A place to relax and enjoy a quality brew. You can sit at the bar and make friends or, sit at a table with your loved ones. The bartenders are very friendly and will advise you on the beers. They are very knowledgeable. They know their beers! It's made right there. I believe there are 20 on-tap. They have home-brew bottles as well. They sell beer drinker's comfort food; sausages, potato chips, etc., along with all the fix'ens. The range of types of beers is phenomenal. From light, to medium to dark stouts. All are listed with their alcohol content. I saw one the other day that was over 12%! The strong ones linger around 7 or 8%. Beer types change as they brew more. My friends and family hosted my 30th birthday here! Oh my goodness. First I have never had a party thrown for me and this place was perfect, and it was POPPIN'. Dirty Thirty at Bellwether plzzzzz. Anyway the owners of this spot are so rad. They booked the space to my husband and my friends after a couple different missed dates and it was awesome. The architecture of the building and the cool banquet space was set up so perfectly. I had about 40 to 50 people ebb and flow throughout the night and that was dope. The bartender kept the drinks flowing. Now I had beer lovers in my party and they loved the beer but there were quite a few of us that don't drink beer - so we went with this gorgeous pink grapefruit cider and it was so fun to see all these pink drinks around my pink party. Also pro tip - don't have hard liquor at your birthday party because this set up let us let loose without being messy, you know cause' we're 30 now. Overall, awesome space - we brought our own food and a lot of it. The party was so good and coming here when it is summer season, that patio is fun too. Enjoy! read more

A group of us stopped into Bellweather as part of our Brewery tour. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. There is a small outdoor seating area to enjoy on warm days. Indoors has plenty of seating. Bellweather offers wine for non-beer drinkers. Light bites can be ordered to pair with ones beer. My wife had a Cochinito amber for $6 and I had a Golden Nuggz IPA for $6. Neither of us were impressed with our beer choices. Bellweather showcases different but interesting drawings on their walls. These drawings were the highlight of my stop into Bellweather. Bellweather looks and feels unfinished. Staff was friendly enough. Overall, I'm glad that we had the chance to experience this brewery one time. read more

I'm torn. Really good sour beers, but crappy service. Interesting, adventurous, taplist. Bartender and bar back too busy talking to people to serve customers and taking orders from people who hadn't been waiting before people who had been waiting a long time to get any service. If you like beer and history you have to go there as they are bringing historical brewing back. This is my girlfriend and my favorite place to go any time! We even got our Valentine's Day nightcap here (which they had a great dessert and beer flight that night that was really amazing!) But my favorite thing about this place is the energy or vibe. The owner is such a great person and it shines in the whole atmosphere of the bar! Every time that we are there, everyone is always having fun! We have met some awesome friends here and had a lot of laughs! This brewery is probably my most favorite on my trip to Spokane last weekend to take in the Chinese Lantern Festival and tour around at the craft breweries in the area. The bartender was super friendly and very personable! He brought out the social out of everyone there! Really a nice guy! Continuing to stick with lighter ABV beers I got a ginger blonde which was fantastic! I would have definitely gotten another but there were other breweries to visit. Dave alone is a reason for five stars. He personally greeted everyone with a handshake and a proper name introduction, a courtesy not commonly found anymore. Not only was Dave fantastic, this place had really cool decor and a good selection of beers. I ended up getting the rye wine (9%). It was as tasty as it was strong! I went in for a growler fill during an early afternoon. The staff there is always friendly, whether there is 25 or only 3-4 people there. Bellwether is a great place, I loved how clean and modern it is. They have ample beer and ciders on tap. It's really cool because they have a huge roll top door they keep open and lets the nice weather in. They offer different types appetizers which are good and go well with the alcohol. I tried a few beers and all were good, however, they have a beer I tried that I haven't seen anywhere else, they called it "Dew of the Sea" it was really exceptional, it was a porter cider. I definitely recommend this place and hope that people give that beer a try. Also as a side note, the parking is ample and the bathrooms are very clean and private which is really nice. read more

Update: We went back to Bellwether to give it another chance and were so pleasantly surprised we went back again. The customer service was excellent and the unique beers. Now we can confidently recommend this establishment to anyone yearning for a unique beer. We went to Bellwether about a year ago and were disappointed in the service, beer and over all vibe of the restaurant (like when you talk to the person next to you, you feel like everyone can hear you sort of vibe). We thought today, "you know what let's give Bellwether one more try". Unfortunately, we sat down and waited for over 10 minutes before we finally walked out. The one server working today (same guy from last time with the very poor customer service) was talking to the people at the bar that he had already served (clearly just socializing with them and they were the only other patrons besides us) while we sat there and waited and waited.. didn't say hi, just nothing. Treated us like we didn't exist and clearly was much more interested in chatting with his friends at the bar. Needless to say, we are done with Bellwether. Finally made it in here and was very pleased! Bellwether is charting territory no other local brewery is attempting and it was really exciting to see all the diversity of beer on their taps. They specialize in Old World beer and the bartender really knew his stuff. He had lots of great commentary and was freely pouring samples so we could find just what we wanted. For those who don't love beer they had a cider, a mead, and three wines all on tap as well. (Yes, wine on tap!) One really unique thing they do is taking the spent grain from their brewing and having it made into bread, pretzels, etc by Alpine Bakery. What an awesome idea! They had a cheese plate, a panini, and a few other tasty looking treats on the menu too, although we didn't try anything I definitely will plan to next time. They do growlers in three sizes (including an adorable mini-picnic-worthy size called the Whisperer). read more

However, someone in our party was insulted by the waiter (presumably one of the owners) for being a finance major -- "I feel like you can't be a genius if you're a finance major". It's not like this was a shot to the heart, but we were more shocked as this was an unwarranted comment.
