The food is so good but the team of folks they have working there are amazing! So chatty and friendly the entire time I was there. This goes to the top of places that I will go back to time and time again. Their apple cider is so good! The spices were a great blend with nothing too overpowering and not overly se read more

Our go-to brunch spot! Love the Aebleskivers (both the savory, meat ones, and the blueberry ones!). The fresh squeezed orange juice is sublime and the French press coffee is wonderful. They make everything from scratch and even sell whole loaves of sourdough bread. There's plenty of room -- we've never had to wait long for a seat. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Reasonable prices too with healthy (large) portions. Haven't had a bad menu item there so far! read more

This place is a gem. Local owned and family owned. The wait was only 15 minutes and that tells me quality food is inside since people don't cause a wait list for average food. Our waitress was the coolest person. Super nice, friendly, a total pro. She had tons of knowledge about how they make their food. The style is like warm, cozy, and not in your face obnoxious. The food was so good and delicious. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. We had to take leftovers home. It was so good. I even forgot to take photos and videos because we were so focused on this experience. This is my first 5 star review because it checked all my boxes. Everyone needs to come check this place out. read more

We were going to Spokane so I did a search for a breakfast place and this one popped up. We were greeted by the manager of the day and he was very nice and friendly. Our server was Diaca and we told her that we were from California, and this was the first time eating at this place. There was just so much to choose from. It was so hard. I had the dark French pressed coffee, and my husband had a regular medium coffee. Both were very good. I had the Loganberry crêpes, they were really full of cream. I had a side of fruit which I did not need. We got some samples of sausage Apple Skivers from the management, so tasty. My husband had an omelette and a choice of cinnamon roll. Needless to say we took it to go. Wish this place was in California. Everyone was just so friendly and it's a nice place. Very comfortable booths and not too noisy. Also I usually do not give a 5 star for breakfast. read more

More than just good food, and experience. Comfortable place and the waitress took time to explain the foods offered to us since it was out first visit. I look forward to getting back there at a less busy time of day with a friend to just hang out over a very slow meal and a long conversation. read more

This place is simply wonderful!!! Smells like heaven inside, warm cinnamon, baked bread, and coffee..... Warning, it gets BUSY! Plan ahead!!! There is a reason they are so busy! Farm fresh eggs, in-house baked bread, and the coffees!!! This is a must try! Lots of authentic German breakfast options. There are no bad choices here! Service is excellent! read more

I ordered a 3 egg ham and cheese omelet for $15.75. The omelet was dry and the ham shaved. It had very little flavor. The sourdough bread/toast they boast about, had little flavor. For the price they charged, it should have been larger and contained another meat some veggies. Fruit rather than hash browns was not an option. The carafe of coffee at $4.75, was just ok. My husband ordered the original eggs Benedict, the hollandaise was good he said. There was no toast and the hash browns were under cooked and not browned. Oh, and don't sit by the front door as they have an annoying door that bangs when opened and closed. Needless to say to say, I would not recommend this restaurant read more

Wow, what a treat! We arrived around 7:00am on a Friday and were seated immediately. I ordered the Munich omelette with rye toast and hashbrowns. My boyfriend ordered the European breakfast with sausage patties, hashbrowns, and sourdough toast. We also ordered the combo of aebleskivers, so we could try all three. Excellent: rye toast, the house made hot sauce, the raspberry jam, and the aebkeskivers, especially the sausage and cheese one. Very good: sourdough and shade grown coffee Good: Munich omelette (a bit overcooked) Okay: sausage patties Eh: hashbrowns were unseasoned and flavorless Service was excellent from start to finish, and the place was clean and comfortable. We'll be back! read more

The food was absolutely AMAZING, so freash, you wont experience this anywhere else. I doubt it. Service was very quick and very sweet. The ambiance is amazing! Its very full, but just beautiful furniture. read more

Absolutely loved this place. They were pretty busy during breakfast but that's to be expected. Decor inside is welcoming and warm. The serve explained the menu and specials and what they're known for. The food was some of the best, warmest, and fresh I've ever had for breakfast with great portions. This place is a real treat! read more

