Glad to have a new Pho place in the area. It will definately not dissapoint. My hubby and I came in Friday for lunch. It wasnt super packed. Since it nee it is very clean. Decor is very modern and cute. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. The menu is not huge. We ordered egg rolls, a 2 #3's with Steak & well done flank. When they brought us the sprouts and lemon there was a hair in it (ewww) and they quickly replaced it and brought us chicken wings on the house. The egg rolls were delish and super crispy and the wings were sooo good. I loved the sweet flavor and how crispy they were. Totally having both again. The Pho soup broth was yummy and fresh. The steak was brought in on its own plate which i loved. However the flank was way too fatty. It was hard to chew so we both ended up spooning it out. I ordered a coke and my hubby a beer but we were bummed to find out that they dont have a liquor licence yet. I came here for the pork and shrimp over rice and was extremely satisfied. There was a variety of food on this dish including a shrimp roll and fried egg! I also had the iced coffee and it didn't disappoint. Very flavorful food!!! The only thing I don't like is the fact that tables get cleaned with a strong cleaning solution while people are eating. I have recently discover Pho, and Pho #1 is the third spot that I have tried. When I came here, I was surprised by the modern atmosphere - because I had never been to another Pho spot like it! Now let's get to the food - I had the #2 Pho - and it was awesome. Coming from NY, this pho place was just alright. I came in with one friend at around 4pm, without eating anything all day. You could bet we were starving and so I had high hopes for the pho. But when it came, the broth was just not what I expected. It was WAY too salty, and so I couldn't really enjoy the pho too much. I was hungry so I ate it but I won't be going back. Fast place when you want pho quick. We went on a weekday night and there was no wait. We were given menus right away and water cake shortly after. An overly cheerful (in a good way) sever came to take our orders. Although they have pho here as their name suggests, there's also rice plates, other noodle options, and spring rolls for those in your group who don't want noodle soup. I got a regular size pho with rare steak and tendon with brisket. The portion size was perfect and there was a generous amount of meat. My husband liked his rice plate and my sister-in-law enjoyed her tofu spring rolls. I'm guessing they have a lot of guests unfamiliar with Vietnamese food because they got a fork and knife set for my husband (although to be fair you don't really eat rice plates with chopsticks) as well as pointing out the fish sauce to tell him it's not soup and not to drink it. I found this place on yelp and went there because of the high rating it received from the locals. When I arrived, there were a lot of people eating, another good sign. Great for gluten and soy free diet. Their vegetarian pho is also great. Haven't found anywhere else with such good vegetarian pho.

Just went here with my mom and little sister. The interior of this place is nice and they have brightly colored chairs. We sat at table #2 which was situated near the window. The place wasn't that busy only a couple of other people there. All three of us ordered a soup dish and I was kind of sad that they didn't have a lot of the choices other pho places have. So I just had to ask for some extras on the side. However their menu is nice and simple. The soup was missing some flavor in it but it's still pretty yummy. pretty good pho, portion is not impressive, blah blah blah. here is the thing. they have a TV here but it's for show. the boss doesn't like turning on the TV. it is often off, and if you ask for it, you'll get dismissed. East Side San Jose girls appreciate a good Pho, any time. I always try keep an open mind when it comes to Vietnamese noodle soup restaurants in other cities even though ESSJ truly is the best place to get some bomb ass Pho. I continue to be disappointed by the Pho places in any other area of the Bay :( I had my usual Pho Tai and from the first bite, I instantly wished I had just gone out for Ramen. Buuuurrrn. I recently started coming here and I love it! Not too salty, fresh, environment is clean, and it looks like its run by a family. Usually, customer services especially in asian restaurants are not great. But everyone here feels well taken care of and who can not smile when a grandma gives you water?? I wanted to write a review based on my experience yesterday where I ordered #23 for the first time (SO GOOD). There was a young man who was serving customers, and he accidentally spilled a bowl of pho down his pants and on the floor, and then he fell down hard again a few minutes later when he slipped in the wet area he just wiped. It just wasn't one of his days, but he totally brushed it off and continued serving efficiently. Went here about 9:45PM and service was excellent, let me start off by saying I haven't had pho in about 10 years because I just didn't like the taste or ingredients used in pho, but since my girlfriend was craving it I though to myself why not, let's give it a try. Service was fast and efficient, large Pho was large, really delicious broth, fine texture on the noodles, lots of meat. Open for take-out during Shelter in Place. Excellent hygiene protocols in sanitizing pens, credit cards, leaving your order for pick up on a table at a safe distance. But the food was fantastic. Really solid fresh spring rolls (Pork/shrimp, and pork only). Egg rolls in the Bun stayed crispy in the container, and great grilled pork. Light, crisp bread for the bun mee. They make their own home made shallot mayo! Flavorful lemongrass chicken with broken rice that had the perfect bite to it. Even the chow mein didn't disappoint-- flavorful and had generous meet and veg. Got it for the kids, hoovered by the adults. They were super understanding of the shellfish allergy in our group and appreciated the heads up. They seem to take great pride in their business and cuisine. I was going to give it one star but their pho is legit and the owner works hard I believe.the Asian lady with the blond hair today charged me extra so she can swipe my card. My total was 9.74. she charged me an extra 26 cents. If I was trying to win customers, this isn't how you do it. The machine accepts payments below this with no issues so the fact that they had to upcharge me is BS. Yes they are legally able to impose a $10 minimum but for customers who are cents away from this and upcharging is a first. Hilarious. read more
