So bummed. I've been wanting to check this place out for a bit. It's my niece's fav whenever she's in town. Love the convenience of the entire set up. It only works if it's up & running. We drove through the drive through to find it all closed up. It was barely 5:30pm on a Tuesday. To bum me out even more they had a ginormous pic of the exact drink I was craving in their window. This is a super quaint little place. The young ladies who served us were very polite, helpful and forthright. They gave service with a smile which is important to me. I don't like when it feels like I'm bothering the servers when placing my order. I didn't feel like that here. They gladly helped us. It's clean and has the feel of home. If we weren't in a hurry, I would have loved to have sat for a long while. The only thing we wished they had, though, is smoothies made from real fruit. They are a pre-made concentrate. They taste good, but we don't know what else is in them. We love smoothies from fresh fruit and knowing the ingredients where just put into it. The egg white spinach quiche was delicious and healthy. I'm not from the area but I'd love to come back here to try more menu items. I recommend coming here! read more

They don't ask people if they want half coffee half sweetener they just go for it; then get pissed and slam the window on you if you ask them to remake it as the "plain latte" you expected. I wanted to like this coffee place due to the high ratings, but it did not impress me. We went through the drive thru and had good and quick service. However, the coffee was very weak and tasted like cardboard. My wife couldn't drink their mocha as well due to weak and poor taste. This is likely due to poor coffee quality as over extraction would have a strong burnt taste. Perhaps people go for the sugar infused drinks and can't taste the coffee. But my Americano was bad. We had to throw it out and go to Evans Bros and had better coffee there. read more

I am super picky with coffee, and normally make mine at home only. I had a meeting to set up & had to find a good spot to have it. I came across this location, and it looked perfect. So glad it turned out to be ideal for the meeting! Nice back room for a bit of added privacy. Comfortable, warm and inviting atmosphere...and a plus was the coffee was great! Staff was super friendly. Bathroom clean. Parking was a little tricky to figure out the first time, only a few spots directly in front...but there are a couple spots behind the drive up coffee shack, and a parking lot behind the cottage on the other side of the chain link fence. A++ customer service and coffee! We went inside to put together some stuff for Christmas. The staff was professional, helpful, and kind! They were accommodating to us for big and small things and when we had an oopsie and spilled our coffee, they came and cleaned it up and never once made us feel bad about it (Al tho we felt terrible!!). The shop was really clean, organized and decorated beautifully for the season. They have won me over as a customer! There are a lot of coffee shops around - some chain and some small. This is THE coffee shop in Post Falls. If you are reading this trying to decide where to get your coffee...stop reading and start driving. The CC really nails everything that a coffee shop is supposed to be. The coffee is absolutely delicious. The options are endless and seasonal drinks are always available. The baristas are fantastic. The girls are so sweet and genuine...and someone is always at the window to keep the interaction going (you aren't left in the cold with your window down waiting for someone to come back eventually with your coffee). I am going to shut myself down before I really get into it... The bottom​ line is that I cater to the black and white...and this group of women is something I could RAVE over. This is officially the only coffee shop we go to anymore. The cafe inside is great to meet for drinks or get some work done. It is small but set up well to feel spacious and comfortable. ---Be sure to tell them how many shots you want in your drink (everything comes with one standard shot). That may be the only downfall...depending on who you are. The drinks are really inexpensive so the additional shots are not a big deal at all. And the prices include tax! read more

I dont mean to sound like a grouchy goose but there is a reason all the pictures are of girls who think they are sexy and have nothing to do with coffee. The 1 drink they pictured has no name and can't find it on the menu. The menu is placed after the window not before so you are forced to panic order. I asked the barista if she could recommend any low carb style coffee. She said sorry we dont have any. So you don't have drip coffee? Breve? Sugar free syrup? Or coconut milk?. Well that's wierd. So I ordered the special for my son. It was good enough. It was a sugary coffee drink that masked the actual coffee like I was expecting. My dog is use to getting treats so he was damned never falling out the window. I found this hysterical and I assumed they didnt give them which I was fine with until the sweet and cute cashier asks did she give your dog a treat yet? No.....didnt even acknowledge him. The cashier was the best part btw very sweet. I will stick to Thomas Hammer it is for actual coffee drinkers. Came to the Coffee Cottage Friday, May 27th and Sunday, May 29th. The first visit I went inside and had a great time talking with the barista! She was great at giving suggestions since we were not sure what to get! I ended up getting a Vanilla Big Train and was certainly impressed. It was so delicious that I came back on Sunday to get the same thing. For this visit I went through the small drive up outside of the main building. Once again, great service and a delicious drink. Treated my (very competent and socially polite) girlfriend poorly during the two weeks of training and fired her for no apparent reason to give. No write ups, no discussion, no mistakes were made known on her part (Idaho is right to work state so this is a matter of informing future baristas of what risks there are, and the intentional lack of courtesy for their employees). My girlfriend was always 15-20 minutes early to work every day. I do not believe it is a discrimination of competence, because she is certainly qualified for this job that offers a whopping $8/hr. I make triple that here in Post Falls and my work has at least the courtesy of informing you with performance reviews and 1 on 1 training. This place seems to think it isn't an entry level job, desiring people already trained for the position, not interested in training people ethically and with transparency for those whom are being employed for the first time. I am eager to hear whatever the reason was for her termination and why it couldn't have been resolved (if they had any level of HR) once she comes in to get her final paycheck. From a customer perspective, the service was not the worst but not great. I went only a few times to count, not many, but I shouldn't have to go a few dozen times to finally get a positive experience. I should have to go just once. This is a nice coffee place that is easily accessible from both sides of the hut. They also have a sit-down shop which is pleasant as well. I love their red bull blasters. The customer service isn't bad, and some of the baristas are absolutely wonderful but it definitely takes a long time for drinks to come out, and things aren't always made the same.
