Super delicious food. Their truffle smash burger was great and I loved the truffle aioli. We got the pickle fries which were super yummy, a bit strong but still good. They also had pickle aioli which was fun because I've never had one before. It was good. Overall good foods service was great too. They are located however in the Wonder building which is a bit inconvenient and loud. We only ended up there because the places we tried were too full. But the food was definitely worth it. They should definitely open up their own shop and I would frequent there. $5 for a 24 oz soda is wild tho. read more

We were looking for a new spot for our Chiefs pre-game meal and decided to hit Victory Burger. We were immediately impressed with the size of the space, holding tables and diverse family entertainments. Including: ping-pong, chess, tables for card gaming, a giant Jenga set and cornhole boards. All of these were in use during our visit on a late Sunday afternoon. I had a victory burger with fries and my wife enjoyed a truffle burger. We split a salad. The salad was full of diverse fresh ingredients and a tangy dressing. The burgers were hot and fresh and there were a variety of condiments provided. The barbecue sauce went great with the fries! An added surprise was the owner/manager working that day. he took the time to approach us near the end of our meal to inquire about our satisfaction with the food and service. We have enjoyed the exceptionally good burgers and salads here at Victory while taking in our favorite football games on their big screens. The only thing that was missing was something for my sweet tooth. THEN, GUESS WHAT! They just started carrying these amazing HYOOGE tasty cookies. Came here on a Friday to finish the work week. The fries were delicious IF you don't get the dill seasoning. Don't do the dill unless you love dill. The burger was okay. Nothing spectacular - sort of like a burger you'd get at the fair (which I very much enjoy in the summer). My favorite part about eating here was the building and how cool it looked. We had heard that this establishment had opened in last few days in the old Wonderbread building. Although the building is labeled as 'Wonderbread' we could not find anything that indicates Victory Burger was inside. A little searching and we found the very large commons area that houses Evans Brothers Coffee and Victory burger, along with cornhole game areas, ping pong tables, giant Jenga games, and a smattering of metal tables and chairs. Victory Burger is located at the west end of the space. Ordering is done at the stand up counter/bar and your name is yelled out when the food is ready. The whole set up seemed odd to me, but I'm also old and maybe not used to what the younger crowd is looking for. We had the deluxe American smash burger and southwest smash burger. Both come with deliciously seasoned crinkle fries that were cooked perfectly. While the burgers were very tasty, they are clearly pre-made patties that aren't that far off from a BK or McD's patty. There are no smash burger 'crusties' that you would expect on a burger associated with the 'smash' technique. The goodness came from the quality ingredients that topped the burger, including the perfectly toasted bun. No table service here, all help yourself. No soda fountain, soda can and cup of ice given when going for a pop. Metal seating was pretty uncomfortable and during the time we were here it was on the very loud side. Full concrete floor and brick walls will do that though. I would say this was a decent first visit, but at $12-14 per burger, I think I'd stick with my favorite - five guys. I guess if I was already in the area I might stop here again, but likely wouldn't make a trip just to settle a burger fix. read more

