We were going to Spokane so I did a search for a breakfast place and this one popped up. We were greeted by the manager of the day and he was very nice and friendly. Our server was Diaca and we told her that we were from California, and this was the first time eating at this place. There was just so much to choose from. It was so hard. I had the dark French pressed coffee, and my husband had a regular medium coffee. Both were very good. I had the Loganberry crêpes, they were really full of cream. I had a side of fruit which I did not need. We got some samples of sausage Apple Skivers from the management, so tasty. My husband had an omelette and a choice of cinnamon roll. Needless to say we took it to go. Wish this place was in California. Everyone was just so friendly and it's a nice place. Very comfortable booths and not too noisy. Also I usually do not give a 5 star for breakfast.

I will start with the positive, the coffee & orange juice tasted good & the eggs were made just the way we ordered them. Our server was very mediocre, only check on us once & was slow to get back to us with drinks & our receipt. She was always kind when at the table, which was refreshing. The hash browns tasted like they had been frost bitten, thawed & cooked. We also decided to get a pancake with whip cream & strawberries. The pancake was average flavor, but the soggy strawberries were gross! When you're paying almost 4 extra dollars for strawberries & whip cream, I would expect fresh. Our bacon was good flavor but extremely thin. The ambiance was fine, just a normal breakfast place. Our bill was over $50 for 2 people. Expensive & not worth that cost. I don't mind spending money for good food , this wasn't it!

Wonderful experience! A family owned business that takes pride in their history and heritage. Everything is baked from scratch and sourced locally. I recommend splitting a Dutch baby it was more than one person could eat in one sitting. Although, excellent re-heated in the over! We were even given a fresh sample of the sourdough and strawberry jam! We will be returning!

The correct name is Kindred & Co. it appears to be a new place. It is hard to spot the name from…read morethe road due to the black on black color scheme. I ordered a drip coffee, served in a fancy-schmancy mug, and a 'Brekky" sandwich with bacon on sourdough (good choice). The coffee was strong and hot, and the freshly-made sandwich was piled high and delicious. The atmosphere is laid back, but not quiet. There are casual conversations and card games going on at the tables, and there are shelves of merchandise to browse. I hope to come back for lunch sometime!

Beautiful place! Great espresso and I thought the breakfast sandwich was good. The selection of…read morebooks seemed heavily skewed towards fantasy/sci-fi and the like with other categories slim to none. Most notable on my visit though was the noise level. Most book stores are considered a calm and relatively quiet place and, at least on this day, was not the case. On the bottom floor of the bookstore (with GREAT acoustics, mind you) sat two people who were having such a loud conversation that it echoed throughout the entire place. Not the worst thing I suppose but this convo happened to be full of f-bombs and just generally negative and nasty comments. Kinda put a damper on my experience-- maybe a few signs asking for low voices on the bookstore side?
