The restaurant has a rustic, lodge-style feel that fits the menu really well, and everything was very clean and comfortable. Our wait staff was attentive from the beginning and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. My wife ordered the Prime Rib Dip, which was really good and came with a generous portion. I went with the bison burger cooked medium rare, and it was outstanding, easily one of the better burgers I've had. Given that Rusty Moose puts a lot of emphasis on burgers, steaks, and wild game, the bison burger felt like exactly the right thing to try on a first visit. I also had a side Caesar salad, which was fresh and nicely done. We finished with cheesecake, which was surprisingly light and not overly rich or heavy. We ended up sitting and talking with our friends for about two hours, and even after the meal was finished, the staff continued to check on us and never made us feel rushed.