Service needed to be better. We ran out of water and needed more napkins. She never came by to ask if we needed anything. However, overall the brunch experience was great. I especially loved the delicious omelets and hashbrowns. Great spot to bring your family here. read more

My wife and I tried this on a recommendation from a friend. I didn't have high hopes, but was pleasantly surprised. Everything was quite delicious. First time at the Post Falls location. Was greeted at the entrance and seated quickly. Server was friendly and answered our food questions but told us she would take drink orders then come back for food order. My two kids were hungry and a bit disappointed they couldn't get the order started. She came back with two carafes of water and a pitcher of warm coffee. I wasn't planning on more than a cup so didn't bother to ask for hot coffee My daughter did not like the crepes and only ate a few bites but ate her bacon and grabbed a piece of my sons French toast. My son powered through the eggs, bacon and French toast. I didn't order was going to a lunch meet up later. My daughter accidentally spilled half a water carafe. Couldn't find anyone to help so a grabbed some paper towels from the reception stand and cleaned up the spill. When server returned with food we apologized for the mishap but she ignored taking the wet mess off the table. She came back at the end of our meal and when I told her my daughter did not like the crepes she asked her if she wanted something else but we declined. She then gave us the bill and said to have a nice day So we paid for the unwanted meal and I only tipped her on what we ate. We've gone to the Spokane location many many times and always received 5 star service. Moved to Rathdrum and looking forward their new location coming to Hayden. So better Post Falls location read more

I will start with the positive, the coffee & orange juice tasted good & the eggs were made just the way we ordered them. Our server was very mediocre, only check on us once & was slow to get back to us with drinks & our receipt. She was always kind when at the table, which was refreshing. The hash browns tasted like they had been frost bitten, thawed & cooked. We also decided to get a pancake with whip cream & strawberries. The pancake was average flavor, but the soggy strawberries were gross! When you're paying almost 4 extra dollars for strawberries & whip cream, I would expect fresh. Our bacon was good flavor but extremely thin. The ambiance was fine, just a normal breakfast place. Our bill was over $50 for 2 people. Expensive & not worth that cost. I don't mind spending money for good food , this wasn't it! read more

Terrible. Waitress was very rude. I swear my egg never saw a frying pan. Will never go back. I am 86 years old and that was the only time I was ever treated rude by a waitress. She threw my plate at the table, had to catch it or it would have slid off the table. read more

We heard amazing things about this place. Family owned, everything made from scratch, sweet and savory, and all things delicious so we had to swing by before leaving Idaho. The staff are so nice and shared a little bit about the history of the restaurant. Our group ordered different meals but what stood out to me were the Aebelskivers. I always try to make a point to order something unique about any restaurant I go to. The Blueberry as well as the Havarti Cheese & Sausage stuffed Aebelskivers did not disappoint and for those of us who did not order them (and because it was our first time there), they came by with a plateful of Aebelskivers for them to try anyway. You will not regret giving this place a try and I will definitely be going back when I'm in Idaho again! read more

Wonderful experience! A family owned business that takes pride in their history and heritage. Everything is baked from scratch and sourced locally. I recommend splitting a Dutch baby it was more than one person could eat in one sitting. Although, excellent re-heated in the over! We were even given a fresh sample of the sourdough and strawberry jam! We will be returning! read more

Highly Recommend: First time here. Restaurant clean. Waiter (Cameron) was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very patient and answered all of our questions. All food was delicious, fresh, and hot. We ordered: crepes, European breakfast, Dutch Ableskievers (spelling?), Austrian coffee. Manager Katy came to our table to chat and check on us. Gave us a complimentary cinnamon roll! read more

This place is so fun and has a lot of variety! Customer service is always welcoming and quick every time we come in. My son loves their breakfast items (I can't believe there's a free hotcake involved?) and I am a big fan of the potato pancakes and appelskievers. Sometimes it takes a bit for the food to come out but it is definitely worth it. The atmosphere is homey and inviting, and there is plenty of parking. read more

Wow the soup was so good. Crepes were amazing. I had the BLT and WOW!!! Elaine was so awesome. Will come back here 100%

