This is really a wonderful stop, and not just for lunch. I tried breakfast for the first time today and my friend and I both really enjoyed our meals. I had the breakfast tots and they were super tasty. I'm not a heat person so they pour the hot sauce on the side. I did end up using it as it wasn't screaming hot, just right actually. My buddy had the breakfast BLT and said it was also tasty. From my vantage point it looked like quite a meal in volume too. Service was super friendly and the dining area was clean.

In town for a track event and my daughter and I loved their sandwiches!!!! She had the Hammie Sammie and I had the turkey club. Both were delicious. Customer service was super friendly and fast. Can't wait to come back!

This was our first time trying Zozo's Sandwich Shop, and we wanted to sample a few different items from the menu. The tater tots were absolutely delicious They were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The biscuits and gravy were amazing, definitely one of the highlights of our meal! My husband had The Wise Guy and really liked it, and I tried the Monroe St. Dip, it was okay, not my favorite, but not bad either. The sausage potato soup was soooo good--rich, hearty, and full of flavor. The place itself is nice and spacious with plenty of seating. The only thing that felt a little unusual was that you order right at the entrance and then seat yourself afterward--but it worked fine once we figured it out. Overall, great food, friendly service, and a comfortable spot for a casual meal. We'll definitely be back to try more!

The PASTRAMI MOMMI.. suuuper yummy with the runny egg!

I've tried a few different things off the menu but each time I come in it somehow gets better each time! Such a cozy spot, definitely worth supporting the mom and pop place because the staff is always welcoming and make sure everything is tasting good!

Cute diner with a fun menu, lots of offerings and the friendliest service in town! Stand at the counter and order and they deliver your meal and bus your table. You can tell they pride themselves on making sure you get what you wanted and you have everything you need . The tots are so good! -I liked my chickpea sandwich . Added chips for a crunch.it tasted like an egg salad but with protein packed chickpeas! Lots of bread so I ended up eating this with a fork. - hubs loved his beefyonce sandwich - soft bread, flavorful - biscuits and gravy is a huge portion! Very generous! This might be the friendliest service in Spokane!! I'll give a small business my dollar anytime over a chain. Hope to return and try something different next time! Bonus points for the creative menu offerings!

Broccoli Cheddar...

Spokane loves their local sandwich shops, and Zozo's definitely stands out as one of the better ones. Ingredients are as fresh as you can get, with pillow-soft breads--crisped up on the griddle when called for--and savory sides for lunch. My mid-western Wifey was thrilled to find a pork cutlet sammie, and raved about it with every bite. Don't sleep on their breakfast BLT. It was both light, and filling, and more than enough for a hearty appetite. And, these guys know their soups. The Broccoli Cheddar was gloriously cheeeeesy, and could be a fine lunch on it's own with one of their salads. Folks in there were friendly, even though very busy. This is a great lunch spot...

Once again I came to Zozo's and this time around I got the Smasn & Burn burger with fries and a coke zero. The burger was super awesome and had enough amount of heat from the jalapeños, fries were nice and crispy. The staff was super friendly and they were very cool. If you want a good smash burger stop by and try a smash n Burn burger you'll love it and the fries will be awesome as well.

Such a great spot! The portions are huge. Service was very friendly. Great fast casual spot. Locally owned which I personally love to support.

Zozo's Philly Cheesesteak

My first visit was so great I had to return. First time around I got their Monroe St Dip?, could only eat half, and it reheated perfectly when I had it for lunch the next day! This time I had the Fattie Maddie, and it was so good! A cold sandwich, stacked with several meats, pickles, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and their special sauce. I'm posting a pic for that one. Hubby got a Zozo's Cheesteak and enjoyed it very much. He also ordered the Chili Tots, most of which came home to be a side for dinner. One of the things I love about this place is the fact what you order is what you get. I don't have large stomach space, so adding sides is wasting food. And, check out the artwork! It's for sale, from a Pickle Ball to King Kong in Spokane, and whimsical paintings of trash pandas. Parking is shaded, like the old A&W, or Sonic, staff is friendly, customers are friendly, location is excellent.

French dip

I just had the most amazing French dip sandwich from Zozo's! I've driven by it a million times, but finally decided to give it a try and ordered Uber Eats to work today. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It might just be the best French dip I've ever had (okay, maybe not in the world, but definitely in my book!). My coworker got the turkey club and it was massive! Piled high with turkey, bacon, avocado, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato, all on the most delicious hoagie bun ever. And the grilled cheese was surprisingly good too - they even said it could compete with Five Guys (which is saying a lot, since no one has ever been able to beat Five Guys' grilled cheese before!). I'm already planning my next visit to Zozo's to try either the Ruben or the pastrami sandwich - decisions, decisions! If you're a fan of French dip, you have to give Zozo's a try - it might just become your new favorite spot too!

Turkey Club

If you haven't tried Zozo's Sandwich House (on Monroe and Jackson, in the old Azar's restaurant), I highly recommend. Met my Dad there today for our monthly lunch and we both left full and happy. There were so many things we wanted to try, it took us some time to whittle it down and finally choose. I ended up going with their Turkey Club (roasted turkey, bacon, avocado, cheddar, swiss, shreddy lettuce, tomato, and ranch. Served on a freshly baked hoagie roll) and a cup of one of the soups of the day, Asparagus Bisque. The sandwich was so big, I could only eat 1/4 of it and the cup of soup. My Dad decided on their Filthy Fries (topped with smash patties, american cheese, grilled onion, chopped pickles, and zo sauce). He said the hamburger patty was delicious and the fries were crispy. I also brought home a chicken and pork cutlet sandwich for the boyfriend. I don't have pictures of those, but they're quite large. He's been looking forward to trying these since he saw them on the menu. So I just picked up one of each. Everyone there was really nice and welcoming.

Mmmmmmm so good. The staff is amazing here and the food is make sure you get the tots too! The garlic ones looked bomb! The bread here is so good. I could eat five loaves.

Best sandwiches in Spokane! Went with the zozo's cheesesteak and was not disappointed. Cannot forget to mention the garlic tots which were scrumptious !

I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

Started off with a Perfect Peach & Huckleberry Lemonade Mimosas that were divine! Everything on the menu sounded amazing so we ultimately decided on the chicken and biscuit with country gravy, the Honey Gochujang chicken sandwich with fries and the verde Hash with eggs on the side. The chicken and biscuit was a winner but be prepared for the food coma afterwards- worth every bite! Their fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. I'm glad we shared the chicken sandwich because it would have been too much , too sweet, on its own. I was Expecting to get more heat but it was mostly sweet- could have used more of a tangy slaw and house dill pickles for texture and acidity. The title with Honey in it should have tipped me off. The Verde Hash was the best hash I've ever had and a generous portion. The use of roasted poblano peppers, red peppers, carnitas and potatoes was taken to next level with the feta cheese on top! Great flavor profile and big enough portion to share. I can't forget to mention the delightful server who patiently gave suggestions and went out of her way to make our first Bruncheonette Experience memorable. Shared the Verde Hash and Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito (which we had as a bowl to make it gluten free). The hash was amazing, had such good flavors, and a generous portion of meat and the potato medley. The burrito flavors were pretty good, but wish it came with more tots since we didn't have the tortilla to go with it. It was definitely enough (maybe a little too much) for two people to share. Would absolutely have wanted to try more items! The host and waitress were both super friendly and our waitress was the perfect amount of checking in (at the right times), asking correct questions, and noticing our needs. She was so excellent!!
