Not sure what's changed but the last two times we've been here they waited until they brought out one of our meals to tell us that they couldn't make the other meal. We ended up having to order something else and waiting for that to come out, then they ended up bringing out the original order as a to go (which we did appreciate). We came in for a burger, and left an hour later with the explanation that there was a large takeout order being prepared. We should have been given that explanation when we first came in. My friend and I took a drive out to Suncrest to try out 291 Brewhouse. She wanted to try their strawberry salad and I thought it was a place to try new beers brewed onsite. One came to fruition. We went on a Tuesday and unbeknownst to us, they do a bingo game. We might actually venture back to give it a try. Because of the crowd inside, we gladly found our way to their patio. It was nice, enclosed with several tables and even fire tables that would be beneficial on a colder night. It wasn't cold when we were there, so they just added some ambience. I had decided to try a beer, but ended up with a Space Dust (IPA). That was my disappointment for the evening. Not a lot of IPA choices. Didn't ask about the other (non-IPA) draft beers. They do not brew any beer. We both got salads and both were great. My friend went with their Strawberry Spinach Chicken Salad. The raspberry vinaigrette was REALLY sweet. After a few tries to get the servers attention she got a side of ranch. The ranch cut the sweetness of the raspberry vinaigrette and she said it was an amazing combination. I went with their Ahi Poke salad and it was great! The dressing was a little too sweet for me. It had great flavor though. But, I didn't even need dressing. My salad was very tasty. I haven't been out that way in 40(ish) years, but it was as beautiful as I remember. Far less that expected. The menus looked great. All downhill from that point on with the exception water was served and was the best part of the meal. The servers couldn't explain why something on a menu no longer was provided. The dinner menu succeeded the lunch menu at 3PM. When asked for it I was told they don't have one, huh? She indicated they had a $16 burger for $10 or 3 tacos with a $2 upcharge for fries. The fries totally sucked were mushy and under fried. Never asked if we wanted a beverage although it was 80+ degrees outdoors where we were. Had to ask about an overhead menu inside for a happy hour $5 beer special. Was told they no longer do that. Nothing happy about the experience whatsoever. The $10 burger was about $3 in value or zero after one. I had to flag down the servers each time in order to ask questions. Now if they only could have provided answers that may have given this another 1/2 star. Not likely! read more

Moved here a year ago and been here several times. Always good food and service. Fun to sit outdoors in the summer. Wish they had a better whiskey selection but it's a Brewhouse! I want to love it here, but why drive so far to be disappointed? There were 4 of us, dinner time and not too busy. My waffle was burnt and fries were cold. The chicken inside was good tho. Half our food came out, then we waited 20 min for the other 2 meals. Our nachos were great, but the brisket taco was not so great. The food I can be ok with, but our waitress was avoiding us. When she came by and I told her about my waffle and cold fries, she said she noticed but sent it anyway.....but why??? She said she would comp my meal which was awesome, then got busy. After watching her check a customer out then stand and talk, and talk, and talk...we got tired of waiting so got up to leave without my husbands box. She caught us at the table and said she had to have someone run for boxes because she didn't have any available and was gonna see what happened. I was cordial till she lied, im not a huge fan of liars. We were watching the whole time. So, thank you for comping my meal but really!!?? Dont blame others for forgetting your customers. First the good stuff: The food is pretty good. Yummy sweet potato fries, good brisket, good pesto on the chicken pesto panini. The less good stuff: Service is erratic. Sometimes it's great, sometimes meh. Ambience is poo, always awful Auto-Tune junk country music too loud. When people go out they want to talk, not shriek over crappy manufactured music. The less good stuff is not a deal-breaker. I'm all growed up and I know how to ask to turn the horrid music down, and I'm not shy about hunting down a missing server. Went with the family to visit the 291 Brewhouse, as the daughter just got a new job out there. Pretty simple, scenic drive from Spokane. I've heard there is plenty of deer in the evening, so be careful. The decor of the place is pretty awesome, very casual, family-friendly. If your looking for a quiet place this isn't for you. For me, it's great. There was a great deck outside for outside dining, but at the time it was pretty chilly. Our service was immediate. We started with the Gorgonzola Fries which were delicious. My main meal was the 291 Honey Garlic Burger.. Very, very tasty. Just the right amount of garlic and honey and not overwhelming. My wife ordered the Brewhouse Brisket Panini. She said it was tasty as well. For a nice relaxing atmosphere and great food, I would recommend this little outpost at Nine Mile Falls. read more