We could not have been much more disappointed compared to our previous visit to this location. We came in on a damp, cold, rainy Sunday morning. We got on the list immediately. Wait for it ... and as more and more people came in, they were getting seated but we weren't. I asked the hostess where we were on that list because more recent additions were getting seated and we hadn't? "Oh, there you are, I've already called you twice and you never answered." ... Ummm, no, we were less than six feet away and you never called us at all. So, it was a good thing I asked. She summoned the person in the apron to "bus that table" and seated us immediately (at one of those tiny two-top mini-table things) RIGHT NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR (so our food didn't stand a chance of staying hot long enough to enjoy.) As for the food itself, my omelette was as flat and unappealing as a rubber table mat and the sparse fillings were concentrated at one end of the food. And the house feature item ... the aebelskivers? When they came out, the server laid the plate down and dashed. We kept trying to get someone's attention to bring her back so we might get some gravy to have with them? All I can figure is that we must have been as invisible to them as to the hostess. No chance for gravy, eh? This was the most aggravating (BUT EXPENSIVE) breakfast mistake we've had in a long time. I know this much... next time, if the occasion arises... Denny's is right next door and we can get treated as minimally as we were for a whole lot less of my hard-earned money. SO DISAPPOINTED at them and angry with myself for not venting all this to the manager before leaving. read more

I've been several times but wanted to bring my dad here before his flight home. The service was exceptional. From the moment we walked in until we were finished, we were constantly checked on and the food was delivered fairly quickly. I had the German Potato Pancakes. Light and fluffy, with bits of sausage in the batter. They were served with applesauce which is the perfect condiment. My dad had Veggie Browns and Cheese. The veggies were fresh and paired well with the potatoes. I also ordered the Original Aebelskivers that come with a Blackberry Syrup and Applesauce. Because it was Dad's first time there, the waitress brought over a small dish of 3 Stuffed (Savory sausage and Havarti cheese). Both types of Aebelskivers were warm and tasty. We had plenty of food left over for another breakfast. read more

Wonderful service and an interesting menu, all well-executed. Portion sizes were immense.

This place was top 5 breakfast foods I've ever had. I have no idea why someone would give it less than 5 stars. The service was great. Our waitress was super pleasant and attentive. Everything done in timely fashion. The food was out of this world. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Portions were great too you're getting lots of food. read more

Outstanding food! Old world traditional dishes creatively prepared. Had the Hungarian goulash served as a breakfast scramble. The peri peri sauce is not for the faint of heart. I have a high tolerance for spicy foods and this hit a nice level between making my nose run but not quite hot enough to make my forehead sweat. Many intriguing pastries, pancakes other sweet options, but I'm still recovering from the holidays. Servers were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Facility was clean, comfortable and efficiently organized. Must try if you are in the area! read more

We really love the breakfast and cinnamon rolls at Old European! We stopped in a few weeks ago and ordered 2 cinnamon rolls to go. They were not what we expected. The rolls were dry, especially around the edges. We couldn't even eat them because they were so dry. We went back and nicely explained the situation to one of their employees. She was extremely rude, and said that I would have to talk to her manager. The manager was the rudest person I have ever encountered at a restaurant. She said that she could replace them, but that was it!!! I told her that would be fine. That's all that we wanted. She came back with a box and said that she talked to the CEO, and I should have came back sooner!!! We rarely drive to Post Falls. The situation was so embarrassing. Why must someone be rude over 2 cinnamon rolls. It just wasn't worth it! read more

A charming restaurant where everything is made from scratch, old style. We and our friends had the Swedish strawberry crepes, sourdough bread with strawberry jam, buckwheat and regular pancakes, eggs and bacon. The fresh squeezed OJ was mild and delicious. The pancakes, both types were so tender and fluffy, and the bacon was exceptional in flavor. The crepes were extra flavorful with orange juice in the batter. The only disappointment in the meal was the fresh fruit cup. It was apples, grapes, and cantaloupe, which flavors had melded together ....standard buffet fair for a high price. A strawberry, some banana, orange or pineapple would have really made it worth the price. Our waitress and the whole staff were friendly and attentive. We loved the stories in the menu and the homey sayings on the walls, etc. read more

I got the German potato pancakes and they were great. We also tried the abelskeivers. The omelette fell way short of par but the rest was real good. The fresh bread was fantastic.
