 2. Customer service was lacking. After we placed our order, no one checked on us at all. I had to stick my leg out and trip a server just to get a refill on my soda. Bottom line, the food tasted pretty good but the quality of meat was marginal at best. I would like to see this place use better ingredients -even if it meant I had to pay a little more for my lunch. Came in around 7:30pm Friday. The restaurant was crowd but the staff was able to clear & gave us the table right away. They now use electronics to order foods, fancier now, compared to my last visited. Ordered spring rolls & coconut shakes. Ordered the vermicelli rice noodle with chicken & egg rolls. The foods and drink came out fast. Didn't get to finish the appetizer before the main course came, cannot complain here. The meat portion has reduced while veggies & noodle have increased. I went to lunch here with a co worker and was pleasantly amazed by the quality of food and quick customer service. We arrived around 11:40am and were quickly seated. The menu was extensive, but there are detailed descriptions for everything on the menu as well as photos. We received our food within 10 minutes of ordering and the portion sizes are huge!!! I ordered wonton soup ($7) and the spring roll appetizer ($5) and the meal could of easily fed two people. The food tasted as authentic as I know, but I'm not an expert in Vietnamese food. By 12:05pm the restaurant was PACKED, but the staff was able to quickly seat people. I saw a large table being shared by two different parties, but neither party seemed to care. Bottom line: Come here for a quick, inexpensive lunch, but come early to avoid the lunch rush. read more

Definitely a great Vietnamese food experience. I love their Vemacelli Salad with pork and Beef pho, as well as a couple of other dishes. Usually, it's a very hearty serving and I have leftovers for lunch the next day. Sometimes the service/staff is a bit hit or miss, and not always the most accurate or friendly, but if we are not in the mood for a gamble, we just grab some food to go. Sometimes their hours are not consistent and they are closed when their hours posted claim to be open. Except for those inconsistencies, the food is great and worth it. read more

I had high expectations based on the overall 4 star rating of this place but then I grew up and spent my entire life in San Francisco until I retired a year ago, so I admit to being spoiled when it comes to food. The food we ordered from here was fine, but nothing that would make it our GO TO place when we crave Vietnamese food. Ordered the Banh Mi (Beef) for the hubby - flavors of all the ingredients was fine but very skimpy on the meat (just one layer and then the rest was basically the French roll and veggies). Ordered the Vegetable Pho for myself - flavor of broth was also fine, but tasted like there was MSG and though I like a little crunch left to my vegetables they were basically raw so I ended up having to cook them on my stovetop. read more

Pho Tai Nam is my personal favorite in small size. Never ever order large, stomach can't handle that much! My husband orders the large frequently but he is usually stuffed after his meal. Customer service is excellent and great for big parties. I came here two days in a row with my sis and her kids and they were all so respectful and kind to us! Love the spring rolls (chicken or shrimp) and their peanut sauce is fantastic. I usually rate the quality of their pho by their broth and this place is pretty darn good! Love coming here and plan to frequent this place many more times in the future! FYI their Vietnamese iced coffee is bomb! So cheap and so good! read more

This is probably one of the best noodle soups I've ever had and coming from the Bay Area that's saying a lot. The chow mein was just okay- nothing great. Quick service and super affordable. Place is very clean and they have a great assortment of spices and sauces. read more

So disappointed with my first experience eating pho. Restaurant is dirty and ticky-tacky. We started with shrimp spring rolls that tasted okay if you like lots of lettuce and rolled loose. I ordered the beef with carrots and told the waiter NO BOK CHOY because I'm allergic. Pho came out loaded with bok choy, and the meat was tough and fatty. Obviously our server wasn't paying attention when I asked for no bok choy. Husband ordered a beef pho and commented on the rubbery meat balls and weird looking tendons. Cheap meal represented by the poor quality of the ingredients. Will definitely not come here again. read more

Been eating Vietnamese food for many years while working in Silicon Valley. I have been at Pho ABC in Folsom twice now and wanted to allow the 2nd visit to average out my review. Here is my experience from twice ordering the Com suon nuong #55: 1. The amount of meat is plentiful and flavor is over done. The meat was somewhat chewy. Salad was fresh, fish sauce was good, condiments at table were really used up and container look unkept. 2. The silverware readily available at the table was old and knife handle was porous and appeared to have inadequate cleaning. 3. The plastic chopsticks at the table had food from prior quest on a few of them near the handle - appears that someone started eating went to grab two of them after touching their food [ewww]. 4. I went to the bathroom twice and did notice the floors leading into kitchen and in general in the back are really dirty. 5. Black bins that gather dirty dishes looked highly used and old. The restaurant has many quest and I see the ratings are really good at (4) stars so possibly I am a little over critical. If I had a suggestion to management, I would say replace silverware and do not allow plastic chopsticks to stay at table in bundles for guests to grab - include them when someone asks for them. Meanwhile the floors and back area where guest go use the facilities really need a make-over! read more

Ate here for the first time today to get my Vietnamese fix...and some of that crazy delish iced coffee. The interior was inviting, clean, and the staff were attentive. I had the #52 with beef, shrimp and egg rolls. My food came out quickly! I judge a good Vietnamese restaurant by this dish alone, and this place makes a great one! I also judge by their fish sauce, and theirs is pretty good! The egg rolls, well I've never had bad Vietnamese egg rolls! The coffee hit the spot...I needed a good jolt to get me through the rest of my awaiting training class after lunch. If you've never indulged in Vietnamese coffee, you have to try it! The sweetened, condensed milk makes it taste just like coffee candy! I was pleasantly surprised and will come back when I'm in the area! read more
