This is a tiny little brewery and it looks very nondescript from the outside. It's hardly noticeable when you drive by it, I've driven up and down Monroe every other day for a long time and never gave it much thought. But I finally decided to check it out one day and I'm really glad I did!! It features really cool artwork from local artists, and the beer they serve there is very unique. I've never had anything like it. Some of them are very floral and they just taste different.... in a GOOD way. Not your typical shitty beer like bud light, etc, they serve alternative-tasting beer here and I'm all for it. My fiancé and I love coming here because we get to try something new every time, and it's a nice place to relax as the bartenders are really friendly and very knowledgeable of their beers, and always try to help you find something you will really like. read more

As someone who drinks beer for a living, I had 4 beers styles that I have never tried before. All their beers are Epic! Well the IPA is just ok. Very nice guys. They were brewing when we showed up and it smelled so good in there. It is the best 1 barrel beer I have ever had. It is not easy to brew that small and have great beer. Kid friendly. A fun relaxed place to explore different styles of beer. I am a fan of strong bitter imperial ipas (and very little else). Bellwether is all about experimenting with different beer styles. I have never been disappointed coming here even though this is not the place for IPAs. Today a braggot was my favorite. (I didn't know what a braggot was before today). My favorite thing about this place is that I am not afraid to ask questions. Everyone that I have dealt with behind the bar has been very helpful. I also met the farmer who grew the Egyptian purple barley that was in one of the beers. This is really an interesting place! Eat someplace and come here to explore beer! read more

I love this place! They have super friendly staff and a great environment. The beer is delicious and there is such a wide variety. The staff are also great at recommending beers. Flights are the best way to go if you like a wide range of different types. They do have some snacks, but the beer and service is what gets the 5 stars! Had an excellent visit with Dave on our way through town. Delicious brews and he made fantastic recommendations for both me and my husband. They had several dark beers and IPAs so we were both happy. Our first visit to Bellwether Brewery! Just opened a couple weeks ago. Trying the non-alcoholic ginger ale and root beer. Great! Next time definitely will be trying the craft beers. Went here for our 1st time last sunday. Cute small.brewery. I enjoyed an amazing baltic porter and the breakfast lager is delish. Shared a turkey pesto panini with my husband and it was very tasty and enough for 2 people to split. My daughter had the pretzels and a scoop of ice cream and loved it. Ty was very knowledgeable and fun to chat with. This place is clean, Kicked back, great, friendly and and has an inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be going back soon! read more

Went with a large group and experienced great service at this small new brewery. The server recommended the Patrick Horn American Brown, a mellow, rich brew. We met around dinnertime so I tried the turkey pesto petite panini with chips. Four hot, tasty little sandwiches to share. This is a convenient place to meet up with no worries about parking. Came in on a Saturday afternoon that was a bit quiet with a buddy of mine and sat at the bar with one of the co-owners working the counter. What a fantastic guy, very passionate about his craft, and proud of business. I was already digging the vibe before even taking a sip of the gruit he had recommended. What a trip! Definitely in the top 10 beers I've ever had in my life, and unquestionably the most unique. I had tastes of a smattering of the rest and was never disappointed. Do yourself a solid and try one of their historical brews, you'll be glad you did. The atmosphere is nice, though I think we came in on a weird day. When I've passed by before on a Saturday, there was a solid crowd, so I can't speak to what it's like on a busy night. Even if the place is empty, you are guaranteed a great experience.
