My go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the area! I went on vacay to Vietnam recently, and that pretty much will make me a harsh critic of Vietnamese food for the rest of my life, lol, but this place is still really good! First of all, as far as decor goes, this is aesthetically a nice restaurant, and is always packed, so expect a tiny bit of a wait. I've tried various kinds of their pho, vermicelli, and rice plates, all of which have been delicious! My go to is usually the pho bo with tendon & tripe, or the shrimp & spring roll vermicelli. I've yet to try their banh mi, partly because I don't think anything will compare to the ones I had in Vietnam, lol (but I'm sure their banh mi is good as well, lol). As far as parking goes, the parking lot is pretty big, so that usually isn't a problem. Service is always good. That's it for now, I'll be back in the near future! read more

There's a reason why they are Pho #1! Their broth is amazing!!! One of the best I've had in Vallejo. It's not salty it's not too sweet it's just right! My middle name is Goldilocks! Now I can only speak on the Pho Ga, but I was super satisfied with it. I also tried a bbq chicken and rice fish as that was delicious too!! I removed one star for a bad experience. Called in an order and had a family member pick it up only to find out it was completely wrong. I called and they said they would make it right away. So I caught a pre-summer cold. You know the one where you can't stop blowing your nose and you just feel crappy overall. I didn't have much of an appetite but knew I needed something savory to warm up as I was having chills. The chicken pho did the job. The broth is delicious and the chicken is tender without being dry. I had it delivered as I didn't want to infect anyone and I was pleased. The one downside is also ordered shrimp spring rolls and was looking for forward to the freshness. Unfortunately I couldn't eat them as I have red meat allergies and my wife luckily discovered it before I had an adverse reaction. When I called to tell their staff, the employee chuckled a bit and said I could come in and get some without pork. I told her I was sick and it was the reason I paid an ungodly amount to door dash. She also didn't seemed too concerned that I could have gone into anaphylactic shock because they didn't advertise the rolls contained pork. This is will be my first and last time trying them. My classmates and I often come to Pho 1 for their pho and spring rolls. They have their own parking lot that is a little sketchy but I haven't had any major problems with the area yet other than a nice man asking for spare change. The service here is great and they let you use their wifi if you ask. The also have huge portion sizes for the price and often arrives to the table fast. The food is good but not great. I'm from LA though so I may be biased. However, it does satisfy my cravings! I was a little disappointed that they did not have fresh coconut water like how most Vietnamese restaurants do. Overall, it's not bad and won't mind coming back again. They even have a rewards program to collect stars and receive promotions. Not my first time being out since Covid, but first time being out alone since Covid. Phó 1 was near by and I gotta say getting Pho delivered just didn't stack up, It was a mess and never came out right. So I ventured out and tried Pho 1. Think I had the number 10 steak and brisket, fried spring rolls and a nice Sierra Nevada, idk why but you don't see a lot of Pho spots that serve beer or at least I haven't, so that was a nice surprise. Since I didn't see much evidence of beer service in the pictures. The broth was above average, along with hearty spring rolls. They also had everything needed to spice up how you like it. What I really liked about this place was the layout of the restaurant, also the service was quick, and didn't bother you while you ate. When I eat out alone, I don't need someone coming by to check on me to see how things are. Even with that the staff was still friendly. I'm glad to find a local spot to get my Pho on, while also exploring my little slice of The Bay. One of the many reasons I moved back here was to enjoy all the food options of CA had to offer, so it's about time I get to take advantage of it. read more

