First day for Fratello's (sister shop to Sorella)! Got the meatball sub and it was excellent. They really focus on quality; the bread and fixings were fresh and delicious. There's plenty of great outdoor seating, but no indoor area currently. Perfect spot for a sunny day lunch.

Finally had a day off so I could go and try this new place and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing after I ordered I was given a beeper and told 10-15min but I waiting less than that. The place is small and does not have much indoor seating so I suggest if it's not nice out to get it to go as I did. Staff is friendly and my only complaint is that they are open when I am at work and have to take a day off to enjoy this yumminess.

Great sandwiches (I prefer the focaccia bread over the sesame rolls). Flavorful and filling. Line moved pretty well, very friendly staff.

    Sorella - Al La Vodka

    Sorella

    (140 reviews)

Sorella in downtown Spokane feels like one of those places you save for a nice night out! Upscale…read morebut still warm and lively. The decor is stunning, with many photo frames hanging, candles, open kitchen and bar, looks very fancy. Definitely gives an "anniversary" energy. The restaurant is a family-style setup, so it's better to go with a group of friends and sharing, and that you can try more dishes. Reservations are a must, as it gets busy fast. What i tried: * Starter: Caesar salad and ricotta focaccia. Both solid, but that focaccia really stands out - soft, rich, a bit sweet and super satisfying * Pasta: Both alla vodka and bolognese are very delicious, comforting and well-balanced, I couldn't stop eating. But the limone (lemon butter pasta) was a bit too disappointing. I had one in April 2025 and I remember it was so delicious, but this time it isn't as good. * Appetizers: Dante's meatballs are must try here, HUGE, super tender, flavorful and sitting in a bright, tangy tomato sauce. Very classic but addictive. This is also my first time trying arancini (fried rice ball with gouda and pepper), which had a nice crispy outside with a creamy texture inside. Also highly recommend you should order it here. * For main dishes: We had NY steak, a bit too salty though it was cooked perfectly. Franzino (pan seared fish) was fresh and delicate with lemon, butter, and capers. I also tried the chicken parmigiana and it's always my favorite thing here, crispy, cheesy, and very comforting. * Cocktails were just as good as the food. I had Sorella gin martini and Hugo spritz - both delicious but Hugo spritz was my favorite, a bit sour from lemon and refreshing from mint - a good paired for all the food I got. * Dessert: I tried both vanilla gelato and lemon sorbet. Average, nothing too exciting. Overall: great spot for a date night or group dinner when you want good Italian food in a fancy restaurant in Spokane! Highly recommend.

The ambiance is lovely. Good wine, interesting cocktails, freshly made focaccia ( at $14/ serving…read more-it should be) salads are tasty. But this restaurant is very pricey for inconsistent food. We've been twice now- didn't love it enough the first time but wanted to give it a second chance. The lemon pasta was divine the first time- but my carbonara was unflavored paste- I literally thought I had COVID and lost the ability to taste food but everyone else's food tasted good so that theory didn't hold up. This time I ordered the lemon pasta and instead of creamy, delightful and tasty it was a little bland and watery. The waitress "fixed it " by offering me more Parmesan to thicken it. I'd added prawns- they were nice. My companion ordered the veal parm- the tomato sauce wasn't amazing and the breading was a bit heavy. He wasn't impressed and didn't finish the dish. The risotto was just OK. Again, it's very pricey for just OK. The food isn't trash but if you've had great food you don't want to pay so much for just ok. We would rather spend the money at Luna or Francaise or Wooden City. Dessert was yummy. The first time we went we arrived first seating and it looked like the AARP theater crowd, the last night we went seemed like a galantine's preview! So if you're there for the drinks, appetizers and ambiance it's quite nice. I can't endorse it whole heartedly because the entree's weren't consistently good enough to give the full 5 stars. Service was fine and we tipped accordingly. Good luck!

