    Spooner Burger

I haven't been here in years and was so excited to go back! Let's start with the service: it was SO SO slow. We got sat and probably waited 25 minutes for someone to come over. They were busy, it was lunch time, but it still seemed excessive. While the server was there, she was great, but it was definitely hard to get anything when she wasn't. Even our checks and boxes took forever. They did go above and beyond and find a way to add protein (chopped up burger patty) to my friend's nachos. Which was nice, but then made me wonder if their burgers are freshly made or if they make them ahead of time. You wouldn't think getting ground beef added would be that hard, but either way, after initially saying no she did come back and say they could do it. The food: the food wasn't as good as I remembered! The burger was large, too large for my mouth, but was lacking in the favor department. I was a little bummed. The fries were fresh and delicious though! The nachos they put ground beef on for my friends were good, but they didn't cook the ground beef all the way. It was VERY pink. For a burger maybe that is okay, but ground beef on nachos should probably be cooked all the way. They also don't have very much cheese on them. The ambiance: it was as Wisconsinburger as it gets! It's fun, lovely, retro, and Wisconsin-like. The atmosphere could bring people in alone. It's a great vibe. Especially the beer fridge. All-in-all it will probably be another six years before I go back again, but I'll certainly go back someday!

Incredible cheese curds and vanilla custard ice cream. Staff was a bit scattered/disorganized and there was limited seating, but food was deliciously flavorful and served hot and fresh. Also loved the ciders/beers on tap and juicy burgers!

I'm a vegetarian and was really looking forward to trying the portobello mushroom sandwich, but it was honestly terrible. It was overly juicy in the worst way--so much liquid soaked into the bread that it turned completely soggy and unappetizing. I also ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer, and they were extremely greasy and oily--not enjoyable at all. My boyfriend got a burger and had his own issues. It was overcooked, dry, and somehow still flavorless. He said it tasted stale, like it had been sitting around too long. We both ordered milkshakes--mine was chocolate, and it barely had any chocolate flavor. There were ice chunks in it too, like it wasn't blended properly. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. We won't be coming back.

Lots of seating options. Located in a more residential area, so parking is around the neighborhood. Packer approved establishment. The slider burger had a lot of flavor and nice battered onion rings not too greasy.

Drink cooler with tons of options (alcohol AND non-alcoholic)

When you want a really good hearty burger (or sometimes bratwurst!) this place is a great bet. They offer fried cheese curds YUM, serious onion rings, a variety of burgers and some brats. Such a great spot tucked in the Perry neighborhood. In the back are a couple of old school arcade games (PAC man and Mario!) so bring your quarters. The drink offerings are impressive and the glass front coolers showcase a rainbow of options. There is not a kids menu, but just pick a 'Merica slider for a simple cheeseburger that will seriously spoil your kiddo. Please take my advice and don't skip their frozen custard. Once you have it you'll offer to bring me one in thanks.

Online Menu prices NOT accurate. Online says burger is $10 BUT when you get there it's $18. This is NOT Fast-food because Good Food takes time! Beef was good, really good! Fries and pickle were a nice treat. Everything, including the potato salad tasted fresh too. Service was Spokane-like: friendly, helpful, and attentive! Tip: If Perry District is TOO FULL, Yelp-direction your guests over five, blocks. They have a fun, open atmosphere, easy/free street parking and seating.

We were from out of town so, we figured we try the Wisconsin burger. We'll, I wish we would have passed on this place!! First off, WAY OVER PRICED for a typical "hamburger". Don't get me wrong, they look amazing and what little taste we had of them they were just OK. One of the burgers was way under cooked so much ( see pic ) that it looked like it was flipped one time. Basically, cooked black and blue. Just a suggestion, ask the guest how they would like it cooked! ( $56. And some change ) for just 2 burgers and a side and no drinks. Homemade potato salad is just a dry red smashed potato.

Tractor Pull is the best turkey burger I've ever had! And the cheese curds with caramel candied bacon were awesome!

Meh. Joined some friends there last night and I had the Milwaukee monster and fries. Overall everything was just "ok" at best.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.
