We came on a Saturday afternoon, and was seated right away. There is no AC, but they do have ceiling fans. Our server was kind, letting us know know where to sit so we can get the fan, and he was quite funny as well! We ordered the #1, Special Combo Pho and the egg rolls. The pho was good--savory broth, not sweet, noodles were soft, chewy, semi-sticky and had a nice texture to it. The meat was not that soft or tender, but overall, I am satisfied with this pho place. Eggrolls were delicious--packed with meat, noodles and some veggies. Definitely eat this with the sauce as well! Sauce is salty and savory, and goes well with the eggrolls. Overall, if you do prefer non-sweet pho, I would recommend this place. I am very satisfied, and would definitely come back for the pho!

Every time I go to Pho 99 I am always greeted with a welcome and they straight away help us. They always check up on you if you need anything else which is really thoughtful. I've tried other places and they just do not satisfy my taste. The broth is absolutely so goodddddd!!!! Ofc you can add stuff on it and let's just say even without anything it's so good. Oh and did I mention the egg rolls are really delicious too. They also have boba this is my go to spot for every weekend so if you are a person who goes for taste and loves delicious things this is THE spot!

Hot or cold can't get enough of this pho a must have for any ocasión and their bobas hit the spot for the summer

Love the pho here! Always taste good, tendon is always soft, and service is great. The broth isn't oily so the flavor sticks to the noodles as you're eating, is more savory than sweet which I prefer, and tastes amazing with lime and spice.

Stopped by Pho 99 in Fresno after visiting Sequoia National Park. The restaurant environment was decent, but the food was a letdown. I ordered my go-to, Bún Bò Huế, and it was really disappointing--noodles were overcooked and broken, broth was bland and not hot enough, and the bean sprouts and chili added later were still raw. The stir-fried noodles were freshly made and tasted okay, though on the sweeter side. Prices are reasonable, but overall experience wasn't good. Won't be coming back or recommending it.

This has been our family's go-to for pho for 25 years. It's where my (19 y/o) daughter first remembers using chopsticks and first getting a boba drink -- before boba places were a "thing." So many good memories here and it hasn't changed a bit in 25 years. They do take cards now (for many years they were cash only) but there's no option to add a tip so if you use a card be sure you have a cash tip for the table. The menu is what you might expect -- a lot of pho options. I usually get a small number 11 (lean flank). It's very consistent and unless you are very big and very hungry, a size small is good for just about anyone. The pho comes with a plate of veggies to add to your soup (bean sprouts, jalapeño slices, lime wedges, plenty of basil) and the table is set up with sriracha, hoisin sauce and peanuts. We love the pho. The broth is very consistent and flavorful and the noodles are always great. The meat can be a bit hot or miss (last night it was almost all fat and very little meat, which is not what you expect from "lean flank" but I'm not getting the pho for the meat). My husband when he's not in a soup mood often gets the ginger chicken. Very flavorful and gingery with lots of chicken and onions. For a drink I often get the "soda lemonade" (made with limes) and it's very light, sweet, and refreshing. My daughter gets her old standby the green boba drink. We forget what it's called but there's a picture of it on the menu. It almost tastes like bubble gum flavor but not quite -- there's a fruity flavor in there too. Last night we also got an order of the egg rolls. Crispy and delicious and we love the sweet-spicy dipping sauce; but you've gotta let those things cool before you try to eat them. They come fresh out of the deep fryer to the table. Anyway, we love Pho 99! It's got a very casual ambiance and run by nice people!

Still my favorite pho spot! It's not in the best area, however, so I kinda get iffy coming here. Parking has also gotten more difficult to find with some new restaurants opening up around here. I haven't been here in 4 years and the waitress still remembered me! Interestingly enough, the place hasn't changed at all. The food comes out quick, hot, delicious. Also love how we could add peanuts to the pho... it just goes so well with the broth. Although prices seem to have gone up, it's still reasonably priced at less than $11 for a small seafood pho. Fresno is lucky to have this pho restaurant!

Large chicken pho with extra chicken and shrimp spring rolls ordered with extra peanut sauce. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Shortly later, I went in to get it. Workers are masked. Clean, safe and practiced. The order wasn't ready yet and it had been over 20 minutes. It was almost ready. I only waited a couple more minutes and the worker handed it over along with well wishes! Lunchtime! Order split. The chicken pho was no good! The pho broth was just water. No sprouts and no extra chicken included, like asked. Tiny litter pieces of chicken. Definitely needs more flavor, but it did include fresh jalapeños. That was good. The spring roll was pretty good, thankfully. Fresh and tasty. They included the extra peanut sauce asked for and it was good. Mother said hers was alright. She said instead of getting the large pho, like asked, it was definitely a small. She was disappointed there wasn't sprouts. We've never had pho without sprouts before. Just plain. Plus, paying more for extra chicken that we didn't get wasn't right. No effort. Unimpressive when it comes to the pho =/ She did like the spring roll with peanut sauce too! Disappointing. Don't like giving bad reviews, but at least the spring roll with peanut sauce was good!

