Main reason I updated is because I apparently gave 4 stars when I meant to give 5. I am picky about cheese steaks because most places outside of the state of Pennsylvania screw them up. This place brought me back to the U district in Philly. First off, they got the bread right, which so many sandwich places in general don't pay attention to. Soft enough with good flavor but durable enough to hold the contents. The steak is cooked right. I love how they think outside the bun and you can get your meal in a rice bowl. Very creative and it tastes pretty good. Everyone is friendly here, and the service is really quick. Place is always very clean whenever I have come in. Unlike many places who try, their self serve ordering touchpad works really well and is easy to navigate. If you want an "authentic" Philly cheese steak, this is the closest you are probably gonna find in all of Spokane. Ordered delivery so I'm not sure how the customer service was or the building but I ordered a 12" classic Philly with jalapeños, pickles, extra cheese wiz, and white American cheese with a side of cheese fries with jalapeños, ranch, and bacon. I normally would never order this much food but I had to meet an order minimum for my delivery lol. The ribeye meat was tasty, no fat anywhere, thin sliced, and warm. The bread should be toasted in my opinion, not sure if that's even an option but maybe if you go in and order? The bread came completely wet and soggy which was not appetizing at all but I heated it up in the oven to help. I also asked for white American cheese with the cheez wiz and didn't receive any American cheese but it's not the end of the world, the flavor was still good with the meat. The fries were pretty good too, I only ate a couple of them because I was so full after eating half the sandwhich but I put some fries in the sandwhich and that was epic! I won't be ordering to go from here unless I have a coupon because these 2 items came to $37 before the promo was added to my order. I've been in twice now and it's a good cheesesteak, as good as Tat's in Seattle (if my memory of them serves). I typically get a 12" with the usual stuff: Cheez Wiz, onions, peppers. The first time I asked for it with Cheez Wiz and they kept their standard provolone on it along with the Cheez Wiz. I really disliked that. It was in part my fault for not making it clear, but I wish they'd asked for clarification. The second time I had it with jalapenos (no provolone) and that was an improvement, I think. This place has been around for a while now at the corner of Division and Rowan. This place is rather small, but during this COVID thing, all orders are to-go. This place doesn't mess around. They make a few cheesesteak and they do it well. I think starting with ribeye as their cut of choice to chop up and mix with whatever ingredients you want in your cheesesteak, is a GREAT choice. Got myself a rice bowl, custom made .. peanut chicken one .. it tasted absolutely wonderful .. the amalgamation of chicken veggies those sauces were heavenly .. The only thing that made me give them 4 stars instead of a solid 5 was probably the quantity .. I felt that for 9.5 bucks my rice bowl could have given me some more of everything .. but that is just me ..being quite a big fan of panda express as they have spoiled me that is for sure.
