The #21 french dip (12 inch, $14) was pretty classic and tasty, except that we added horseradish and boy was it a lot of horseradish lol we were tearing up after a few bites! The #24 turkey bacon avocado (12 inch, $14) was also good, but it seemed to be doused in too much oil so everything kept sliding out of the bread making it a bit sloppy to eat. This is hands down my favorite place to go for sandwiches. Best little mom and pop shop in town. The food is always consistent, the bread has the most amazing chew to it and it always hits the spot! My partner enjoys how thinly sliced the onions are, and if you use oil on the sandwich.. it turns into heaven on bread. They have online order to pick up which is extremely convenient also. Sandwich was okay, i got salami and pepperoni and the salami was equivalent to the walmart deli counter meat, which is good meat but I guess I expected a little more out of this place considering the reviews. The pepperoni also looked and tasted like store bought bagged pepperoni that you would use on pizza. The bread looks crispy on the outside but was actually soft as if it was kept in a refrigerator so that was disappointing and is the main reason for 3 stars instead of 4, the bread on a sandwich is what really makes or breaks it! Gave it another try but this time in person. Sandwich had a pretty loose paper which wasn't wrapped closed and was cut through so it was touching the counter and I couldn't pick it up without it trying to spill everywhere. Au Ju was delightful, side of horseradish will kick ya in the face....... that's where the positives end my dude. The sandwiches are good here, especially the bread, but it doesn't compare with back east because they don't offer to toast the bread which is a given in MA and NY. In the Spokane area I prefer Shamus Sandwich shop and I don't go to Jimmy John's because the former owner, Jimmy John Liautaud used to hunt big game which I think is pathetic and their sandwiches are not good. The guy at Sub-Division never cracks a smile, so I just don't feel that great going there. He seems annoyed all the time. So I'll fill out my punch card and then go back to Shamus. read more

I'm a sandwich lover and when I say that I mean I like sandwich that actually have a good amount of meat and toppings on it, none of the 2 slices of thin meat kind of thing. First time trying it out today and I decided to try #15 which had 7 meats and 2 cheeses. I did the 6inch sub and it was only $8.25. The toppings come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. All the other toppings are extra but they do have a good selection. The bread was good, nothing crazy or melt in my mouth but just a simple good bread. The sandwich was packed with meat!! I don't normally like bologna on my sandwich but I took a risk, glad I did. The produce and meats were fresh and paired well together. This place is a hole in the wall but in a good way, if you can get past that it's not all sorts of fancy inside then you'll be happy. It looks likes it's been around Spokane for a while and a hidden gem for a good sandwich. Again I'm a person who could care less what the place looks like, it's about how the food is!! I always love - Love - LOVE these subs! They're huge!!! Loaded up East coast style and they slice and prepare the food to order. Nothing is pre-portioned, dried out, or lack luster. We go to this place all of the time - we've been going for probably about fifteen years or so. Definitely reminds me of the sandwiches I would get in New Jersey and Long Island. Super chewy bread - just right. I've actually tried to buy their bread from them by itself because I like it so much. A couple of things that they do that make the difference: they slice the meat right when you buy it, the bread, and then they put on the perfect amount of vinegar which makes the sandwich. Great sandwiches! The #1 is on the top of the menu for a reason. They are gigantic and don't skimp on ingredients. That goes a long way with me. I'm a sucker for value. However, the value factor is not as great as I once thought it was. The "Gonzaga Special" is chips, a drink, and sandwich. It used to be $10. Now it's $12. I understand inflation, prices go up, wages increase, etc. However, if you pick up a couple of these that's basically the same price as a sit-down restaurant. Myself and the lady friend just split one of these "Specials" so it isn't too bad, but even as big as their sandwiches are, a half portion doesn't quite fill me up. I will still take Sub Division over the Jimmy Johns and Subways of the world and day of the week, though. read more

This is definitely not a place for a nice lunch out, the seating is outdoor patio furniture (inside) but that is no problem because of how great the subs are. for about seven bucks you can get a seven meats two cheese sandwich that could easily be two meals. I would recommend either the Nautilus (5 meats 1 cheese) or my personal favorite, the French Dip. Its not even on the menu but if you ask for it you get a huge sandwich piled high with roast beef, onions and tons of cheese. Also some really great au'jus sauce. This is the best sub sandwich place in Spokane, hands down. Not a pretty place, no corporate fluff like Jimmy John's, but if you want a REAL sub (as close as you can get to a Jersey sub here in Spokane), this is it. Meat is sliced TO ORDER (that makes a big difference in flavor), they're fast, and the prices are low. I've ordered the 5 meats and cheese, the spinach artichoke veggie sandwich (amazing spinach artichoke spread), and the meatball sub. Like the previous review said, the full sized sandwiches are big and are a two-meal size, unless you're really hungry.