Located in a fun game hall with tons of seating, this place is perfect for a casual hangout. Came by on a Tuesday for dinner and there were a few other people there but otherwise pretty empty for how big the space is. Ordered local beers ($7/pint) and the victory burger ($12) and the bulldog burger ($13) at the counter and sat down to wait for our food. The food took a while to prepare despite our orders being the only ones in, but the cooks weren't slacking or anything, seemed like they were just doing a careful job and making each meal fresh. The cook brought our food to us which was nice and unexpected because other people had their names called to grab their food. Ordered the bulldog burger, but got the cowboy burger. Oh well. The bun was a little dry for my taste, but the rest of the burger was good, just your typical burger with a thin patty, cheese, onions and pickles, and a little lettuce. Big fan of the dill crinkle cut fries, which came in a big portion, and victory dipping sauce. Last straw was ordering a (now $15) base model hamburger, discovering they no longer offer a gluten free bun on the menu, picking the burger up, bringing it home, discovering an overcooked plain patty on some chunks of wilted lettuce: no fries, no sauce, no ketchup even. Literally a dry burger patty and a pile of putrid lettuce for $16.35 with tax. Easily the most unacceptable attempt at cuisine I have ever experienced. The burgers were mediocre at best, they were supposed to be on a sourdough bun but I stead it was like a 99 cents for 8 pack of Safeway buns. They up charge for basic sauces and don't offer them when you order, and since they don't take cash, you have to ring another credit card charge for a basic ass sauce you should have been offered in the first place. Staff were nice but once I was paid up the front counter person disappeared and the guy behind the grill, despite having nobody else he was cooking for seemed disinterested in helping me get ranch (I was going to just pay, but the helpless "uh, I do t know where she is" response to if he can take my money and give me some sauce was absurd at best). It seems small but was kind of it for me. My partner said their burger was the worst they've ever had, they'd have rather gone to McDonalds after about 3 bites. We did both like the fries. Had classic toppings of lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles and American cheese. Came with dill fries and dill aioli which was the only redeeming part. Consider renaming it Victory Fries. Crispy, salty, dilly deliciousness! Also got a Cesar salad which was fine. Bummed the burger wasn't better considering it's a fairly expensive burger joint. Got beer, one shot of Tito's ($10) and a double tall Tito's soda($17) and a Miller high life with the meal and it totaled $56+ tip. This review is intended to apply to one specific employee of the Wonder Building. Victory burger itself has some great employees and food. I love the wonder building and have been coming there to play ping pong for the last couple of years on a somewhat regular basis. However, there is a blonde middle aged woman employee that is extremely hostile to people that are trying to enjoy the public space. Tonight, we were playing on the only available table and we only had access to one ball. After around 5 minutes of playing, we lost the ball behind the victory bar where this woman was making drinks. I respectfully asked her if we could get the ball back, and she said no. It was literally sitting on the ground right by her feet. This woman has been passive aggressive to us in the past,but this was just a blatant attempt to get us out of the building. We left, but there were some kids that came up to use the table after us and they were sad to see there was no ball to use. I hope she didn't have such a rude reaction to them asking for the ball too. Hope she can get some customer service training and come to the realization that the ping pong tables are not purely decorative. read more

I am handicapped and a friend helped me return to this place because I had bought a Hot Mocha a couple weeks before and it was good. Yesterday during Hoop Fest I ordered a larger one. Since I can't carry my drink my friend carried it for me. When we got to a place outside to sit and she handed it to me I discovered it was barely lukewarm. It was awful. I couldn't return it myself. It took me a day to locate their phone number to talk to them. Today I finally got through and talked to someone who gave the phone to Danielle. I could hear her making fun of me. She looked at an order for iced coffees and laughed and I could hear them saying it took her a whole day to figure out an iced coffee was warm. I ordered a HOT MOCHA. Hockey puck burger which was still in the perfect disk in which it no doubt came out of the freezer as (pretty sure if you are going to call it a Southwest Smash, you should at least smash it a little). Kind of feels like they are phoning it in and hoping the brand recognition carries it through but there are lots of locally owned places doing it MUCH better. I was there for a work party and the food was over salted and horribly cooked, they left one person on line and didn't seem to care about the quality of service. I feel like the person that was doing the orders was absolutely neglected and should have been helped and not dealing with the full brunt of the party. I met the manager she is very sweet but she seems like she is very uncaring when it comes to her employee needs. Things seem to be not put together it seems as though they are not a team and like single unity. I have worked in the restaurant field and I know how it is ran and the business is failing and they need to pick each other up and figure out how to run a corporation also know how to answer a phone please and thank you, PSA if you are going to be a cook make sure you know how to follow cooking instructions or learn how to make quality food. Also I love the food that comes out when the one person is there don't know there name but I do know they put there heart and love in for the costumers satisfaction. I guess I'm not trendy enough to pay out $50 bucks for 2 burgers with fries and two beers, top that with a $5 dollar tip to place my order with the cashier at the counter, then get up from an uncomfortable chair and walk back to another counter to retrieve my order when my name is called out, then walk with my order back to the uncomfortable chair. Then get up again for napkins at even another counter and bus my own tray when I'm done. WHEW!!! And it only cost me $55 bucks! The burger and fries were good, but nothing special. Can't beat an IN-N-OUT double double burger with animal fries and a chocolate shake anywhere around here for a great burger meal, and for less than $12 dollars.
