It was an absolute mess this weekend. There were about 5-6 cars on each side, but instead of keeping things moving, they completely stalled the line. One side was getting through while someone came out to take orders on the long side. After taking each order, they'd go inside, come back out, and take the next order for the car that was about to pull up to the window. By the time they finished, that car could have just ordered at the window and kept things moving. Instead, the line sat completely still because no one was manning the window, and when the person came back out, they helped the newer arrivals instead of the people who had already been waiting 15+ minutes. Using someone to take orders outside could be helpful but only if it's done with some common sense and attention to flow. What should have been a quick 5-10 minute stop turned into a 25-30 minute ordeal. When we finally got to the window, my drink was made wrong, and since I'm allergic to dairy, that's not a small mistake. When I mentioned it, the employee had a major attitude even though it wasn't entered correctly by the person outside. I've given several locations a chance, but between the poor organization and rude service, this was the last straw. Won't be returning. read more

11.25.23: Spotted another coffee hut while visiting the Idaho/Washington area and wanted to try it out since it was so cold out. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and it was perfect. It wasn't too milky or too sweet and totally hit the spot on this chilly day. My friend however, ordered a white chocolate mocha and he didn't like the syrup they used. I love Wake up Call coffee as a whole, but this location just sucks! It's like they don't actually know how to make coffee, or they just don't listen. Like a dummy, I keep going to this location thinking maybe they'll get the order right this time. I usually order a Peppermint white mocha. They NEVER remember peppermint. I changed it up, ordered a vanilla, hazelnut latte. It tastes like water with some coffee in it. I also ordered an abbey, it was weak as well and not even mixed together! This location is closest to my house, but I won't go there again. read more

Whenever we make trips to Spokane, one of the things we look forward to, is the coffee. It's not overly strong. It's not weak. It's perfect. Even if the line is long, they make the line move pretty quickly. Everyone is always upbeat and friendly, which makes the experience better. I know you're thinking, "Gosh, it's just coffee." But coming from the Westside of the state where 3 cars in line means 40 minute waits, overpriced drinks with burnt shots, and stingy rewards programs(once for my free birthday drink I was told I'd have to pay extra for the flavor and white coffee,) Wake Up Call has got it figured out. I love Wake Up Call coffee in general but I drive longer distance to get to the Dishman Wake Up Call b/c I like the people and they make great coffees. Far superior to some of the other locations. Trinity and Cam are FANTASTIC. They get my order right every time and I've only had coffee there once (out of MANY times) that was not exactly right. I think the person who made that one was in training and it was still ok... Wake up call is my first stop in the mornings. Honestly I show up twice a day. Today around 1:15pm I came by and one barista was being completely negative and inappropriate to her coworker. I felt so bad. The other girl was trying to respectfully shut it down but it was really uncomfortable for me... there was a line and this girl still wanted to complain instead of help. Sad. I purchase from the Wake Up Call on Dishman Mica several times. When I order a soda I usually get the right order, but as happened tonight, I ordered a Chai Tea and Grasshopper coffee. I ended up with 2 chia teas. I have had this happen before and am very disappointed. The only reason I stopped there was you are open until 7. 3rd times a charm... that is I will give you 3 times to just be nice and then you loose my business. This location has gotten worse and worse and the younger lady with the long dark hair has just been the last straw. There was NO ONE else in line and I pulled up... she asked for my order and I said I would get the phone number. I order the same thing every time and it's easier to give them the number because I am on a keto diet and I go here specifically because they save it and I don't have to ask how many carbs are in each kind of milk!)... she told me to tell her what I wanted so she could get it started... then continued, americano, espresso, etc????? . I explained that I would give the phone number and she insisted again very rudely... (NO ONE else in line!) So I give her the number and she scoffs at me as she reads the quad white... really? I was in Spokane on a work trip and I stopped here to grab a coffee. I got the c3 which I thought was a cool concept because I'd never heard of carbonated coffee before. The barista suggested a small pump of vanilla and a dash of cream to add. I am so glad I took her advice!!! I normally don't do dairy in my coffee but it was fantastic!!! Coffee and staff are awesome. Every time I go through there, they are quick on their feet and will make an effort to come outside to take my order before I even pull up to the window. They make sure you like your coffee so if you go back that day and say it wasn't very good, they will remake it for free. I know my espresso. I am very picky when it comes to the taste of my drinks. It doesn't matter which baristas make my drink, it is perfect every time. My traditional drink is a 16oz triple iced caramel latte with non fat milk. No other espresso stand or cafe even comes close for some reason. I was told it was because they make it with love :) I even buy their whole beans to make my own espresso at home it's so smooth. read more

ve gone to this location for a long time and they have always been really friendly, and very fast. I've noticed that recently a lot of their really good staff has left, and I'm not a huge fan of a lot of their new hires. Recently almost every time I come in, my coffee tastes burnt. The staff is not very fast and they are usually too busy talking very loudly about their personal lives and talking crap about customers in ear shot of other customers to be able to focus on what they should be doing which holds the lines up. The short/ smaller guy with the longer blonde hair and the girl with very short white/blonde hair mess up my coffee almost every time I come in, and barely even look at you because they are too busy flirting with each other. I thought it was a fluke, but it's almost every single time. Aside from both of their lack of being able to make decent coffee, they both appear to not have the gift of personal hygiene either. I really hate to be that person, but I am very disappointed in the customer service as of late. It sucks because this place is located right by my house on the way to work, but I'll probably be stopping somewhere else from now on. I always tip, even if the service isn't great, but I'm tired of wasting that money now on bad service and bad coffee every time. I will say that the tall darker skin guy is great, and makes great coffee. Kudos to that guy. But I miss the other morning girls. They were so fast, funny and they never disappointed. read more

I love Wake Up Call's coffee! I am really sad all their locations are just in Spokane Valley but I still make the trip to get a drink. Their coffee is smooth and not to sugary like Starbucks's crap. I've tried a few places in Spokane (just moved here a couple months ago). I've been to Forza whenever I'm in Southill and have tried Thomas Hammer. I've also had Doma at Madeleine's and Wake Up Call is by far my favorite. Well worth it! read more

This is my go-to coffee stand for 7 years now, and Wake Up Call is one of the best in town. Kimmy was the manager there and left to take over a new store on the north end. Kimmy and her team were incredible! They hustled out to cars in line to keep things moving during peak business. I never felt I ever had to wait long for my coffee. And the crew was consistently the same people, so they really knew their regulars and were always so nice and friendly. Since Kimmy has left, I've watched a steady decline in the level of service at this stand. Nobody seems too worried about moving the lines along. They wander out occasionally to get orders, but not if there's any type of weather occurring. The other day I waited almost 15 minutes and I was one of two cars in the line. I see a lot of new faces all the time, which makes me think they can't keep help. I love this coffee but I've really lost faith in this coffee stand. read more
