Jalapeno Cheese Bagel

I stopped here after church and just to mention this location is one of my favorites. The location is near a whole foods and play ground so you would see families with their children and dogs come here often. Today I ordered the yuzu lemon tea which was so refreshing and has become a go to order. I also got the jalapeno cheese bagel which was scrumptious! The bagel was so soft and bready and was given a generous amount of cream cheese. I ordered the new caramel coconut drink for my mom to go and she adored it. I never am disappointed by Philz's menu.

THE BEST COFFEE I had that day! The coffee is incredibly tasty exactly what I needed. What made the experience stand out, though was the service. A huge shoutout to the barista, Alexana! She was super friendly, genuinely helpful after we ordered in making sure we had everything we needed and really quick to make the coffee. It's rare to find speed and quality service. I'll always go by here when in the area.

Ordered the caramel banana brew. Can't quite taste the banana bit the caramel flavor is there. Overall good coffee. Chill ambiance with mix-matched furniture. Like someone's college loft type vibe...

Madelyn made my decaf coffee. It was the opposite of everything I asked for: not creamy, not rosy. It was so watered down and she even said It was watered down decaf but how was the ice and everything else so diluted? I would not come back here. Yes, this is what it looked like when i got it. Horrible.

Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 2/5 Vibe: - service is very slow, expect to spend 30 minutes waiting even if there is no line. If there is a line go somewhere else Food: - coffee here is my favorite, I recommend the mint mojito coffee

I've been to many different Philz during the years but this particular location was by far the best. It's not about the coffee here because all Philz serves some really good coffee. This place stands out because of its customer service. Lamar was especially accommodating with my large order that seem to change in an instant but he was super friendly especially during a holiday where many people would rather be chilling at home. The staff here really rocks and I would recommend this Philz to anyone looking for a genuine type of customer service.

** The following review reflects my experience prior to and DURING the shelter-in-place order currently in effect. ** Philz is Philz, ain't it? I noticed they appropriately closed when the shelter-in-place order took place, though Starbucks kept providing takeout. To be perfectly honest, Starbucks doesn't excite me enough for me to roll the dice and get a Venti to go. But a large Silken Splendor from Philz is something else entirely (photo: https://bit.ly/2x4H3GZ). It had been so long since I had one that I finally downloaded the app to pick one up at this location with my face mask and disposable gloves on. After wiping down the cup with a Wet One, I isolated myself on the abandoned bleachers of nearby Jackson Park to sip it down. What a contrast to my prior experience where I noticed the plethora of local art in this space and the little fountains in the courtyard it shares with Milkbomb. Welcome to the new world. COFFEE - 5 stars...ahhh AMBIANCE - n/a on today's visit but 4 stars in its previous incarnation SERVICE - 4.5 stars...always attentive TOTAL - 5 stars...yes, Philz is indeed Philz RELATED - Looking for coffee in the city? Order ahead and still 10-15+ mins late, daily. Inconsistent taste like many Philz, but this one in particular, rolling the dice on taste.

I love their mint mojito and rose latte. This location had both a bathroom and outlets, perfect to come do some work.

First time at this location, they seem to clean up and close before the posted time. And send customers away.

The iced Thai tea was well-balanced and not overwhelmingly sweet. The chicken waffle was also good--especially the chicken itself. It was lightly battered and crisp to perfection. I do wish the waffle was more toasted since it was a bit soggy even with barely any syrup. The fruits were fresh and tasted really yummy. As for the PaNang omelette, it was delicious!! It's filled with meat and vegetables, so it's pretty hearty. The curry was so good and had just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend the PaNang omelette. Parking was difficult since it's in the Tenderloin, but it was definitely worth it. The workers are nice, and the place is really cute.

I made a reservation through Yelp but it seemed like they don't really check yelp for that so I would recommend to call for a table. Luckily, we showed up 30 mins early and there was a corner table near the kitchen available for my party of 5. I had the smoked salmon toast because I'm a basic bitch but whatever it was really yummy with a nice fresh half of avocado, salmon, capers.. all the fixings. The only issue about it was the two giant patty sized slices of red onion was intense. I only ate one ring of it because that's all it needed but I guess it's better for the option of more than too little? Idk not that serious. It came with a side salad that looked undressed but whatever magical dressing they put on it.. hello I need the recipe!! Peach Bellini pitcher was yummy and the brut was acceptable. My party of 5, including 2 brunch fiends and two fabulous locals, said they all really liked the food. If I'm in the area I would definitely come again! What we ordered: Chai latte Mocha Regular latte Peach Bellini liter Smoked salmon toast Smoked salmon cruffle (croissant smashed in a waffle iron) with an added poach egg Holy Chili bomb basil omelette Thai panang omelette Meat lovers omelette The restaurant is cute with a beautiful natural light. I just wish we had a better table but again, it was acceptable. We did metered parking 2 blocks away for $6 for 2.5 hours.

I loved the decor all around the restaurant with adorable cow art and a very clean feel. The servers and hosts were coming over to chat with us and just made us feel so welcome and special. From the second you walk in until the second you leave you are in good hands. It's also right across from the train so it's super easy to get there! I don't normally like horseradish, but the burger came with the perfect amount of horseradish where it tasted very fresh and added a good burst of flavor without being overwhelming! The fries were delicious and crispy. 10 out of 10 food, service, and environment. I would give them more stars if I could.

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

Came on a Tuesday morning & the wait wasn't too bad for a party of 2. It was my bf bday and we ordered mimosas, we got ID and the waiter noticed it was his bday and said happy bday. We didn't expect a candle to come with his breakfast plate and it did & was so thoughtful & cute. I ordered the plow which has: two eggs, two lemon ricotta pancakes + plow potatoes with choice of house made pork sausage patties, bacon, or chicken apple sausage link. I went with the bacon and it did not disappoint The lemon ricotta pancakes were the star of the show so soft & yummy. My bf ordered the steak & eggs which has: hanger steak, chermoula, two eggs, simple green salad & buttered toast. We both grubbed & can't wait to be back to try the rest of the menu.

Actually closer to a hour. The restaurant is not really that big. It looks bigger in the pictures. They have tables set up outside, but it was too chilly to sit outside. We ordered the egg sandwich, and the plow. I felt like the plow gives you a chance to try most of the popular items on the menu. The potatos were crispy and litely salted. The lemon ricotta pancakes were slightly dense . The lemon flavor was intense, not sure if there was lemon zest in the batter. The egg sandwich tasted great with the apple. It was messy. But we were warned when ordering that it could be messy. The egg yolk spills over the sides The food was 5 stars. But the service was 3.5. Not sure it it was the waitress being slow,or it could have been the kitchen not getting the food out quickly
