Came here while on vacation visiting family. The pics looked good so I went. Orders myself a French dip. There was more cheese than meet and it wasn't very flavorful. Always a great lunch! I got the Big Bear sandwich, which is literally a sandwich big enough for a bear lol! I'm celiac, so gluten-free is important. They use a simple GF multigrain bread. It's decent and held together so I could eat the sandwich. They prepared my sandwich off to the side on a piece of sandwich wrap. It was kept off the main assembly line. Put together by a separate worker with new gloves. They "do thier best" but off no guarantee. There's some inherent risk for a celiac when eating at a sandwich shop, but this place works for me. It was cheesy, turkey, delicious. I got the lil bear sandwich and it had so much cheese, ham, salami...so good. It was $30 for 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and the chips come free with the meal. My bf and I came by to Big Bear Deli after my Clint recommended it to us. We both got the Turkey smoked sandwhich with marble rye bread, swiss and everything on it. It was wonderful! I moved from San Diego up to the CDA/Hayden area back in Dec 2016 and have been missing eating a great sandwich since I had so many options in SoCal. I found this place on yelp and I've been back 3x It's the best sandwich in North Idaho in my opinion. I'll keep coming back often. The customer service is great and the owner is super friendly. Just wish there was more seating inside. Such great food! And they have BOARS HEAD product which is a plus! ....and I keep coming back!! I love this place.