We made a short trek from Spokane out to Suncrest for the seasonal beverage flight (and a surprise bonus of Gorgonzola fries). I would describe the fries as dank, in the best way! They were incredible. The drinks, which were why we stopped in to begin with, exceeded our wildest dreams. The flight included a maple waffle latte, a banana bread chai, French hot cocoa, and a Dubai chocolate matcha. We especially enjoyed the chai and the matcha. Incredible! Possibly the worst service. It's a great day and the vibes were on point. I saw tables that were seated after us get their beverage/food before us. I was willing to be patient and order our own drinks from the bar. Still no service. Finally was greeted by the server after 15 minutes, all the while still getting our own drinks from the bar. Wonderful food and great service! I had the Ahi Poke Salad and it was amazing. Greens were very fresh as was the tuna. The dressing was delicious. Okay - I bummed with myself for not remembering to take any photos... no wait I took one of the bathroom because it was so cute, AND clean. The reason why I didn't take any photos was because I didn't remember, I didn't remember because I was so distracted with so many cute and fun things to look at! And by the time I was done "oooh-ing" and "awe-ing" our food was at the table. (Insert husbands shout over to me to hurry it up in the 'for sale' merchandise corner of the brewhouse). Haha Anyways the food was so amazing and so quickly to hit our table next thing I know our belly's were full and our plates barely had a crumb left on it. And no, I did NOT lick my plate although I totally would have if there was a lot left behind ‍ haha Prices are also perfect especially when you have kiddos in tow! I will, and have already, started recommending this place to everyone I know! We brought our two kids with us as well, ages 4 and 1, and their menu and atmosphere was over accommodating for us. Literally the worst service a restaurant could possibly offer. No one brought us waters - we had to ask twice before they remembered, and that took about 25 minutes. We waited 40 minutes for our food, another 30 for the check and had to ask multiple times to get that, too. The staff is more interested in socializing with the friends and family who come through, than servicing guests they don't know. And, truthfully, the food is nothing to write home about. I'm fully convinced the sole reason they are still in business is because they are the only restaurant within 15 miles. Note: This is my second visit. The first time I wrote it off as an "off day," but it's not. The place just sucks. read more

Great little spot to meetup with friends, date night or family dinner. It can get pretty loud inside but when the weather is nice they have a great outdoor patio. Sitting outside is the best! I look forward to getting a bite to eat and listening to several musicians that perform at the brewhouse. For food I love their tacos, nachos (they are huge!) buffalo chicken salad and the burgers are my favorites. Service can be hit or miss. The servers are super nice but even when they are slow it can take a while to get your food. If I could recommend something to them it would be some kind of air cleaner and vent. If I eat inside I always end up going home smelling like everything they cooked that night. read more

We had a brisket sandwich, gorgonzola fries, and the hummus plate. I was extremely disappointed with the sandwich. It contained only a few small pieces of meat with some shredded cabbage and carrots on doughy panini bread. The bread was so bad I removed the meat and ate it alone, leaving the bread on my plate. The fries were equally disappointing. The fries themselves were limp and soggy. The gorgonzola sauce had good flavor but it lacked many actual cheese chunks. Regarding the service: the waiter was friendly and responsive but I was there on Friday, June 26, 2020, the day the governor's order to wear face masks went into effect. Neither our waiter nor any of the other staff were wearing masks. I found this concerning since it seemed to demonstrate a lack of concern for their patrons, of whom there were many. To begin with I was disappointed they didn't brew their own beer. Having Brewhouse in the name threw me off a bit but that's on me, not their fault. The service was okay I got the Club Wrap with chips. The wrap was green, I'm guessing some kind of spinach based tortilla. It was small and the meat was dry. I got the impression it had been made the day before. Did I say it was small? Yeah it was cut in half but considering the size it was unnecessary. The sprinkling of potato chips I got must have been the remnants from the bottom of the bag. Small, broken pieces. The Mrs had the 3 piece chicken strips. Actually I think she got 5 but only because they were such small portions. From my point of view they looked overcooked but I didn't ask and she didn't say. She also had the sweet potato fries ($1.50 extra), and although I didn't dump them out of the tiny little wire basket they were in to count them, there couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 pieces in there and some of them looked over cooked (burnt on the ends). But it was a nice 22 mile drive to get there but that won't happen again. Not with the quality/quantity of what they're serving. Have noticed in reading some other reviews that management never responds. Guess they don't read Yelp reviews or they don't care. read more
