I was recommended to try this place by a co-worker and decided to order two of their sandwiches which was talked up by several reviews here on Yelp. I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go. read more

Even on my first visit, this place made me feel like a regular. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and the service is genuinely great. We ordered the chips and the charcuterie board--both were absolutely delicious and perfect for sharing. I tried the pear seltzer and loved it so much I ended up having four. Four-Eyed guys is a locally owned and operated restaurant that puts the love back into cooking. We were immediately welcomed by the owner who not only took the time to explain the menu but also made us feel like we were guests in her home. Her hospitality was only outdone by the flavor packed sandwiches. Our family ordered the Fancy Pants Sando, The Fig and the Italian and each were delicious and surprisingly light. I especially appreciated that the chips were served with an onion dip, such a simple yet tasty treat! We can't speak to the beer but I imagine, with the care put into the food, that the brewing process must also be excellent. Ambiance was lovely, with plenty of parking out front. read more

We were running out of time to grab some food before coaching basketball game at Shadle Park HS... thankfully we stumbled upon Four Eyed Guys. Fun small environment with tons of green plants to warm up. Sadly no beer partaken, but that Fig Turkey was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. WOW! This place is a must if you're ever in Spokane! Hillary and her husband are absolutely amazing people who make really good food, beer and seltzer. The Fig, which is their best-selling sandwich was delicious! Also tried their cotton candy seltzer and it was scrumptious - wasn't too sweet. Hillary let me also try the strawberry basil and mango lemonade, which were incredibly yummy. They also sell their crafted drinks, so you can take a 4-pack home with you. My hubby and I live in Moses Lake/Ephrata area, so we have to travel for some fun since there's not much to do near us. During our drive I found this place and we HAD to check it out! I had 2 flights, and I must say I am not the beer drinker, but with the variety of beer, cider and seltzers, I have to admit that I have never visited a brewery that carried so many options that I would actually drink. I liked everything I tried and the lowest I would rate any of the beverages was a 3.5 and that's just based off my preference. My husband was drinking the IPAs and he enjoyed them as well. We ordered the fig and the Italian sandwiches and they were both great. They came with chips and an onion dip which was a nice touch. The one guy working checked on our table frequently and was quite knowledgeable and attentive! This was a really fun stop! The atmosphere and decor at this taproom is really cool! It seems very popular with locals and a few groups were enjoying their libations a lot making this place really loud! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had two beers from this brewery and enjoyed both of them! We had a very delicious PB &J Sour which I'm always excited in getting this flavored beer! I also got a very impressive Vienna Lager which is another beer I enjoy getting sometimes as they are flavorful and light and this one held up to that quite nicely. In a quest to get to know Spokane, we tried this place out for lunch. I'm absolutely smitten. :) The ambience is so chill and welcoming, and the owners and staff are incredibly friendly. I think we sampled 6 beers before committing to anything, and then were also treated to a sample of the strawberry basil seltzer. The Samantha blonde beer (made with brown sugar and apple cider) was delicious, as were the strawberry pale (I think Kelly?) and the stout (don't remember the name, but the description was Count Chocula, and that was legit). We tried the house pickled veggies, the butter board, the smoked salmon sando, and the veggie pita, and everything was delightful! Welcome to Four Eyed Guys and brewery visit #196. We needed a beer and lunch so we specifically picked a local brewery that had food. FEG is in a little strip mall just a stones throw from another brewery if you want to do a brewery crawl. Small inside but very welcoming, and at about 1:30 on a Wednesday only a few people here. It has a big toll up door at the front with a moveable bar for seating so you can watch the world go by. FEG had 9 beers on tap as well as about 6 seltzers. I don't drink seltzers so if you want a review of those...go away! I picked out a flight of 5, whole SWPFTD went with the Vienna Lager, which was also on my flight. The Vienna lager was a great example with very clean flavors. The IPL tasted a little dank. Just not my flavor. Moving on quickly! The Imperial Pilsner was much more to my style. Much more flavor than a traditional Pilsner of course but not overwhelming. This is Mai Tai sour is one even SWPFTD thought was pretty good and she doesn't like sours. Not too much sour on the nose and a very pleasant sour on the tongue. Last for me is the blueberry lavender sour on nitro. That seems like an awful lot to mix together. And it is a lot to mix together. The lavender takes over on the aroma and flavor and to us tasted a bit soapy. More blueberry, less lavender for me please... As for food we ordered the Fancy Pants Turkey Sando. This was great with a berry jam and a spicy BBQ aioli. Great food! So for me, two of the five beers I tried didn't work for me. The blueberry lavender sour was a big no for me. Service was great, food was great, the Vienna lager was really good. We did enjoy our experience but I focus on the beer and at least two I didn't find appetizing. It's hard to judge a blueberry lavender on nitro on style guidelines though. I will absolutely return and try again when there are some different beers on tap. As I mentioned the Vienna lager was quite good and I think shows skill. I review breweries based mostly on the beer since that is why I visit. The food was excellent. Try the Fancy Pants Turkey sandwich! read more