I felt as if our server should have told us immediately that this was a shared option, but even then to make every person pay $57 is nuts for the portion of food that you receive. We are content creator, so we happen to record every dish that we received. ( the leisurely) First thing they brought out was roasted nuts and marinated olives. (6/10). Some of the olives were hard, but the roasted nuts were pretty good. 2. My wife is allergic to shrimp so they were gonna bring out the grilled ponds but instead the chef decided to bring out brussels sprouts. (2/10). It was awful. I almost gagged legitimately, and my wife felt the same, the brussels sprouts also had a foul smell to them as if they were spoiled. - it was paired with the winter salad. In my opinion, that was the second best thing that they brought out. It was very rich in flavor, colorful as well. 3. They then brought out some pasta. Tagliatelle Pasta. This is the best thing that they brought out. The noodles were fresh and the meat choice ( roast) paired very well and it was mildly flavorful, enough to swing both ways but we'd say it swung in the right direction. I'd give it 8.5/10. 4. They then brought out steelhead trout with couscous and cauliflower with roasted carrots. - I think the audacity to give two full grown adults. A 1/3 portion of fish is quite literally disrespectful. It was so disrespectful until it just made me want to leave even more than I did whenever they brought out the brussels sprouts. The piece of fish itself was not seasoned, but it happened to pair slightly with the couscous and whatever sauce. It was quinoa actually.. (6.5/10) flavor wise. I hate really complaining about food, but this was so underwhelming.. that I may have contested the bill if my baby didn't poop out of his clothes during the visit. I will likely update this review with all of the photos once we upload the video just so everyone get an idea. ---- Overall, we would've been much happier, ordering individual dishes off the menu. I don't want to shit all over this place because I do believe it has potential, but I would not advise anyone to do the leisurely. The couple behind us actually didn't eat any of their food either and they apparently chose the same option and she was very upset so I'm glad that we weren't the only ones. I don't think we will return back to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

What I ordered: Focaccia bread & butter: I like it, warm and soft bread with butter, classic Chicken & Ricotta Meatballs: My most favorite, super tender and juicy meatballs. Sauce also impressive. The whipped ricotta and tomato sauce made it super creamy and rich. Would order again and again Bucatini Carbonara: Probably a miss here. At first it felt very comforting, rich and fatty, but then mid dinner it became too heavy and a bit too salty. I couldn't finish my portion Tiramisu: Another miss here. It's a bit too sweet for me, I would prefer a lighter flavor. I also had a lemon cocktail paired with the meal. The space is cozy and lively, many families came here for dinner. Overall, solid spot, nothing too fancy. Would come back to try other dishes.

We had a group of eight and there was a lot of "not ready yet" which the staff handled with ease. Food came out quickly but mostly all at the same time. We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. All in all you should stop in for dinner and you won't be disappointed!

I found out they were out of scallops when I ordered my entree, though, which was pretty disappointing; it would have been better to hear about that earlier. The waitress suggested a pasta special in place of it, but I ended up going with the steelhead trout entree instead. The trout was fully rare when I got it...I had to ask for it to be re-fired to medium (I can handle fish at medium rare but not rare, unless it's sashimi). They were quick and accommodating about that request and the trout was delicious. The mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side were great. Overall, the experience was really good but not quite excellent.

We had a 6:00 reservation, bumped it to 5:30, showed up at 5:00 anyway (because of course we did), and they kindly seated us in the bar area. Cozy little spot... no complaints there. Our waitress was great. Friendly, patient, and willing to roll with my nonsense... which is saying something. I had a free birthday entrée (buy one, get one free), promptly ordered something that wasn't on the birthday menu, realized my mistake, and pivoted back to my usual Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter. Zero regrets. It's my go-to and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the Hearty Meal, which apparently translates to "Sir, here is a mountain of pasta." I barely finished it. I absolutely should not have finished it. I finished it anyway... because I am fat and that is how I roll. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala. Her official review: "The chicken was OK." However... she loved the Mizithra pasta (a lot). She also enjoyed the Foundry Punch enough to have two, which is always a good sign. Between the two of us, we demolished about a loaf and a half of bread like it was our job. Dessert was spumoni ice cream. My wife had a little. I had mine... and then the rest of hers. Teamwork. The atmosphere was great. It was quiet, they had the playoff game on, so I got dinner and sports... win-win. Prices and value were exactly what you expect from OSF... no surprise fees, no menu gymnastics. They got very busy shortly after we arrived. When we sat down, it was us and one other couple in the bar. By the time we left, every table was full. Nothing wild happened, nothing bad happened... just a good, solid visit. Will we be back? Yep. And next time I might pretend I won't eat the entire plate... but we all know how that ends.
