Food is always great. Love this place. Frequent it quite a bit. One failure. I had a $213.00 bill. I tipped over 15% at $35. We had nachos and drinks. Without discussion, they added another $5 to the tip. Would have never known if it hadn't been on my business card. Finding out couple months later. If it ever happens again I will lose my mind and I will certainly bring the house down. I consider this stealing and in my neighborhood that doesn't fly. I work hard for my money. I was really disappointed with our experience. I ordered the rotating salad, and the lettuce had a big chunk bottom of a root and was rotten . It honestly looked as though it hadn't been properly rinsed or inspected before being served. I brought it to the waiter attention. Her attitude was careless. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was just as disappointing. The dressing had the consistency and taste of straight mayonnaise rather than a Caesar dressing, and the chicken was so overcooked and unappetizing that it was difficult to recognize as chicken. He couldn't eat it and ended up leaving the entire salad. We also ordered the brisket tacos. The slaw tasted as if it sat around for days ,the tortilla seemed to be thrown on the plate without being heated very doughy texture.The chicken was un recognizable. We did send that back. We were expecting fresh, quality food, especially something as simple as a salad. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant salads we've had. We hope the restaurant pays closer attention to the freshness of its ingredients and overall food quality. Bag lettuce I'm sure if and should have been clean and inspected. read more

Stopped here for lunch upon arrival. Selected because they allow dogs - even so, you never know what to expect. Everyone was very welcoming. They have a large covered patio (good for cold weather) where you can bring your dog. We were delighted at the menu as well. Delicious salsa starter. Then we both had yummy sandwiches. We've been coming here for over 6 years. Everything has always been consistent. The staff acknowledge and greet you as soon as you enter. There is plenty of seating - in the summer the patio is opened up and in the winter it's sealed off and they use heaters to keep it a nice temperature. They have weekly specials, which is one of the reasons we like to visit. Some of their regulars offerings like the Brie, Apple, & Bacon Sandwich or their Blue Cheese Salad are always enjoyable and full of flavor. We both ordered drinks, The Blood Orange IPA and the Huckleberry Sour. Both drinks were very good. The Blood Orange IPA stood out as it was super flavorful, refreshing, and makes sense why it is the most popular beer on the menu. We tried the full-sized Pulled Pork Nachos for dinner. The portion size was great for the price. Unfortunately, the flavor just didn't quite hit the mark for us. The nachos were a bit bland and could use a little more seasoning or sauce to tie it all together. We were in town on our way to Alaska. We stopped to get haircuts and the hairdresser recommended this place. I'm glad she did because we would never have found it otherwise, it's basically on a residential street. Parking is the only problem - you may have to park a block away in front of someone's house. But it's worth it. The menu was creative, the service friendly and the place had a real neighborhood vibe. It's probably sacrilege to say it in a review of a brew pub, but neither the wife or I like beer - any beer. But we keep trying beer to hope we will develop a taste for it. For Daft Badger Brewing I had the Flying Kiwi on two separate occasions. This is a Vienna style Lager with Kiwi at the forefront. I have had Kiwi beers in the past and usually I get along with them okay. This particular lager is light and clean with not too much sweetness which is something I prefer. My first outing with this lager was off the tap at the taproom which has a nice patio by the way. It's where I enjoyed this beer. The carbonation was good and the Kiwi highlight was pleasant and noticeable. I bought a can of the same, Flying Kiwi to take home. The carbonation was not comparable with what was in the can and what was off the tap. It really affected the flavor of the beer from the can and didn't taste all that similar to what I had off the tap. It still wasn't bad but the flavors seemed more muddled and not as distinctive as what the beer on tap tasted like. read more

There's always the perfect amount of cheese and I love the combination of red cabbage, sun-dried tomatoes, and olives. The beer lineup is great, too! Great little brewing spot that's placed a bit randomly in a neighborhood street (we thought we were in the wrong spot at first!). Really friendly staff, quality food that's priced reasonably, they were able to make a few alterations for our dietary needs. Soup was SO salty, but everything else was great and can't beat the price. Only regret was not tipping more!! Really enjoyed my lunch here while on a short visit to town. I had the bahn mi rice bowl and loved it, it was a great suggestion by my server to complement the chilly rainy day. I also had the house-made root beer, which was really tasty but not worth the price considering I didn't get a refill. Not sure if that was because refills cost extra or because my server just never refilled it. Food was definitely worth a visit and I would go back, but I do wish my server had been a tad more attentive - she did not check in on me after delivering my food, took a while after I was clearly done before asking if I wanted the check, and like I said, did not refill my soda or water, despite it being moderately slow.
