this place is so overpriced and the so slow. The quality of the food and kindness of the employees is the only thing that keeps me coming back occasionally. I ordered a sausage, egg cheese and jam breakfast sandwich and they were it, which was no big I just changed it to a bacon, egg and cheese, asiago bagel, but the bagel was so hard as a rock. I couldn't even eat it. I tried to call and complain to get a new bagel next time and nobody answered the phone. The crew here is always super friendly and efficient. They have two sides to the drive thru and walk in and limited seating available. If the line starts to back up, they quickly get someone out in the drive thru line to take orders in advance before it becomes a problem. They always offer our dog a treat too which is a nice touch. While I tend to always order the same thing, my family switch it up frequently and so far all of their suggestions have been a hit. I personally haven't enjoyed the food options as much, so would be my suggestion for where they could improve the options. My spouse gets food items sometimes though so YMMV. read more

Unsure of what to get, I asked my barista what was the best thing to get for a "beginner" and after a few seconds of polling, she whipped up my very first latte. I was very happy that they carried both soy and almond milk because I'm lactose intolerant. Since then, I've tried numerous coffee stands and none can compare to Wake Up Call. Decided to check out this cute little coffee shop instead of going to Starbucks today, and I'm so glad I did! It was my first time here, and the workers here are so friendly and helpful. One of the workers approached my car and asked what I wanted to order, and when I told her that it was my first time here, she immediately asked if she could go grab me a menu; however, it wasn't needed because I was next in line and the car in front of me just left. I pulled up to the window, and the person there recommended that I try the pumpkin chai latte when I told her I wanted something warm with chai.. and let me tell you, the pumpkin chai latte is soooooo good. The mixture of chai and pumpkin is just right, and there isn't a bitter after taste that you might have with some pumpkin drinks! I've gone to wake up call every morning for the last 7, literally every single morning. I used to be a Starbucks regular but switched because of the prices and inconsistency. I have gone to all 4 valley wake up locations, and Sullivan is by far my favorite. There drive thru will sometimes get 5/6 cars deep and yet I'm still in and out in about 5 minutes. Always quick. The coffee! I love there roast. I actually have there drip roast at work too. They also serve white coffee which is a must for me, lately. My coffee is always right.. And the few times it's tasted off they fixed it right away. My favorite girl (guilty of not knowing her name) just peeled back to part time and is now delivering to local businesses :(, but that's okay most of the other girls are always nice. I've probably had only a handful of occasions, which is not many for 7 months, actually be snotty and serve my coffee with a smile. Good job wake up call on Sullivan! You guys kick butt! read more

Spokane has such amazing coffee stands in the area and I feel sorry for places who aren't as lucky as we are. Wake Up Call is by far my favorite! This business has perfected the blended drink; I've never been to a coffee stand that has drinks as smooth as theirs. I try their special of the week each time I go in and each creation hasn't disappointed. I recommend getting their physical punch card rather than using their app. You rack up free drinks much quicker using their card. Once you hit 10 points on the card you've earned yourself a free drink. One point per drink (unlike Starbucks which is one point per order). When using the app you get $3 when you spend $50. The physical card is a better deal. A benefit I've heard about the app is that when the baristas scan your app to pay, you really aren't paying up front. The app is linked to your bank account; however, they deduct your Wake Up Call transactions once a month. It's a cool concept, but I feel like I would get myself into some trouble doing that. It's all about personal preference though! read more

The beautiful part of this small business is that they accept AMEX, not many small businesses accepts AMEX. Their locations are convenient and their exterior are friendly and welcoming. I only ordered a cup of coffee and the latte was not that hot ,but I've got the sense that this location is more focused on ground black coffee and more of a grab and go location. Everytime I go here, the coffee isn't very good. Tonight, I got a 7 shot coffee, "breve" because they apparently don't just add cream to it. It's weak, and the milk tastes funny. I go to this shop a lot since it is next to my work and I don't like Starbucks. The girls are usually friendly, quick to take my order and the coffee is good. They do lack a bit of consistency though. Ordering the same thing is a toss up on if it will be made correctly - however, they rarely mess up on my drinks entirely. A good example is the blended drinks. Whether they use blending powder or rough ice changes the texture and this, the enjoyment of the drink. Not enough ice or leaving it the powder leaves you with a watery drink, barely blended. Still one of the better coffees I've had in town in the end. The baristas at this location almost seem bothered that I'm there ordering my coffee. They don't greet, they don't ask how my day is going, smile, etc. The best part of ordering coffee is the EXPERIENCE! Typically have a great outcome at Wake Up Call. Absolutely love the breakfast sandwiches and the Abby. The attitude of the baristas though is very unpleasant. I believe the girl helping us at the drive through was either brand new or training. We gave her our order for Breakfast sandwiches and she relayed word for word to the girl helping her. The girl helping her then says "Asiago and Jalapeño sandwiches? I don't even know what that means" and just moved the first girl out of the way. Then just gave us a sour attitude the rest of the visit. This isn't the first time that this has happened when I come to this location. The girls are either bickering being snarky towards each other or being short with the customers. I usually go to this location and to Evergreen. I will admit I prefer the Evergreen location. Last few times I have been to this location my coffee has been warm at best. I usually do not notice till after I have left. Other then that. I am a convert. The coffee tastes so much better and the cost is a fraction of Starbucks. Service is always great and the coffee tastes wonderful (not the usual burnt taste from SB). I have traveled all over the world and have tried many coffees. That said, I randomly stopped here with a friend before heading to the race track and was greeted by such friendly service! It totally made my morning! I ordered a 16oz iced chai and was pleasantly surprised. My buddy ordered a hot chai. Both were well balanced with flavor. I am very much interested in returning to this place. When I went this morning, the lady came to my car she asked me how I was doing, and before I could even finish my sentence she said "good what would you like" making me feel like they're trying to get everyone out of the line fast, and don't understand what good customer service is. This place is an interesting concept as a whole, we loved the different options but the service and quality are lacking. We were on way through to Seattle after a long drive from Wisconsin. Suffice it to say that coffee was a necessity and we wanted more than the average Starbucks experience. As a previous coffee shop manager my advice is to service customers based on arrival; especially drive threw. Managers or shift leads should have breaks pre-planned and adhered to as much as possible so your third barista isn't going on break with a full lobby and cars in both drive threws. I understand delays but we waited almost 10 minutes behind someone and then another 10 before we even ordered. A very polite and apologetic girl took the order for the first drink and then promptly walked away as I started asking for our second beverage. She comes back and asks if we want one or two shots in our 24 ounce drinks. That seems a bit on the cheap side for espresso, how many shots do you put in your 16 oz drinks, a half of one? 16 oz = 1 shot and you add an additional for each size increase. That being said we finally got our drinks. They were sloshed in coffee, I never signed for the purchase or was told my total so I guess Ill find out how much they cost when I check my bank account next. The drinks themselves, both blended: Don't order the double decker if you are expecting something along the lines of Reeses. It was more like a nut roll topped with cocoa powder. Not bad but not what we were expecting based on the description of chocolate and peanut butter. Also, it was overly sweet. It seriously tasted like someone had mixed marshmallows in it. The dirty spiced chai with hemp milk I requested and was told they could make was NOT spiced at all. In fact I don't even think it was chai, at least not like I have ever experienced. Its beyond sweet, it tastes like its straight sugar and I'm highly doubtful it was made with hemp. I'm sure I'll know a few hours into the rest of our drive since I'm lactose intolerant. And yes, I am still drinking it because those two measly shots of espresso are going to get me through the rest of our drive. Three stars for the name, the concept, and the many options.
