This place is pretty unique with a style of its own. It sure makes a difference when you notice the staff works together so harmoniously. The ladies were so friendly and welcoming. My son really enjoyed the Country Fried Breakfast (gravy was top notch) while my husband loved the Taco Omelette! I thought the Benny was just alright. Not that impressive. I had looked forward to trying this place for a while. Attempted to go today and was disappointed to say the least. We went in and with plenty of tables open were told there were no tables that could accommodate a stroller and me not being able to sit at a high top. One person on the staff tried telling the other they can make it work for the one to say do you want to deal with a handicapped person and a baby cause I don't. First experience was miserable. Understaffed and the staff that did finally serve us was incredibly rude. Simply because we had asked if she could take our order after being seated for 20 minutes and completely ignored. She complained about how backed up they were and how everyone decided to come in all at once (imagine people wanting to eat breakfast around similar times). Amazing from the moment we walked in. Big hello from the staff and a drink order taken before we hit the table. They knew we needed coffee and OJ. I had the biscuits and gravy w sausage and eggs. First of all, waited 20 minutes to place our order. Then, it took 20-30 minutes to get our food. The food is very greasy, very average, not flavorful. Tucked up on the corner of 4th and prairie. The inside was a little dark , nothing fancy or fun. There is "MOO" sound that goes off every 30 min or so. That's about it when it comes to the cow theme. The food was overpriced , small portions and mediocre at best. The waitress was kind, but after taking our orders she walked by once and said "it's good isn't it" and never came back to fill our drinks or ask if we needed something until she brought our check at the end. She hyped up the food like it was award winning. The French toast had no flavor , neither did the syrup that came with it , like it was watered down. The biscuits and gravy was a waste! The biscuits were a little hard and grainy and tasted like a gluten free option. The gravy wasn't that good either. The "homemade" sausage was a small glob of overcooked meat. Like a shriveled hamburger patty. The avocado Beny was decent. Although I don't know if a small dollop of avocado counts as "avocado" . The portions were small !! Our over all impression was good but I must admit when you go to pay, your options for tipping are 20%, 22% & 25%. I believe you can choose custom but that's not the point. We do always leave at least 20% but feel people should have a lower option. It's forcing you to choose 20% as the minimum. For this reason, we probably won't return. The food was good, not large quantities, moderately price, staff was very nice although service is quite slow. I do wish them well. read more

We tried another popular place, and the wait was going to be longer than my ADHD would allow, so Plan B turned out to be juuuust fine. Such nice folks here, and they were pretty busy on a holiday weekend, but a few things really impressed me. We were in and outta there in under 45 mins, and that's what we were looking for on a cruisin' morning. And--the food. It was amazingly hearty, yet lite at the same time. Breakfast all day is always a great start when going to lunch. Had the chicken fried steak and it was good eating. Paired it with an Irish Death beer. The potatoes were country style, well crisped so they were an acceptable alternative to my preference of shredded hashbrowns. There was only one person working but she was hustling and not letting the workload dampen her mood. She kept right on top of things even though she was slammed (an older lady with a heart of gold). Very professional. Food was delicious. I had a ham and cheese omelet and it was overflowing with ham which is unusual these days given food costs. The potatoes came with peppers and cheese, which was a nice touch. And every once in a while there would be a random MOOOOOOOOO. I honestly think she thought she already took out drink order and had a flakey moment,but the main reason is my breakfast (Benedict) came out before my husband and she said sorry his will be out soon we had an issue with the potatoes and then when she did bring it out they were clearly burnt. We didn't know what to say because it was so obvious. He didn't eat them and if course I felt guilty because mine was fine and it was if course my restaurant pick that day. This cafe is so cute Warm and inviting service Down home atmosphere I had a yummy cheese omelette and potatoes and it filled me up for a day of travel . In my tiredness I left my corrective glasses on table and did not realize I did until entering the airport in Spokane . I called the Stupid Cow Cafe and the wonderful server I had named Dawn had them . She told me she would send them to me as soon as she got off work! She even sent a tracking number .
