I paid a visit to Wisconsin Burger and it was excellent. It's like going to a burger stand that serves great beer. The place is just a comfy spot to chill and chow. Great tunes plenty of space. I had the roasted garlic appetizer and it was interesting. Some of the cloves were less roasted than others. My burger was excellent. Huge and juicy tasty and on a great bun. The onion rings on top were gigantic. The service was terrific, the people who work there are young hip and focused on making sure you enjoy yourself and enjoy your meal. read more

Absolutely FABULOUS food, all made with a Wisconsin flavor. I had a Madison burger (a veggie patty) and had asiago cheese added. It was REALLY delicious. I am from Green Bay WI and I know my cheese curds. Wisconsinburger's deep fried cheese curds taste JUST LIKE they were made in a Wisconsin tavern. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of WI with tables made from bowling lane floors. The vibe there is quite laid back. This is a fun place to bring your family and it is consistently rated the number #1 burger joint in Spokane year after year in the Inlander publication. I'd give Wisconsinburger 5+++ stars. I haven't been here in years and was so excited to go back! Let's start with the service: it was SO SO slow. We got sat and probably waited 25 minutes for someone to come over. They were busy, it was lunch time, but it still seemed excessive. While the server was there, she was great, but it was definitely hard to get anything when she wasn't. Even our checks and boxes took forever. They did go above and beyond and find a way to add protein (chopped up burger patty) to my friend's nachos. Which was nice, but then made me wonder if their burgers are freshly made or if they make them ahead of time. You wouldn't think getting ground beef added would be that hard, but either way, after initially saying no she did come back and say they could do it. The food: the food wasn't as good as I remembered! The burger was large, too large for my mouth, but was lacking in the favor department. I was a little bummed. The fries were fresh and delicious though! The nachos they put ground beef on for my friends were good, but they didn't cook the ground beef all the way. It was VERY pink. For a burger maybe that is okay, but ground beef on nachos should probably be cooked all the way. They also don't have very much cheese on them. The ambiance: it was as Wisconsinburger as it gets! It's fun, lovely, retro, and Wisconsin-like. The atmosphere could bring people in alone. It's a great vibe. Especially the beer fridge. All-in-all it will probably be another six years before I go back again, but I'll certainly go back someday! read more

I'm a vegetarian and was really looking forward to trying the portobello mushroom sandwich, but it was honestly terrible. It was overly juicy in the worst way--so much liquid soaked into the bread that it turned completely soggy and unappetizing. I also ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer, and they were extremely greasy and oily--not enjoyable at all. My boyfriend got a burger and had his own issues. It was overcooked, dry, and somehow still flavorless. He said it tasted stale, like it had been sitting around too long. We both ordered milkshakes--mine was chocolate, and it barely had any chocolate flavor. There were ice chunks in it too, like it wasn't blended properly. Such a great spot tucked in the Perry neighborhood. In the back are a couple of old school arcade games (PAC man and Mario!) so bring your quarters. The drink offerings are impressive and the glass front coolers showcase a rainbow of options. We were from out of town so, we figured we try the Wisconsin burger. We'll, I wish we would have passed on this place!! First off, WAY OVER PRICED for a typical "hamburger". Don't get me wrong, they look amazing and what little taste we had of them they were just OK. One of the burgers was way under cooked so much ( see pic ) that it looked like it was flipped one time. Went for dinner on a Sunday night and they had 2 people working the front of the house, one of which was hopefully new because he did nothing helpful other than drop off menus and water. The poor server was taking care of the entire restaurant and running around like a chicken with her head cut off with no help. Took us probably 20 minutes to be addressed. We were understanding, as this is clearly a management/staffing issue, and not the servers fault. After awhile we finally get our food, which was overcooked, over priced, and really average at best. It's tucked in the middle of a neighborhood somewhere i would've never guessed an eating establishment to be. We were grayed and seated immediately the waitress Abby was amazing. I'm not even sure why it's here as this isn't even Wisconsin, but nonetheless I went ahead and to-go ordered their most expensive burger! A monster of a burger with two patties cheese curds, Swiss cheese bacon! What I received (when I was already home) was a single patty mushroom burger, I hate mushrooms! But luckily it came with the soggiest most undercooked fries I've ever had the pleasure of throwing away! My daughter ordered sides of onion rings and cheese curds! What she received was two boxes of equally inedible vegetable oil soaked and undercooked disgustingness! Oh joy! Sixty dollars later we are both still hungry! 5 stars!.... My wife is from Wisconsin so this stop on our road trip was a no-brainer. Our host/ server was very friendly and welcoming. We shared a Spooner burger with fried onion rings on the burger and bacon jam. It was so good, it made me sad I don't live in Spokane. The custard was good but not true Wisconsin authentic according to my wife. A wonderful neighborhood burger joint with a friendly staff, great burgers and a fun atmosphere. I ordered the Manitowoc burger with bacon and I was not disappointed. Perfect temp and great flavors. I want to call out the mushrooms for enhancing the flavor and texture of the burger. I would recommend adding the lemon horseradish aioli dipping sauce for your fries, it was an unexpected treat with citrus kick that complimented the seasoning. My only regret was not having enough time to try the house made frozen custard, but that gives me another reason on top of the burgers to visit agian when I return to Spokane.
