I have no problem paying $20 for a good burger, but what I got was such a disappointment. The meat was dry and overcooked and it was so small that it got lost in the burger. The onion rings and sauce were good on it, but even the bun was dry. Sad because I wanted to like it. Service was good, but the quality of the burger was just bad. I paid a visit to Wisconsin Burger and it was excellent. It's like going to a burger stand that serves great beer. The place is just a comfy spot to chill and chow. Great tunes plenty of space. I had the roasted garlic appetizer and it was interesting. Some of the cloves were less roasted than others. My burger was excellent. Huge and juicy tasty and on a great bun. This place is awesome. The location is kind of different right in the middle of a neighborhood so the parking is limited but at lunch that wasn't an issue. Inside and outside seating. The environment is awesome and one of the best wait staffs I've seen. Super nice and friendly. Their sauces are made in house and top notch, especially the smoked tomato ranch. I had the grind of the week special, it was a blue cheese vinaigrette bacon burger that was amazing. I would highly suggest this place even my very picky wife already said she would come back. Small hidden restaurant inside a nice neighborhood, they have outside seating which was perfect for our visit. I got a Hefeweizen beer which i will saw was the second best i have had within the US. The kids shared three sliders which were way bigger and almost a normal size burger. The Wife had Maddison burger which she enjoyed, however wish it had a little more sauce. My mom had Tractor Pull(Turkey burger) and enjoyed however she not big on the spicy side due to the house sauce was a little to much for her. As I asked the server for his recommendation and in which gave me the Garlic Gorge, which by itself wasn't bad however the Garlic wasn't on the taste buds for tonight however their house sauce made the burger better for me. I haven't been here in years and was so excited to go back! Let's start with the service: it was SO SO slow. We got sat and probably waited 25 minutes for someone to come over. They were busy, it was lunch time, but it still seemed excessive. While the server was there, she was great, but it was definitely hard to get anything when she wasn't. Even our checks and boxes took forever. They did go above and beyond and find a way to add protein (chopped up burger patty) to my friend's nachos. Which was nice, but then made me wonder if their burgers are freshly made or if they make them ahead of time. You wouldn't think getting ground beef added would be that hard, but either way, after initially saying no she did come back and say they could do it. The food: the food wasn't as good as I remembered! The burger was large, too large for my mouth, but was lacking in the favor department. I was a little bummed. The fries were fresh and delicious though! The nachos they put ground beef on for my friends were good, but they didn't cook the ground beef all the way. It was VERY pink. For a burger maybe that is okay, but ground beef on nachos should probably be cooked all the way. They also don't have very much cheese on them. The ambiance: it was as Wisconsinburger as it gets! It's fun, lovely, retro, and Wisconsin-like. The atmosphere could bring people in alone. It's a great vibe. Especially the beer fridge. I'm a vegetarian and was really looking forward to trying the portobello mushroom sandwich, but it was honestly terrible. It was overly juicy in the worst way--so much liquid soaked into the bread that it turned completely soggy and unappetizing. I also ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer, and they were extremely greasy and oily--not enjoyable at all. My boyfriend got a burger and had his own issues. It was overcooked, dry, and somehow still flavorless. He said it tasted stale, like it had been sitting around too long. We both ordered milkshakes--mine was chocolate, and it barely had any chocolate flavor. There were ice chunks in it too, like it wasn't blended properly. I am from Green Bay WI and I know my cheese curds. Wisconsinburger's deep fried cheese curds taste JUST LIKE they were made in a Wisconsin tavern. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of WI with tables made from bowling lane floors. The vibe there is quite laid back. A wonderful neighborhood burger joint with a friendly staff, great burgers and a fun atmosphere. I ordered the Manitowoc burger with bacon and I was not disappointed. Perfect temp and great flavors. I want to call out the mushrooms for enhancing the flavor and texture of the burger. I would recommend adding the lemon horseradish aioli dipping sauce for your fries, it was an unexpected treat with citrus kick that complimented the seasoning. My only regret was not having enough time to try the house made frozen custard, but that gives me another reason on top of the burgers to visit agian when I return to Spokane.
