Philadelphia and Seoul connection (R&B music pun intended). We liked these guys. We've driven by their Northside location dozens of times over the years and never went, but was intrigued with their expansion to the Valley area that's right in our regular shopping corridor. And, no one has to talk me into enjoying Americano favorites that have a Korean lean. Technically this is a fast food style place, but the goods are cooked on the griddle in an open kitchen while you wait. When we went for an early lunch, there was one dude doing it all. He did great. We love good, quick, in/out joints when shopping, and this place is a solid option. Nice clean place, too...

I couldn't of asked for a better Philly cheesesteak. Definitely try the onion rings. Will not be disappointed.

It was around lunch time when we walked in so the ambience was pretty busy and almost all the tables were taken, but we found a spot in the corner. We stood in line to order and we're greeted with a smile when it was our turn. I ordered John's Veggie Bug and my friend ordered the special of the day, which was the Cuban. I made mine a combo and added the homemade roasted garlic salad and a drink. When our order arrived, my sandwich sure did look tasty and it was! As taken from the menu, John's Veggie Bug consisted of: avocado, cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, olives, cucumbers, sprouts, green onion, lettuce, tomato, pesto mayo and balsamic vinaigrette, on a grilled parmesan panini. This sandwich was super fresh, had great flavors, and I loved that it was on yummy grilled bread that was warm. All the ingredients were plentiful too. I liked how it came with pretzels, something different than chips and the pickle had a good snap to it. You could tell the roasted garlic potato salad was homemade and it wasn't overpowered with garlic. The flavors had a nice balance. My friend's Cuban looked meaty and says he liked it. It was so filling he only ate half and took home the rest for later. The Cuban is worth it's value. The dining area inside almost reminds me of an old school diner feel with lots of decor, art, and vintage type signs. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I'll definitely be back!

I told our waitress that I couldn't remember the last time my husband gave his lunch a 10/10. He even texted a buddy afterwards to tell him just how amazing his lunch was! My wrap was great: perfectly salted avocado, crunchy sprouts, close attention to detail. I could only eat half since the wrap was so large, so I took the other half home and it still tasted great later. We can't wait to go back!

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

However this time, I decided to try a different location and test their veggie sandwich consistency and freshness. When we walked in we were greeted and I was surprised how big the inside dining area was. It wasn't busy and actually empty the entire time we were there. Mother's Day could have affected this. Anyway, I proceeded to order the #6 veggie sandwich and my friend ordered the Turkey Tom and added salami, peppers, and oil & vinegar. My sandwich was really good and consistent with the veggie sandwich from the other store. Bread was soft and delicious as usual and all my veggies were fresh and crisp. There was adequate cheese and the avocado spread tied it all together nicely. My friend was pretty happy with his choice and said it was really good. The employees were nice and had good customer service. The store was brightly lit and noticeably clean. I would visit this store again. It's worthy to note this location has a drive-thru, but no outdoor seating.