I usually eat here all time but today they have lost a customer. They got my order wrong when I called to let them know and ask for a refund they said I had to come back and swap it out. Upon arriving they tried to accuse me of eating the food already (when it was a full plate of food I returned back). Then proceeds to charge me the difference after I drove all the way back to the restaurant after they ruined my order. Never will I come back here. We came in around 10:30 on a Saturday and were seated right away. Good service. Spring rolls are not as expected but wrapper was light. We ordered: 1) #1 pho (flavorful broth); 2) beef stew w rice noodle (lots of different cuts of beef and you could see lemongrass); and 3) #15 pho (friend said it was liquid gold broth). Every time I order the lemongrass chicken its delicious, but 3/4 of the sauce is in the bottom of the bag. I always ask them to put it in a soup container, but they usually forget. I came here about 12.45 pm , it was fairly busy , lunch time, eh! Seated in 5 minutes, I ordered beef noodles combo for 12 dollars a small. That is very reasonable I would say , the pho was ok. My go to Pho spot when I'm in the area. Location is along a fairly busy main road and parking isn't an issue when coming in, it's when you're heading out (one way direction) and the oncoming traffic along with cars parked alongside the road create a blind spot and you wait a minute or two. Enough with that little matter. I've been to this business when it was located on the opposing side of the road tucked away in the plaza where CVS, E-Z driving school and the old tire center (no longer there now) , BK are at. Since relocating, it has made a vast improvement in space, cleanliness and quick, efficient though not always personal customer service. During peak hours and weekends it can get busy so upon walking in, there is a yellow notepad smack dab under a sign indicating to wait to be seated and placing your name along with how many in your party. I don't know how many times I've walked in followed by another party and they don't realize that it's there and are waiting to be seated. Granted, staff are looking out when potential patrons are walking in and immediately seating you but to be on the safe side, make note of your party especially when busy. My usual go to orders here are the Vietnamese coffee and Pho. Quite filling and plentiful for a small size, I must say the broth is not as aromatic and flavorful in comparison to other locations I've been to but in a pinch it'll do and I'm satisfied. They provide a good amount of the usual basil, bean sprouts and jalapeño I don't waste along with the hot and sweet sauces to customize heat intensity. My one slight disappointment is the coffee. Coffee is given to you in the 8 ounce coffee cups fully prepared and not the way of the French Press with condensed milk at the bottom of the heat tempered glass waiting to take sip as it drips away. Coffee is still not that bad though. Overall, a good spot for a quick fix for the usual fare of rice, noodle and soup choices. This place never disappoints. This is our favorite Pho spot in Vallejo. My husband and I always get the #14 on their pho menu. Very delicious broth, yummy noodles, and fresh basil, jalapeno, and sprouts to add. They have an awesome selection of smoothies as well that complement the spiciness we add to our pho. Their whole menu is super delicious. Plenty of parking space and seating. My husband and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. If you sign up for their rewards, you will get points for every dollar you spend that can be applied to future purchases. While the restaurant looks better than the old location, the food surprisingly got worse. I ordered the vermicelli and my friend ordered a rice plate. As we took our first bites, we were rather appalled by the fact that the food was worse than we remembered. The beef was extremely tough, there is less egg roll in the combo, and my bowl of vermicelli was extremely lacking in flavor. I actually had to add Sriracha sauce to my vermicelli for the first time... ever. The restaurant is much larger than the prior spot in the plaza, perhaps three times the size. However, there seems to be a larger fan base already as the restaurant was quite full and we had to wait about 15-20 minutes to be seated. Be sure to put down your name on their little notebook when you enter, or you might get skipped in waiting to be seated. Overall, this place could still be getting used to the new kitchen, so I hope that the food will improve. I may give this place a chance again in the future, but for now I think I will have to find a different shop for Pho. On a side note: Why is there a water fountain in here? read more

Very nice place to get pho. I have had their egg noodle chicken pho and the pork rice plate. Both were good. They sell sandwiches next door. I like the sandwiches but it has to be fresh. They only have small and large sizes for pho. The fried crab cake was a little on the greasy side but still good. I'd come back to try their other items. Place is nice and clean. Good Pho here! The price can't be beaten. This rating is based on the pho, not the other menu items which are average at best. Personally, I believe they should stick to, and master, Pho and nothing else. The simple broth is the best in town, perhaps the best in Solano County. The ingredients are cheap produce but mix well. I haven't tried many of their other dishes, but they look pretty solid as well. They're fairly priced and have a diverse menu. They're clean, and service is usually pretty quick! It's worth a visit if you're a Vallejo resident looking for a good cheap find, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for this place if you aren't already in town. Fast and friendly service, great food, and a modern ambiance at this great Vallejo pho spot. Came here for lunch on Sunday and it was bustling (not SF crowded) but clearly a popular lunch spot. The ambiance is modern and clean and the staff was friendly and speedy. I ordered the BBQ chicken w/ shrimp cake and sunny side up egg rice platter. My fiancé ordered tofu vermicelli bowl. We both loved our food. The BBQ chicken was moist, tender, and well seasoned. And the tofu vermicelli came with nice and fluffy noodles (not the kind that have been clumped together for days and come out all stuck together). The one thing I would like to see is more vegetarian options, currently the only two veg dishes were veggie pho and tofu vermicelli... Come on pho #1 you can do it! read more

1 star for service . Came in ordered a bowl of pho and a rice plate .mind you , when we eat pho we ALWAYS ask for a plate of onions on the side regardless if it's free or with a charge . So yesterday when we came in after asking for some plain sliced onions on the side , they gave us just some but it wasn't enough ( literally a few pieces ) so we ask for more and they said , oh it will be an extra charge and we said that's fine then the server came back and said they were out of onions !! Hahaha I just laugh and said really ok . Then another server came back and said " we are making more now " like ok . But the whole time we were there they never came back . Anyways I just thought it was funny for a pho house to run out of onions on a Saturday morning at 11am !!!. I guess this place has good reviews cuz in Vallejo it's not much pho houses out there vs going more towards oakland . First and last .