Combo #1 is the one closest to the camera. I forgot which toppings were in the other two bowls.

Paired with the bread this was a very comforting and delicious dish. The Nam Nuong rolls were good. Good portion of fillings and great crunchiness of the eggrolls wrappers and thick cut of the nam Nuong pork. I was only disappointed in the sauce. It was good but lacking depth of flavors. I think my expectation was it go be like the ones at Brodard's. And it wasn't. Located in the back corner, it can be a little hard to find parking if it gets busy but there is also the side parking lot. There was a wait list but we waited in line at the to go counter to ask to be seated. We were given our water and ordered. Once the food was dropped off we weren't checked up on again but this didn't bother us and you pay at the counter afterwards. The place had a lot of seatings with some seatings outside. There were tv playing Vietnamese food channels that was cool. I didn't get anything from their huge options of drinks and Che this time though. Looking forward to doing so next time. If you haven't tried this place, I would highly recommend their Vietnamese sandwiches with extra pate and butter.

You'll then have to wait to be seated at the register. I think this set-up is kind of awkward but hey, at least they have cute sidewalk seating. There are plenty of tables and long benches to sit at and the restaurant itself feels clean and well-lit! The staff are super helpful also. Tried the House Special Beef Pho and it was pretty tasty! You do have the option to order your dish with regular thin noodles, flat noodles, or egg noodles. The broth is basil-y and the flavor has great depth. They have a self-serve station for condiments where you can grab some chili oil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime. My favorite thing about this restaurant is that I don't feel too bloated after eating here (compared to other pho restaurants). Been enjoying this restaurant and eating here at least once a week!

My memory is shot. I don't want to be handing out 5 stars so easily but I think they deserve it. The restaurant is very clean, and I love the little Asian lanterns they have, all different, above each table. Plenty of seating. When we got there (a little after 5), there was only one other table occupied... by the time we left (6:30), every table was nearly taken. Our waitress, as well as the other on the floor, were both very welcoming and friendly. They handled the service remarkably as a team. The fact that they were a packed house and still were very attentive with us, checking how we're doing, checking on our water refills... these are the little things I appreciate most (and, of course, good food). I got the Pho with the Fatty Brisket, my friend got just the Steak Pho. They have a bar against the wall with all garnishes you may need to grab what you'd like. This is pretty smart... It saves them from waste. Instead of giving people items they may not use-- they would just grab what they'd like themselves. My friend grabbed her goodies, I prefer mine as is. To me, if your broth is good and doesn't require me to flavor it... I'll eat it just like that (unless I feel like adding spice). I've only ever been to a few other Pho places where I had to season up the broth myself...definite no no for them. All my friends who have gone out to eat Pho with me know I eat it just how I get it. Pho from my Mama is a different story though... I put the works (not because it's not flavorful) but, it's just different. Moving on... They also have a Teazona in their establishment. I've tried a few different drinks in the past but came to regularly deciding on the Tiramisu Milk Tea (no flan for me, light boba). Make sure to shake it well. You can also let them know your preference on the level of sweetness. We both got this tonight and it nearly tipped me over on the full scale. Couldn't finish it. Everything was really good though. Pho was the perfect choice for this weird, gloomy weather we've been having. The price is a bit up there but that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays. But-- for the portion, the quality, and the service? Worth it.

Ordered pork chop, hot tea and pho with marrow which I have already reviewed. Pork chop and sauce is a number two seller directly behind the pho. When I want a pork chop, I want it moist, and the fat crispy and salted and seasoned well. This hit every single mark! I normally care that I am in a restaurant and don't chew on bones. I did not have one care in the world and picked up my pork chop bone and chewed every single crispy morsel of caramelized goodness from that bone. The sauce that accompanies the pork, rice and egg was slightly sweet and was the perfect balance to dip rice and pork into! It was light and bright and enhanced the flavors not overpowering them. The egg. It is surprising how many places can't cook an egg where the yolks natural fatty goodness isn't overcooked. I busted the yolk and let it drip all over my rice mixing it in to give the perfect amount of salt and fat mixed with the swing pork and sauce! It was a perfectly delicate bite filled with different textures! I will definitely order this again! The hot tea is made with natural herbs in it and not a cheap paper tea bag like other places. I had plenty of leftover for the next day and the day after! The broth was delicious with deep rich flavors and the noodles were slightly al dente, which I loved. I couldn't help myself and active point picked up my bowl and just started sipping the broth. My wife ordered the same thing as I, minus the meatballs and she too, could not get over how much flavor the broth had, almost like they had been slow cooking this for the past three days straight. The spring rolls were 100% handmade and the filling inside was delicious. We did bring our kids with us and we're definitely nervous because they are very picky eaters.
