I am semi new to the PNW, but I have been here a handful of times now. The first time I came through the beer always mid with a couple not being drinkable. decided to come back about 6 months later and I can say they are more consistent in the good beer category. The brat I had was super tasty as well.

The very refreshing The Lion German IPA! Lovely beer to drink!

Another fantastic brewery from the Spokane area! The Lion is the beer that Sreve and I purchased here and we were very, very impressed with it! The Lion is what the brewery calls a "German IPA". What that means is that this beer had all German ingredients from the malts, hops and yeast. Since it was German hops you got to taste Magnum Hops, Hallertau Hops, Mittelfruh hops, Mandarina Bavaria hops and dry hopped Huell Melon hops. This mix of hops generates a new spin to the typical IPA. Flavor features with this are citrus, malty, hoppy and bitter. This beer was very refreshing, creative and unique! Big kudos to No Drought for making this beer!

LOVE this place. Their beer is amazing. Multiple dark beers. Magen and Damon are the best. Genuinely nice people. A family friendly place. Our kids even love to come. They have a lot of games that the boys love to keep them occupied. They have their own trading card too! The boys were just jazzed that Magen signed their cards. I cannot believe I haven't reviewed them yet. ‍ We come all the time!

Here we go...brewery visit #193! No Drought is in an unassuming little strip mall right next to a pizza place. ND has a good amount of seating inside and not only a solid number of their own beers on tap but several guest taps as well. A flight of four for me included: "Hedwig", a German Hefeweizen with that expected slightly clovey character with a bit of banana. A nice little hef for sure. "Kodiak" Kolsch is a nice light flavored beer. Good color, aroma, and flavor. "The Lion" German IPA had a very consistent hop aroma and flavor without too much bitterness. Last beer for me was the chocolate coffee stout on nitro. Nitro always seems to add that little something extra and in this case it was quite good. Chocolate on the nose and way more chocolate on the tongue with very light coffee. This was my favorite. Just a really good stout. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

Every beer we had a BBB was good. The brewer/owner was there so we got to talk with her awhile. Because I was lazy and didn't get this review done earlier I'm not giving a lot of detail. She did have a habanero beer, which was too spicy for me to drink a pint of but it's going to be perfect in some three meat brisket chili I'll be cooking up soon. Even if the beer was bad, you might still come here just for the vibe. Added bonus is that the beer IS good. We had a very solid IPA & coffee stout There was an odd experience of someone pulling into the parking lot, coming inside to use the restroom, then proceeding to cordially ask each table if they could spare $10 for gas money. Each table refused, she thanked everyone and left. Possibly a testimony to how welcoming the place appears.

Moo. This cow enjoys grazing at Bardic Brewing. It's a family-friendly brewpub in Spokane Valley…read morewith thoughtful craft drinks, good food, and a calm pasture where conversations don't have to compete with loud music or glowing TV screens. When this cow wanders in, there might be stouts being slowly savored near the fireplace, humans discussing ancient literature, a family laughing over a half-finished pizza, or a nearby table deep into a heated game of Magic the Gathering with ESBs and cider in hoof. It's cozy, communal, and usually feels just right. One thing this cow respects -- the beer here is strong, and it's not brewed for the weak. There's nothing on tap that isn't unique or intentional. That said, this also means Bardic isn't for everyone. The average beer drinker looking for a simple, easy-drinking West Coast IPA that isn't pushing 9% ABV may leave unsatisfied, and that likely eliminates a large portion of beer drinkers in the area. For adventurous palates, though, this place is a treat. Lately, this cow has noticed the welcome hasn't been quite as warm as it used to be. The beer and food remain excellent, but the last few visits felt a bit less friendly. A smile or a greeting would go a long way in restoring the inviting feel this pasture is known for. Nothing has soured, and this cow will return. I just hope the hospitality rises to match the boldness of the beer and the heart of the space -- because when it does, Bardic Brewing is a fantastic place to graze. Moo.

Imagine our surprise to find this location to be so much more warm & welcoming. Clearly, based on the theme, we are not among the target clientele, yet, you wouldn't know it based on service & customer interactions, many were regulars. Tons of games available & interesting decor. Here, I had a very tasty pineapple Cameo IPA. Being as I'm not usually an IPA fan, I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult. Either way, I was happy! The hubs had Cure Dark Wounds, which was also tasty but I liked mine better. We didn't order food but others were recommending selections and there were several pick up orders while we were there, so, probably worth a look.

This was also brewery #284 for me! Natural 20 has a nice sized taproom with a smallish bar at the front. It was pretty slow when we walked in which was cool for us as we got to chat with the gent working the bar and another guy that was there. I did not do a good job of reviewing each beer I tried because we were talking too much. That said I enjoyed the beers but weirdly I'm going to comment on the food more. SWPFTD ordered a pint while I got a flight. Of the ones I tried I liked Featherfall and Dual Spires the best. We also ordered some lembas bread with bacon and a bratwurst sandwich with bleu cheese, the Dracoliche. Really good! The people were super friendly, the vibe and beers were really good, and the food was solid. Score! I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

The Castor Muncher Coffee Kolsch was easily our favorite and was such a treat to have! Light and airy to drink just like how a kolsch is this version also has coffee notes to it which just made it out of this world! The other beer was the GenusTone. A lager which is practically my "go to" beer for anything anymore. This lager didn't disappoint and was great to drink... teasing the temptation to have more than one!
